spilled black ink on the paper

the same time i invited
a thief that stole

you unfurl my petals for me

i didn't know i was a flower
until the bee came to me

the number of pillows in my bed
is the number of worries in my head
i have also a pillow
that never leaves my bed
tucked beside my heart
reserved for you

without any delay
i jumped in the water
my lungs were burning,
screaming for oxygen
but I couldn't back out
not until i could pull you out
safely with me
for some time, all I could see
was the infinite gradient blue
of the ocean
i could swim away
but i rather drown with you

if you're going to hold on me
i won't put up a fight
just promise me
you'll do it right

everything suddenly reminded me
of why I was alive
i was ready to die once
but you killed me twice
one with kindness
one with your ****** smile
i was alive but barely breathing
flowers crept up my chest
why did you have to ruin everything?

my heart is too busy
pumping blood
my mind will love you
instead

for once
i protected myself
and it hurt like hell
sharper than any
knife in the shelf
only to realize later
sometimes we bleed
for the right reasons
sometimes a scar

i dare not move, nor utter a sound
the world spun as it held me
before coming to a full stop
souls leapt out from their windows
jewelry slipped off my wrist

for me who waited, it felt like eternity
for you, prolly a millisecond only

a string of letters
better than any language
it rolls off the tongue
and sticks to the mind like honey
the scent of tea and petals
the sound of strings and chimes
angels' choir and booming drums
all at once

green lace, straight face
floating down the aisle
with a bottled juice drink in hand
i blinked from where i stand
forced myself to look away
but on second glance, i stayed
longer than i should have
“what an odd taste”, i say
both for you, and for me

breathe in, breathe out
keep calm and stay relaxed
laugh when it's funny
smile when you're happy
flex those face muscles
frown when you're angry
speak up, be heard
always in a manner
so gentle yet firm
know when to sit down
and listen too
words will come when they do
you'll learn the world revolves
around the sun— not you
and most of all
remove the glove
touch the people you love
they're precious
when held in your heart
they're most precious
when held in your arms

if the earth revolves around the sun,
that means we all do
but why is the center of my world
you?

when everyone shut their eyes
mine was wide awake, searching for you
it's easy to get lost in this masquerade
but i recognize you anyway
among an ocean of diamonds,
you are the only pearl
you veil yourself in shades of yellow and white
but when the cloak slips off
your beauty glows faintly, easy on the eyes
you worry that you're not as brilliant
and dazzling as other light
that the blemishes you hide
will be exposed with bright light
but it is exactly why i keep looking
even the tides rise when you're near
how much more this ocean of emotions?
