My 3rd ten page paper
Daniel K Apr 2019
After the two, I underestimated you.
Time was wasted till four days left to finish.
Piece of cake drove me insane.
All the more did I rip my hairs out
When you gave me that smirk
Daring me to complete you if I could...
Ever.
The more I tried the more I knew,
Petrified before the reality
As I scrutinized at my reflection in the mirror
With saggy eyes that lost its light
And back at you; unfinished masterpiece of Frankenstein.
Chained down by the inscriptions of nightmare
I give up all hopes to be free.

The last 2 days I perceive to be
Long yet way too short.
Truly the hands are moving forth without mercy
As I am writing this poem instead of
My 3rd ten page paper.

Root
Daniel K Feb 2019
Buried in darkness,
Accompanied by scent of metal and dirt,
No time given to discover colour.
But to toil on and on, day and night,
Supplying the fortunate doppelgänger with
All the needs to prosper.
Whether it knows or not,
That ****** beauty never fails to show.
Eyes of recognition solely
Centred on the fruit bearer where
It’s decorated with wonders of nature.
Though with flick of a finger,
It’s life will cease as the supplier
Has all the power in the world to
Go into strike.
Arousal of schemes powered by
Darkness about, that of light
Will shrivel into the fine dust,
Those that feed the void
Of Jealousy.

Farewell
Daniel K Jan 2019
Give it a thought,
At least one more time.
Let us consult
The one advisor
Before we draw a conclusion
To our, what seems to be,
Incomplete memoir.

The sword taken
Out of its sheath,
Determined to repel all persuasions.
The dreams we dreamt
To see the many stars
Is now left as just a dream.

Only toil left for me
Is to convince myself to
Believe this is the plan of the One.
However, the ***** that sustains my life
Aches to see the present
Becoming only a history.
Dreaming again to see
The brighter star laid before our eyes.
I bid you
Farewell.

Flower to my eyes;
Invisible to yours.
Excitement I yearn to share;
Your countenance is indifferent.
I don’t understand why
But you’re not the one
To tell me.

Bus ride
Daniel K Feb 2019
Bouquet of unfamiliar faces
Minding own business.
Each with own story to tell
But ‘shhhh, it’s a secret’.
Excluding none takes the ride
That leads them to the next destination.
Only oneself know of
The coming journey to be told.
Sudden nudge on the back,
‘Excuse me,’
There goes one.
But no worries,
Vacant spots are to be
Filled with new,
Name less companions.
I see them come and go
As I wait
For my own story to
Unfold.

What’s your name?
Daniel K Jul 2019
Unknown is your name
You who burns bright
In the vast and plane pasture.
Stand surrounded
By chosen pebbles
That of which completes your solemness.
Your lone stance that wets
The green beds with brilliant rouge
Draws me ever close
To ponder upon the name
I wonder to be
As dazzling as your appeal.

Spring for my lonely soul
Daniel K Mar 2019
Hairs rise up
Firm with determination on a
Dry cold desert
Against the force of winter.
The frozen air compresses
My body into a stuffed dwarf
And churns my stomach with the
Utmost force I was ignorant of.

There is no place for me
In this forsaken season.
Wandering around - unsuccessful
In finding the warmth that
Can embrace my numb skin.

Prayer is the only option to
Soothe my yearning
For Spring to carry the
New wave of heat
That will breathe life into
My lonely soul.

Flight
Daniel K May 2019
Wings beat in parallel with
The coordination of the wind.
With the growth of every feather,
Another falls out, totally ignorant of
The alluring desperate eyes.
Though I fly away, the wings
Of my future beholds the pieces
I took from the sincerity I left behind.
Now I fly away with the dreams to
Reunite those puzzles - with the
Permission of the stars -
That I stole away.

Dangerous addiction
Daniel K Apr 2019
A puff of curiosity withdraws
Bewilderment out of my lung.
Though, quick to become my amusement,
I’m lead into an orgastic pleasure.

A dose of you completely fills the void
Within the brachial branches of my lung.
The naivety within me pleasantly
Accepts the corruption that you pose.

A dose of you is now my daily diet
That fuels every precipice of the
Body to its functioning capability.
Minutes without - not tolerated
By the deepest yearning for
A puff of obsession to you.

Temptation
Daniel K Mar 2019
A tickle on the earlobe
Subtle enough to be inconspicuous
Draws the attention of
Subconscious being.
Whisper with the essence of
Sweetness enchants the prey
To surrender its leash.
A tactician of great wisdom
Does not fail to miss the chance
To behold his reign on a pawn,
A sacrificial entity drawn out
Of its freedom in
Hopes to resurrect
As a queen.
Its demise, nonetheless,
Is that of a tragic hero.

First snow of winter
Daniel K Jan 2019
Branched pearl with a swift.
Beyond the scope of the shade of white;
Dazzle the eyes of those without.
Their limited minds fail to comprehend;
Most enticing yet so delicate
To the touch.
The knowing must watch in empathy.
The obviously perfect beauty,
So soon to diminish
In to the utmost depression
Of tar.
Not everything lasts forever

Breaking the glass
Daniel K Jan 2019
The sweetness that I thought,
It came out from my mouth.
I never could imagine the vice
That came forth from it.
As the resonance of the sound
Bounced off the glass of their being,
Pieces of the fragile flew all around.
The return I received induced
Guilt and shame, but most of all
Fear.

The parasite in me I fear.
Regardless of my consciousness,
I am forced to exhibit such hostility.
The reflection I see through the broken glass,
Is the broken image of myself.

Embrace
Daniel K Jan 2019
The tight squeeze.
It’s force regulated by the depth of a wound;
Until it is mended
The heart continues to weep.

The longer the hold, the faster it is.
It’s silence speaks louder than ever.
Lungs dilate and contract with relief.
The heart begs for more.
Tighter.
Longer.

Before you know it,
It’s already been done.
What seemed permanent
Ended in warmth.

The Wish
Daniel K Jan 2019
How I wish.
Fat lips trembling, blazing heart pounding.
Fine words resist with all its might,
Holding dearly to my tongue.

******* down the drops of pain into the esophagus,
I lay, unable to digest.
I lay, with sickness of patience.
How I wish.

Heartache
Daniel K Jan 2019
Was thought to be a myth
Before the resonating pain
From the core till the very precipice
Ignorant of catastrophic burden before.
Seconds
Minutes
Days
Weeks
Months
No intention found to dissipate
Wondering about the chance of
It’s eternity.
I’m bound to experience
Menacing sorrow
Burrowing in depth.
Maybe so
I won’t ever forget.
Daniel K Apr 2019
With care, nutritious soil laid over
The hard shell love had moulded.
Small hope sprouted out from what seemed
To be endless days and nights.
Vigilant hand covered the twinkling dews in fear
They may be blinded by dazzling
Beam of early horizon.

Display of peaceful green soothes
Ever growing concerns.
Prideful grin drawn upon the face
Whenever those fine leaves
Stretched before the morning rays.

Those days, watching you grow wild
Within the gentle touch of a small garden,
Filled me with arrays of emotions.
Anxious to see you withstand
The hostile plays of nature.
Exhilarated whenever your tiny
Limbs danced to the rainy tempo.
Tranquility sat beside us as we
Made conversation our daily routine.

Those days I miss with great regret.
How the excitement to see
The opening of the bud, greeting
The world with your mesmerizing smile,
Painted the stars in my dream.
The star by your name guided
Me towards the land of paradise.

Looking out the petit, square framed window,
A spot of presence brings scarred nostalgia.
The very space my heart withered
With a bud that was due to blossom.
How depressing it is to see youth pass on before they can see the vast future ahead of them.

Beauty that’s lost
Daniel K Apr 2019
Glamour that can’t be lost
Unless the world meets its end.
Painted in emotional sky;
Eyes stolen by its beauty.
With surging greed, I pursued to attain it.
To hold in my arms.
To restrain its freedom for the fluttering
Of my heart.
With spirited pair of wings,
Those that were only of my dreams
Became the reality before my eyes.
Each beat of the fair artifact drew me ever so closer to
The goddess of sky clothed in white robe.
The gorgeous array of light emitted through her
Kindled the lustful devil incarcerated in depth.
But her beauty is lost
As my sinful hands closed onto
What now became formless.
Before I could question its disappearance I’m thrown off from the edge of mere nothingness
Plummeting back into my perception
Of the reality between us.

Uncontrollable hands ticked away,
Rose petals opened up in warm spring wind,
Left me with the fingerprints of your scent.

Uncontrollable hands ticked away,
Disarray of rose petals left to rot in autumn wind,
We pass on from each other’s eyes
As though we’ve never met.

What mystery is hidden.

Decision, made
To believe those shed skins
Are truly you.

Every tick of an hand
Life runs away
Never know where it stands
Surely it’s not for free
1 micro-litre of blood per second
Invested in you

Was worthwhile
You must know
And reassure
That it was not
For a waste

Inspiration
Daniel K Jan 2019
Like the wind
To cool my head
From the burning ray of the sun,
You breathe on me.
I’m alerted to find
Just the whisper passing by.
I’d love for you to stay
But you tell me
You have to go.
I desire to have you
But you wish to be free.
Begging - I only thought of.
But your cold blooded heart
Turned it’s back on me.
But I’m still waiting
For you to return
To cool my head
Once again.
