Being here and there
Now, the destination is clear

I was in a deep slumber
Unheeded words become audible

I find it hard to decipher

Now that this new awakening
How am I supposed to react?
Let’s not converse in our usual language
And go beyond words to express our hearts
Maybe our hearts yearning to connect
Without the crutches of words
Let there be no props and only pure emotions
In the stage of our life, let’s don a new role

The lights are fended off
By the iron curtains
Everything becomes brittle
On the verge of breakdown
The last will to stand up
Is robbed by the tyranny
Hope is an oasis
In the midst of the desert

All I have is a piece of blotting paper

So many words leave you meandering
When brevity can take you home faster

There is a bridge across the raging river
Bridging the gap from between destinations
As if the river is conquered to submission
The thick pillars taking the onslaught

People from all walks of life, walk across
Creating bridge among people’s life
It’s an exchange of ideas and skills
Between the two separate destinations
As successfully bringing the society together
The bridge stands strong and allows a free passage
Bearing no discriminatory thoughts
Building bridges, to reach out to each other
Acting as the lifeline for so many people
In times of eventualities, happy or sad
The bridge is testimony to so many occurrences
Patiently serving the multitude
Cushioning them from the fury of the river
It’s concrete in its resolve to protect
To bridge the differences in people’s hearts
Build new bridges to reach out to everyone
Mend the cracks in time, to take care of the bridge

A traveler who wants to explore

Sleep beckons
And we are in a dream

Blinded by the bright lights
Darkness seemed more welcoming
Path leading to cul-de-sac

When the whole world is in haste
And all the faces become blurry
At breakneck speed, commuting
To destinations of one’s choice
There is an urgency to catch up
Everyone going through an evaluation
The amount of happiness and agony
Not equally distributed in one’s kitty
Ostentatious lifestyles numbered few
Dazzling prosperity and earnestness
A world outside the ordinary
Everyone has an anecdote to narrate
Deep within, the urgency to live up
And meet the expectations of others
Forgetting to get a grip on our life
Why live someone else’s viewpoint
In a haste to keep the façade
Life has its pace and we outdo it
Being careless to not heed its calling
Life had other designs
Aligned with pace of nature
In our expediency, neither Nature nor Life
Are in sync anymore
When the whole world is in haste
Life is lived not the way it was intended

A broken heart
Its wound invisible
Yet it bleeds the soul

We are occupied with being busy
Busy missing those small hints
Busy ignoring people around us
Busy not paying attention to oneself
Busy overlooking the crumbling bonds
Busy clearing away nature’s beauty
Busy taking things for granted
Busy enveloping the truth with falsity
Busy embellishing the present
Someday in future we shall stand trial
As to how occupied were we being busy

A transformation so beautiful
Can emerge from a cocoon
Months in tranquility
Praying for the moments of splendor  
When hope gets wings
To kiss the beautiful flowers
It’s a magical journey
There’s sunshine and love
Winged angels perched on flowers

Awake throughout the night
I gaze at the canopy above
Lit with numerous twinkling stars
Making me feel like a star
As if the stage is set for me to ponder
The luxury of the quietness, is priceless
At night, the mind seems the brightest
When the fountain of thought overflows
Replenishing the queries of the heart
The busy mind slows down
A rendezvous between the mind and heart starts
That is only when my doubts are cleared
I am a silent audience, listening to the reasoning
The heart and the mind are my guides
Providing me the guiding light, for the road ahead
And the night seems brighter compared to day
As consciousness gets a new lease of life
To get me through another journey, the next day
And the night is a reminder, it’s there for me
To host me at the center stage, showering me with stars

I merge with its calmness
