Expecting something in return for our love

‘Love’: “I am the undefined, words can’t contain me.”
Who can ‘love’?
‘Love’: “Everyone is welcome to my world, I don’t discriminate.”
Why is there abuse of ‘love’?
‘Love’: “I am abused when they use my name to exploit.”
Is ‘love’ losing its relevance?
‘Love’: “Love is rooted strongly and can’t be uprooted.”
What is the future of ‘love’?
‘Love”: I am not bound by the past, present and future, as I am the way of life.”
Can we be healed by ‘love’?
‘Love’: Try me, I can heal the world.”
When did ‘love’ begin?
‘Love’: “I have neither beginning nor end; I am infinite.”

Love gushes through my veins and sinews
Captures my heart and makes it beat
In rhythm with yours, feeling the pulsating surge
Although an illiterate with the worldly ways
I can read the alphabets of love
Love written all over you, I can feel with every touch
As days go by, I become aware of the unspoken language
You have transformed and encircled me
Now I speak the language of love with proficiency
Because you and me only belong to Love
Only love has been a patient teacher

Sometimes with a pout
Airing some disapproval
With the wave of her hand
She turns back and
Gives a nonchalant glance
Sometimes disapproval
But her side glances
Reveal a different story
The gait of a ballet dancer
There’s rhythm in her feet
Voices her opinions
With her surreal notes
Her piercing gaze
Tears down all defenses
Here, helpless soul
Is mesmerized
It’s a luscious night

There is magic in
A moment's indulgence

All that we know maybe distorted
Or a methodical manipulation
Where truth is obfuscated by few
Which spreads like an epidemic
Words used with vested interest
For us to play a role given to us
Memorizing the scripts, to deliver
Speeches with someone else’s ideas
Thoughts and feelings engineered
To suit the machinations of few
With sinister ideas to play with the mind
A conscious and intelligent manipulation
Bereft of the tools of our own judgment
Our perception is not even ours
For the mind has been violated
With the scheming and methodical manipulations

How great an artist
The work of an ace sculptor
So many faces I see
There’s beauty in all
No end to inspiration
To keep creating everyday
Gifted with beautiful heart
And radiant feelings
Genuine smile on those faces
Fills everyday with happiness
A portrait of the soul
Can be seen on the faces
The glint in the eyes
Are jewels of the face
Stars descend on earth
Mesmerized by the eyes
Smiles win hearts
I see so many faces
And I am filled with joy

Many words spoken
Leaves one in a quandary
Voicing their opinions
Wooing the crowds
But none touches the heart
It’s but a veil to disguise

It’s a sorry sight to see all mayhem
Kindness is in slumber
For those who are awake in madness
And conscience is a loser
For the rogues revel in atrocities

Through the meandering roads
Visited so many dwellings on my way
Listened to so many narration
Stories from yesteryear unfolded
Many faces of happiness and grief
Experienced an heart to heart connect
Shadows of the forest and open valleys
Greeted by the dew drenched mornings
Silent nights with the moon’s soft rays
Along the meandering roads I walked
Every settlement welcomed me
With a warm heart and a story to narrate
Lucky, that I chose the meandering roads

Meditate on the present
And listen to your soul
As it prepares you for future
Breathe in life to rejuvenate
And realize the power within you

In the single drop of your tears
I could feel the core of your heart
Deep in mourning for years
Now the tears roll down silently
For years, submerging your soul
In the sea of melancholy
Waiting for someone to hold your hand
And pull you towards the shore

There is solace in being alone
Memories etched in the heart
Loneliness cannot breach
Memoirs scripted by them
Every word infused with love

The memories are there
In a crafty serpentine position
Slithering and winding
Waiting to constrict the present
Fueling rage seethes within
Spitting fire

A memory so old, turned to sepia
From the pigmentation of Time
Losing all defining boundaries
As the album pages become dog eared
Due to long years of reminiscing
The moments shared together
A happy snapshot, now fading away
Can’t recall anymore on introspection
The album full of memories
Black and white turns to sepia
And ravages of time discolors
Once colorful moments
Captured only in black and white

Towards you and deluge the present
One moment that has touched your heart
Keeps afloat, in spite of the rough waves

Mind cannot reason the reason of the heart

My mind is adrift, carrying me afar
Away from the binds of words
Beyond the realm of consciousness
Of the regular and mundane
Taken off, to reach a higher plane
Which has housed me in quietude
Away from marooning thoughts
I have found my island of bliss

Your reflection is in the water
Stir the water and it gets distorted
The ripples carrying away your image
Leaving you defaced for a moment
As if a part of you is washed away
Cleansing you of your previous self
Giving you a new lease of life*

The mirror offers you an image
Mirroring your inner-self
Also reflecting your thoughts
Imaging according to your perception
Either you are in alliance, what you see
Or shocked by the alter-ego hidden
Now reflected by the crystal clear mirror
Sometimes the clarity is a revelation
Difficult to comprehend
When you are in front of the mirror
Standing in front of another ‘You’
It’s a dual versus you and your twin
Always carrying that image in you
Now clearly exposed by the mirror
Reflection of the self, reflecting on your mind
Is it a union of duality?
Seamlessly bound, unaware all the while
Until you confront the mirror
Challenging you with the duality
Not a deceit, but now aware of the self
Is it that the mirror gives a self-realization?
What the mirror offers, is not only an image

Feelings ran amuck the fine china
Overindulgence and sediments of past
A mind vandalized by the iron fists
Now looking for revenge to break free
Shattered pieces of fine china lay scattered

The tumultuous words
Created waves of misery
Flooding vast areas of life
Hope failed to stay afloat

So many miss the dawn
Still cloaked with the night
And the soul in your grip
Smothered heart beats feebly
The pain is palpable
Morning comes and goes
While we are busy drowning
in our own tears

Anecdote written on a misty window
Weary thoughts slowly dripping away
Every cold word exhaled in a whisper
Fog of woes dims the visibility further

The mind is inebriated
With the mix of emotions
Dancing in a frenzy
Reaching dizzying moments
Where words seem blurry
Trying to reach out to them
Express the negative euphoria
You can’t but help
To dance with them
In a state of stupor
Open your heart
To let the emotions flow
Splashes on ink
From the brimming heart
Falls on the paper
With the mix of emotions

Wider roads
Reclaimed our abode
Lesser spaces
More roadways
Leads nowhere
Classy vehicles
Steering for long
Congested traffic
Life comes to
A standstill
Homes push away
Further from heart
Electronic signals
Directs our journey
Everyone back home
Waits for none
This is a journey
With a passion
Without a rear view mirror
There’s no looking back

Glistening with beads of passion
The curves accentuated with every touch
Every drop of love quenching the thirst
Enraptured souls breathing life in to each other
Creating a surge of emotional waves

my heart next to yours
leaning to hear
the beats that reverberates
through our senses
the gleeful expressions
and the hands
that beckon
to come closer
and embrace
the harmonizing music
that sings

The moonlight traveler
Walks by the night
Along the silver path
Paved by the brightest stars
To meet his moonlight lover
Greeting her with night-flowers
Back from the moon
Reflecting the sliver light on her
Love glistening with pride

Little birds singing their tunes
Ushering a new beginning
Being gifted with a new sun
Invoking our spirits to rise

There is a blush in the sky
Excited, to wake up the admirers

She sleeps there in the chambers
The morning light caresses her
She paints a picture of serenity
As if time has stopped to appreciate
A perfect painting of sleeping beauty
Braided tresses lies across her beguile heart
Like a serpent entwined across in slumber
Her lithe body, breathing in perfect harmony
Creating a trance like milieu
Her beauty is mesmerizing, the faint glow captivating
Only covered with a sleep linen
The languid morning doesn't dare to wake her up
Pillows are cajoling her and being indulgent  
Her unfading beauty mesmerizes me
The sleeping beauty rests there in grace
As I quietly trespass into her dreams
