Cheesy carnations
Her delicate dimples dream
She blushed, and said yes.

I don't even have you
Johnny Huynh Oct 2014
Remember the poems I used to write to you
Every night I used to be right with chu
Yeah, I  cherished the moments that we had
All the good times seemed to outweigh the bad
You were first to say I love you, you were the first to also leave me
But it's all good
I got some women that want me
Bought them flowers just to past the hours
I'm just wasting time to past what was ours
After a while these girls end like happy hours
With all this time it's hard to adjust to power
So I put away our picture
I've been out of focus
I'm lucky that you fixed the blur
Lucky, you wasn't her
I just need somebody that's for sure

The Sound of a Bullet
Johnny Huynh Sep 2014
Alone, listening to sad music
Mellow voices, perfect lyrics
I can't stop thinking
My thoughts start sinking
Bullet to my head, acoustics

Via Envy
Johnny Huynh May 2014
Holding back, he began to burn
Pride into ashes, the flaker turns.
Preconceived jealousy,
He broke mentally
He let past create the past return.

Haiku #5
Johnny Huynh May 2014
Caved into darkness
blinded and scared, there is hope
to find your lantern.
A lantern enables you to see in the dark. In our world, we cope with negative events that blind us or scare us, but when you find your lantern, you will be able to visualize your world in a new light or perspective.

Why do you leave, friend?
Scratching my hair, running far
Guess that's why we have split ends.

Just Hold On
Johnny Huynh May 2014
Hands shake as she looks at the mirror
Dreams wash away from the liquor.
She continues to sip
To drown relationships
Until she can't see any clearer.
Johnny Huynh May 2014
You make your own luck, she told me
From sweat and tears there's no room to plea.
That life is a test
to bring out the best.
It is something you feel, and not see.

Not Everything Is About You
Johnny Huynh May 2014
When you are suffering, I help you
seldom time, my life becomes askew.
But when I am in need
my heart is left to bleed.
It is something you never pursue.

Johnny Huynh May 2014
At times you speak with no filter
eyes shutter and life becomes darker.
Without the negatives
there are no positives.
Focus, you are your perfect picture.

Thanks For Being You
Johnny Huynh May 2014
December eighth was when I found you
you were something else, something new.
I just want you to know
I'll never let go.
Forever, I will always be true.

Until Mañana
Johnny Huynh May 2014
Sana Sana is what she would say
she told me the pain would wash away.
She wanted time alone
to look upon his throne
to heal you had to pray.
Sana sana means heal heal. My girlfriend tells me that all the time when I am in pain. She broke up with me in order to heal, to spend more time with God.
