December 14
Anonymous Mar 2014
On December 14, 2012
Children hid in cubbies,
They hid in shelves.
Teacher's surrounded
And spoke them kind words,
For out in the halls,
The shots could be heard.
Just an elementary school
Filled with laughter and joy,
Was stripped of its fun
All because of one boy.
A tear fell from America's eyes,
As we heard the news,
For now twenty-six angels,
Our country did lose.
Newtown, Connecticut
Will never be the same.
Engraved in its heart,
Is sorrow and pain.
Twenty children,
Six adults.
They didn't deserve it,
They weren't at fault.
Now all of our hearts
Are filled with sorrow,
We never expected
They wouldn't see tomorrow.
Twenty-six angels
On a friday, flew away.
Rest easy, sweet angels.
In our hearts you will stay.

Thoughts
Anonymous Mar 2014
As I laid in my bed,
So many thoughts encompassed my brain;
I couldn't fathom the concept of myself.
Why was I put on this Earth?
If everything truly does happen for a reason,
What was the reason of my existence?

Hipster?
Anonymous Mar 2014
I wear glasses to see,
Not to look "cool."
I read books to feel intellectually challenged
And go on adventures to new lands,
Not to take pictures of the pages
On my Nikon camera
And get "notes" on Tumblr.
I drink tea to relax myself,
Not to be like everybody else.
Do all these things make me a hipster?
A poser?
Or *myself?

Something In You
Anonymous Mar 2014
There's a something in the way
You make me laugh at your stupid jokes,
The way you **** your eyebrows
When you are confused in math class.
Something in the way you
Play with my hair,
Something in the way you
Write.
Your words could change lives.
There's something in the way
You're extremely modest
About everything you do.
There's a something in the way you
listen and understand.
There's a something in the way you
Can just look at me and brighten my day.
There's a something in the way
Our inside jokes never cease to make me smile.
There's a something in the way
You are spectacular,
You are perfect,
*You are you.

The Act of Acting
Anonymous Mar 2014
Being an actor or actress
Doesn't mean you are on broadway,
Or a star of a hit reality TV show.

Being an actor or actress
Means you step onto the stage
And give it your all.
You accept the spotlight
Not as a blinding piece of equipment,
But as a sun shining on you,
Bringing you to life.
When you hear the term
Break a leg
You form a grin,
Knowing it's not literal.
When the laughter
Of a crowd on opening night
Encourages you and gives you hope.

Being an actor or actress
Isn't about the flowers
Or the repetitive good jobs after a show.
Being an actor or actress
Is about the butterflies you get
Before you go on stage.
It's about the energy you feel
When you and your cast
Do something spectacular
On stage.

Being an actor or actress
Is an outlet from the real world.
It allows you to step onto stage
And forget about the boy
Who broke your heart,
Or the money struggles,
Or the bombs going off
In other countries.
It allows you to step into
A new and exciting universe,
Where nothing else matters except,

Being an actor or actress.
