To look upon myself,
What do I see?
I see a collection,
Of unfinished works,
Unwanted bones,
Exhausted little quirks.
Unanswered questions,
Embedding my skin,
Tiresome eyes,
My body growing thin.
Skin so fair,
It's unfair,
I take out the pins,
Out from my hair.
The glimmer of hope,
Behind my left eye,
Encourages me to cope,
Encourages me to try.
I look upon myself,
I pull myself together,
How I wish I could see,
This won't last forever.
