Expecatations III
will Jun 2019
Nothing I do satisfies you
I'm not funny enough
my looks are to rough
I eat to much stuff

I know you'll say adieu
and leave for a better girl
let's face it she's a pearl
compared to this churl
I'll never meet your expectations

Expectations II
will Jun 2019
I can't seem to meet
all your expectations
all these sensations
and unfamiliar situations

Leave me off the beat
of how and what I should feel
I can't seem to meet your ideal
everything feels surreal
I can't meet your expectations.

Expectations I
will Jun 2019
I know I'm not much
not much of anything
and I tend to cling
to you for everything

I'm kind of out of touch
and we don't always agree
with what I should be
for you to love me
Can't you lower your expectations?

Tea Leaves
will Jun 2019
Little dregs in the bottom
forgotten washed out pieces

Tea leaves have brewed tea
serving their purpose
thus ending their usefulness
What if they were without purposefulness to begin with?

Pale Vision
will Jun 2019
The futures vision is pale
a bleak world of white
from an ignored plight

As we make oceans boil
we ignore the damage
and use it to our advantage

Filling our world with carbon
an element needed in all life
that is now creating strife

Ripping away the color
from our oceans and reefs
not seeing our misguided beliefs

killing off beauty and life
just as humanity kills algae
not seeing a problem we dally

A world without vibrance
starting with bleached beaches
we should be considered leeches
Just a poem I'm submitting for a scholarship for ocean awareness. It's mainly on coral bleaching.

By Myself
will Jun 2019
Sometimes I need to chat
have a sit down
pour some tea
and talk to myself

I need to explain
everything I've done
and thought
through the week

So I understand
who and what
I have become
through my actions

I have to learn
how to love myself
even though everything
may seem bleak
Just posting a bunch of stupid poems about talking through everything is very therapeutic.

Talk to Me
will Jun 2019
You feel the pressure building
and nothing may seem easy
but it's going to be alright

just talk to me

It may seem dark out tonight
but we'll survive the night
hold on tight and it'll be okay

just talk to me

fall asleep and find a dream
a place we can be just fine
come inside and sit down

just to talk to me
Based off the song of the same name by Cavetown. His songs are poetry in themselves and I find both inspiration and relatability in them.

Love of All Kinds
will Jun 2019
Love isn't a concept
strapped down to romanticism
it's like light through a prism

Reflecting itself in different ways
you can love someone platonically
or even inconsistently

Love no matter the form
however you take that to be
will always be love to me
Love is love in any shape or form we believe it is. Love your spouse, your child, your pet, and your best friend. Love isn't just some fairytale meeting. You can find love in anything.

Yourself
will Jun 2019
hurtful words
don't listen to them
they're all so meaningless
there's more to life than smarts
more than people who don't want you
more than being ashamed of yourself
life is more than what they say
you are not meaningless
your life is yours
don't listen
A message to those who were like me

Tortured Artists
will Jun 2019
Did their updates cease
when their minds gave them no peace.

Did the positive become like shadows to the negative haters,
and those who hated became their annihilators.

Their relatability was more than you knew
as your thoughts strangled you theirs also grew

But while you had their expression
their expression left them in a depression

You wondered where they went
Tortured Artists is such a cliche, but it is also often the truth.
A revised version of a previous poem that was messed up and inconsistently done. Shoddy writing on my part then.

Self-Love
will Jun 2019
Learn a little self-;ove
you're the only one
when you feel undone

Learn to hold yourself above
the crashing waves
you're all that remains

Learn to have the most of
what holds you up
be your own back-up
Remember in the end you're the only one there for yourself. Learn to love yourself just how you are. No matter what they say or how you feel it's all temporary.

Tantamount
will Jun 2019
just because we don't speak the same
or looks the same or even think the same
doesn't mean we aren't any less similar

we may not communicate the same
but all the same our languages
and our actions and opinions

can bring about change
I keep writing these stupid weird pieces about relating to people and issues in society. I should probably stop before I get philosophical about stuff. They don't rhyme or have meter, there just stupid free verse. I really need to step up my poetry game.

Forest Dwelling
will Jun 2019
Deep in the forest
among the trees
past the wildflowers
that line the front gate

Sits a small one level
with chimes on the porch
tinkling in the wind
like fae laughter

There sits a woman
face drawn with old age
cradling a cup of tea
with a book on her lap

Alone in the woods
she lives at peace
a cat curled at her feet
as the days pass by
Based off my dreams and the song Ireland by Liza Anne. It would be so nice to just live my simpler dreams once I'm older.

Testing
will Jun 2019
Two tables down
elbow on table
hand cups your face

Your hair a golden crown
your head in some fable
my heart starts to race

When I see your lil' frown
with that small furrow I am unable
to compare to your simple grace
just something I found in old journal, it says I wrote it during SBAC testing. I must have had such a stupid crush on whomever this is about. Weird to look back on these things.

Lieblingsmensch
will Jun 2019
Your my favorite person
you always make me smile
I'm happy to know you

in every way
good or bad
no matter what

Life can be crazy
and we fall out of touch
but a text and we connect

silly jokes
stupid pictures
midnight talks

Sometimes I don't understand
and you know it well
through the days and night

when I'm anxious
when I don't talk
you're there for me

Lieblingsmensch, you're my favorite person.
For my friend, a student of language.
Loosely based off the song by Namika.

The Future Looks...
will May 2019
When we think about the future
we are weighed down
by problems not our own
with a need for solutions
and hopeless debt

Our generation is left with
more loans and less degrees
specialized jobs and old issues
hateful ideas and new love

When we think about the future
we can see a new age
filled with technology
and so many bright dreams
crushed by this flat world

Our generation is left with
heads bowed to a screen
for hateful comments we see
and kids afraid of what
they really want to be

Blame it on the Kids
will May 2019
In this day in age
we blame the generation
that comes after
for the problems
we created for them

We start devastating wars
and pollute the world
and then leave it
for the kids we have
to solve our problems

What gives us the right
to leave problems and blame
on those that come after?
Inspired by the song by Aviva.

How can something so sweet be so poisonous
a little petal full of toxins
a flower that feeds on death

How can so many lovely things be deadly

they can sit pretty on the sill
or create chaos and unhappiness

Tying My Shoes
will May 2019
something as simple as trying your shoes
it doesn't seem to be a big deal
but to me who always would refuse
never saw the appeal

until the girl across the street
saw me as she passed through
and looked at both my feet
she said "Let me show you"

she taught me a lot of things
from tying my shoes and riding a bike
to how to jump of the swings
I didn't know then as a tyke

back when I was still so small
that we would grow apart
I would loose them in a loll
the mother that held my heart
I've had many mothers, all of them never having children. I think the first will always influence me the most. Anyway It's really late, but here is my mothers day poem.

will May 2019

Bloom
will May 2019
Love is like seed
you plant it deep in your heart
it might not seem like much
but sure enough it grows

little buds peeking up
roots spreading through your soul
latching on to a connection
and creating a relationship

As the seedling grows
you have to water it gently
not too much not too little
don't suffocate new love

When the flower blooms
it shows all the care you gave it
and pretty petals brighten the room
blossoming in love is the same

from sweet morning showers
to powerful thunderstorms
rain puts me in a daze

wet and shaking but happy
down in my bones it'll soak

breathing in the petrichor
and watching it gather in puddles
as the sky cries its tears

nothing in this world
could stop my foggy mind
from watching beautiful rain fall
It rained today glittering in the blue tinted light of morning. I was enraptured by it yet again. I just love rain so much. I just want to grab some tea and sit watching it all day.

"It's a beautiful day out"
mum says with a sigh

"outside is danger fraught"
I don't want to stray

Was sitting in history and asked my classmate for a subject to wright a poem on. They said video games so here it is. It's kind of weird, sorry I guess.
