No. 19
She was bored
With so many of the people in her life,
She knew them to the point where
She didn’t want to know them at all.
She had a taste of adventure
Lingering on her lips and wanted more.
But she didn’t now where
To find it.
She spent her time staring
Up at the stars and
Wishing that she might ne whisked away up
Into their indigo home.
She was an Angle
In a white summer’s dress
And she was ready to Fly.

My mother told me about
The evils of humans and how
My heart was the most
Vulnerable part of me.
So I locked it up tight and
Buried it away,
Thinking that I would be safe.
But you are a thief
And found out where I’d
Hidden it.
And now,
I am at Love’s mercy.

Welcome to the land of
Stardust and
Silver moons.
Where it rains gold
And summer is
Never-ending.
Where we can
Laugh and
Kiss and
Dance
Until we fall down laughing.
But, sadly,
This world only exists
In my dreams…

Falling in love is an
Absolutely terrifying thing.
When you love a person,
They expect you to
Let them in.
They want to witness the
Corners of your heart and mind,
Both light and dark.
But I can’t help but be
Afraid
That my shadows will
Scare you away.

I was too shy to tell you
About my feelings,
So I told the ocean instead.
I whispered my secrets
To the salty sea
And the creatures within,
Both big and small.
The sea shells and starfish sighed softly
As I poured out my heart until,
Finally,
I ran out of words.

You were beautiful
With music flowing through
Your veins and slipping out
Of your fingertips.
You charmed the sun and the moon
With your songs and
The universe fell for you.
I did too but I
Have no hope.
Why would you choose a
Daisy in a field of roses?

Summer is my
Favorite thing because
It has sunlight and
Strawberries and
Daisies too.
But the best thing of all
Is that summer
Has you.

Summer nights
Remind me of you and I
Because,
To me,
We are both silver stars
In the indigo sky.
So close and yet,
Millions of miles apart.

Once upon a time,
I met a wonderful boy
Who reminded me of the sea:
Beautiful and Endless.
I spent my summer
Soaking in every last detail
Of his soul
And
Memorizing every corner of his mind.
Now, the summer is
Close to finish
And I have decided that
If he is the sea,
Then I want to be the
Moon and Stars.

Dear Summer Love,
Fate has ****** us
Upon one another at the worst time.
We dream of
F-O-R-E-V-E-R
But we only have
A single
S-U-M-M-E-R.

You looked at me
And smiled as a light
Went up in your eyes.
You told me that I
Was the brightest star
In your sky…
But, little did you know,
That I saw you
As my
Entire Galaxy.

This summer,
Let’s all run away
In our old van and pickup trucks
And drive as far as we can
Until we
Find our sanctuary on Earth.
We can spend our days
Singing and dancing
Underneath the stars;
Living freely
To our heart’s content and
Loving ourselves and each other
Until summer’s end.

No matter what’s happening
Inside your
Mind and Heart right now,
Remember this:
The sun still shines and
The moon still glows.
Stars still sparkle and shoot across the night shy
And birds still sing sweetly.
Flowers grow and
The wind blows and
Life is still moving on,
Changing and shifting.
Scars will fade and
The good will replace the bad as time goes on.
You may be broken now,
But you will
Heal.

Sometimes,
I wonder how anyone is going to
Be able to love me
When I don’t even love myself.
How can anyone look past my
Flaws when I cannot
And see the beauty behind it all?
Can someone stay even if
I am trying to keep them
Away?
Would they even want to?
Who would hold me,
Even when I am
Trying to
Break free from their grasp
And runaway?
Sometimes,
I wonder if anyone would be willing to
Break down my walls
And still
Love me anyway…

You are an
Earthquake,
Powerful and sudden.
No one
Saw you coming,
Certainly not I.
You came
Quickly
And tore me apart,
Into many
Different people.
All hurt and broken,
But one never like
The others.
And now,
We all wander around,
Trying to find out
Who we really are.

Writing is safer,
Somehow,
Because my pen cannot
Stutter like my lips do and
Words will be
Trapped in throats,
Not fingertips.
Talking to you is rather difficult
And probably an art form.
But across these lined pages,
I can say everything I never have:
I love you.

If I was a Princess,
Locked high in a tower, counting that stars in the sky,

Would you be my Brave Knight and rescue me?

If I was a Beautiful Mermaid
And I was captured by pirates, soon to be a prisoner to man forever,

Would you help me plan my escape?

If I was cursed
By the darkest of witches to be a hideous beast for my life,

Would you help me find my cure?

If I was lost and alone,
Surrounded by a shadowed forest and howling creatures,

Would you come and guide me to safety?

If I needed you, where would you be?

I have tried to write about you before.
Poetry and letters and such.
Complete novels, if you will.
But for some reason
Far beyond my knowledge,
I cannot quite
Get
The
Words
Down.
I suppose that jotting out someone’s
Wonderful-ness
In blotched ink and messy letters is a
Rather difficult thing to do.
Perhaps I don’t know enough words
Or maybe, I know too many.
Maybe I don’t know the right ones?
But I promise this:
One day,
I will write the most wonderful
Poem or letter or complete novel
And it will be
Absolutely lovely.
After all,
It is about you…

You are a little bit strange.
Loud with beautiful green eyes
And a wide smile.
You’re almost always
Off in your own little world,
Dreaming of grand adventures and
daring romances.
Little did I know, you are also
A thief.
You stole my heart
With your wide eyes and wild stories;
You hide it Far Away.
And when I asked you,
In a quiet voice,
“Why did you steal my heart?”
Your eyes became bright
And you’re smile wide
And you said
“Because you started it.”
