i have a thirst
only you quench

i need you

like the forest needs the rain

like the beach needs the tides

like the fish needs the water

like the beast needs a drink

i haven't seen you in weeks

and my heart is dry and cracking

my love is arid

it needs you

like i need you

to flow over me

to refresh me

to rain on me

to make your waves on my life

to rest at my shores

i need you
to quench my thirst
woman of the water, channel your oceans for me.

you were the treasure
at the end of the rainbow.
The rainbow dispelling hope after the storm.
The storm that quenched the drought.
the drought that birthed the thirst.
The thirst that craved a companion.
The companion who led the way.
                        The way that never was.

BismillahIr RahmanIr Raheem

The mighty king is always been a slave,

And the Dearly Queen is always be doxy’

In their private chamber!

Nor the Royalty or Nobility matters,

When its comes to their unquenchable thirst!

Allah Khair….. Khairul Rabul Alameen Yah Arrahmanur Yah Raheem

Your thirst
Now quenched,
Fuels the fire
Of my regret,
A post-****** paradox.
A failed katuata - 5-7-7 poem. **** those syllables! :)
Everyday I tell her
Not to remember your dimples.
Everyday I tell her
Not to find those crinkles,
Your eyes created
While the smile wrapped itself,
Intimately around your lips
And the first nail of my coffin was hit!

Your heart is stuck in someone else,
And mine I have left in your closet.
After all the time that has passed
I am still staring,
At the empty mug to hold just a drop,
A drop to satisfy this craving
Or maybe just to forget this thirst.
Thirst, quenched not even by the elixir,
Elixir that saved the life
But could not fill the emptiness in it
Could not give it a meaning to be lived.

All I need is  a bit of you,
But sigh! I can have that never.
Yet I love you
Just the way you love her
Someone said it right-
One sided love holds an alien kind of peace,
Peace in the pleasure offered by pain,
Pain that I, so passionately chase.

A glass of water,
Contemplates on cosmos;
Unawares, thirst spreads.

so dry
am i
i lie
in sand
i wait
for water
that will
never
come by

so dry
i cry
but my
tears
wash
away
into
nothing

so dry
i want
to die
so i
say
good
bye

Limit the lust,
Quench the thirst,
Before it get worst,
Understand you are enough !!
Get out of mad race.. that's what I urge
Aesthete Flower Dec 2018
Some days,
I feel everything at once.
Some days,
I feel nothing at all.

I don’t know what’s worse;
Drowning beneath the waves
Or dying from the thirst.
