WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF HOW WHAT YOU JUST DID AFFECTS THE REST OF US?
no, of course you don't. if you have your daily dose of tequila, then you wouldn't notice if the world shattered (like the pottery you broke that time you got angry at your bandmates). you'd just pop in your headphones and keep on listening to your 'punk rock' music while the rest of us feared for our lives.
SO LET ME TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED AND HOW THE REST OF US ARE AFFECTED BY YOUR IDIOTIC ACTIONS
you left your brothers lying in a ditch (but then again, they always cared more than you anyways, didn't they?). AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN CARE THAT AS YOU DISCARDED THEM YOU ALSO DISCARDED OUR HEARTS AFTER YOU RIPPED OUR SOULS FROM THEIR SOCKETS. YOU DIDN'T EVEN LET US HELP YOUR BROTHERS UP BEFORE YOU PUT THE BLAME ON THEM AND MOVED ON WITH YOUR LIFE. YOU TRIED TO PAY US OFF WITH PROMISES OF BETTER DAYS, BUT I DON'T HAVE TIME OR MONEY TO WASTE ON YOU ANYMORE. YOU LEFT YOUR BROTHERS IN A DITCH AND GOT ANGRY WHEN THEY TURNED OUT OKAY. IF YOU'RE UPSET BECAUSE THEY SEEM LIKE THEY'RE DOING FINE WITHOUT YOU, THEN YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE LEFT THEM TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES IN THE FIRST PLACE. YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE LIED TO US AS WE HUGGED YOU AND TOLD YOU HOW MUCH WE LOVE YOU. YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE LIED AS WE GAVE UP EVERYTHING FOR YOU (BECAUSE WE TRUSTED YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING). YOU DISCARDED US WHEN YOU LEFT YOUR BROTHERS IN A DITCH. STOP THINKING THAT YOU CAN START RIGHT WHERE YOU LEFT OFF BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT. YOU CAN'T COME BACK WITHOUT YOUR BROTHERS AND TELL US YOU'RE GOING TO DO GREAT THINGS BECAUSE ONCE YOU TOLD US FOREVER, AND YOU BROKE FOREVER. REMEMBER WHEN I READ YOU A BOOK ABOUT LOVE? IT WAS YOUR FAVORITE BECAUSE IT TALKED ABOUT INFINITY AND YOU THOUGH THAT IT WOULD BE YOU, BUT THAT WAS A ****** BOOK ANYWAYS, AND YOU ARE A ****** EXCUSE FOR A HERO.
YOU CAN'T JUST COME HERE AND EXPECT US TO TREAT YOU THE SAME WAY AS BEFORE AFTER YOU TORE MY HEART OUT (SUCH A CLICHE I KNOW, BUT YOU TURNED INTO THAT CLICHE YOU NEVER WANTED TO BE.) YOU MAY BE A ****** HERO, BUT YOU STILL SAVED MY LIFE AND THAT'S THE WORST PART.

Goodbye! Goodbye!
and so I bid,
Silent Farewells; as tears I hid,
behind myself; accede to die.

As you lie unconscious,
In all your might you sleep.
I sit beside you two, ruminating deep:
"My life without you; how monotonous."

Then gather the bits that remained intact,
to press my lips against your cheeks.
Without you knowing all of these,
I will forever bury this poignant fact.

Now I leave to do the things,
I need to do as I turn my back...
on you my
dear brothers,
one thing I promise.

i will be back.

This is a poem I wrote as I was on the way back to Manila for school purposes...  Above everything else, I will miss my two boys that I left behind and so I dedicate this poem to them.

It’s cold outside and the leaves have taken refuge in the tall untrimmed grass. Night comes quicker and the sun works part-time these days. Inside, the three brothers fluctuate the heat just enough to stay warm and keep their wallets trimmed at the same time. They were running around finalizing the last parts of The Holiday. The Holiday fell on a Wednesday and they were ready for the best time of the year.

6:29 PM was what the time read on every clock with the exception of the clock in the bathroom which ran ahead 4 minutes to ensure promptness. They would be here in seconds. With last mirror checks they ran to the living room awaiting the knocks on the door.

6:30

PM Only one knock came through from result of the eagerness of the eldest, two young ladies walked through one after the other. Hugs were given all around but kisses only exchanged between 4. It was time to leave but one guest was still missing.

6:42 PM

five are in attendance awaiting the sixth, four of them restless and the other worried. Figuring a reasonable amount of time has passed since call number 2 he then redials the phone contact, “My Love” and puts the phone to his ear. On the other end a cell phone is ringing somewhere with the caller ID “Him <3” but again no answer. Pacing the room now brother 2 of 3 is beginning to lose composure despite the comforting words of his 4 companions. Prepping to call again, his phone rings and is answered before the melody on his phone began. It was her.

Gleaming with relief and joy number 2 answers with a bright and hopeful, “hello” followed by a confused, “Yes I am.” His brothers and their beautifully dressed guests watch hopelessly as they realize it’s not who it is supposed to be. The phone now away from his face the receiver is asking in the room if he was still on the line. Sinking to the earth but caught by the floor he dropped the phone.

6:53 PM

Eleven minutes later they arrived at the scene of the accident ... Glass sparkles from a mixture of the newly fallen snow and the lights from the emergency sirens. Running toward the stretcher where she laid lifeless the downcast officer tried to restrain the inconsolable young man. When he reached her he grabbed her hand repeatedly saying her name and imploring her to come back. it was when he began kissing her bloodied and torn hands that they lost him forever. Kissing her hand in hopes to revive his lost love did he then come upon the diamond engagement ring he given her the day before, only hours prior to the last time he would have heard her say I love you, or anything for that matter.

As the man hit the ground his brothers were there immediately at his side as they watched the ambulance drive off, taking her further and further away from him on the last holiday he would ever remember.

You were just one grade above me in high school.
You graduated last year.
You made big plans for your life and your future...
... But then the fateful day came fast.
The accident could not be stopped
And no one is to be blamed.

I went to your wake today.
I saw your mom, dad, brothers and sisters.
But who I remember most is your beautiful girlfriend.
You loved her to the ends of the earth,
but you left her behind.

I barley knew you, or ever talk to you
but what I do know is that
No mother should ever have to bury her own son,
It broke my heart seeing all the people you left behind.

As I walked past to view your body one last time,
I prayed
"God, I pray [His name goes here,
but I think it is most respectful not to say his name]
is safe in Heaven with you. I pray for his family. I pray that they are safe and will find hope and have faith in this time of greif"

I hugged your mom, dad, sisters, and brothers,
and your girlfriend
and told them how sorry I was..
.. but no words of mine can bring you back.
Nothing I can say or do can bring you back to us.

Life is short.
At the age of 19, you left us.

Nobody knows when their last day on Earth is,
So all I ask of whoever is reading this is,
To live life to the fullest and do not regret anything.

If tomorrow never comes,
Tell your loved ones that you love them
Apologize
Say "Thank you"
Take risks
Love life
Love your family and friends
and
Forgive your enemies
On April 25, 2014 my small town lost a very special person in our lives. His wake was today (April 29, 2014). In my perspective, his wake was described as is above. Closing this story, I made a wish for everybody reading this.. Please, please, please read this and try your best to apply it to your life.

Also, Please share!
It doesn't matter
What you think of me, because
I have two brothers
That think more highly of me
Than you ever will; so there.

Maybe you're the colosseum. The code to get through the glass doors is actually just '1954'. You could put up the painting of me at auction, or I could take a cruise from London to the Islands North of Siberia, a stop in a department store in Northern Greece. I stop and take a ride in the middle front-third seat of a older friend's younger brother's car, and force all of them to come outside and see the spider's eggs at Bob-o-Link. Massive cornucopias of cotton walls entwined with silk.

In the department store I ask to be introduced to someone who can take me by the hand and recognize me by my number, show me everything I'll need to shoot a full-length feature, even how I can get to Prague so I can do a little shopping. But the horror of seeing is so frightening, and the girl that I came with wants to do nothing.

I find a little shop selling Czech candies, music, and newspapers, so I try to buy everything but the horror is getting closer. I'm in a lazy Susan, how often does that happen? One more turn and I'll lose my stomach contents and then I won't need anything.

I take a climb up a street that says "Smrzlinu Ahead," but the houses on the street are all either empty or boarded up. I drift in the soccer field, watching my legs, looking over my shoulder. I fall for a pile of clothes that can hide me but are also very soft to lay in.

Another cruise- tropical, perhaps? Somewhere for coy adults, who shed their skin in Winter when their eyes start molting off. Someday I will place both hands into the ocean, I'll dream huge, and go swimming until I start to laugh. One day I'll sink to the floor of the bourn, maybe the same day I wake up and I'm not swimming alone.
