The castle in the smoke sneaking like a reptile foraging in the city tirelessly the blue-colored flame awaiting the servants the colors of sounds staining all over shadiness the scarecrow with a hat stumbling through the dark the wand of a magician melts away the ancient bed and the love locked in the sarcophagus.

The lizard approached the beautiful tree.. made his play you might say. Started to climb with such glee intentioned to stay all the day. He then went limp down he fell. What had happened no one could tell. He was checked out when he lost his function. Found to have a dreaded problem..     ... called... Reptile Dysfunction. ------------------------------------ The Lizard might have stopped to See Alice before the charge or his friend Viguana. (C) 03-2014. John stevens

The Lizard
I dance like a lizard on hot sand by the light of the sun I've done this before it's like that, one minute waltz times four Reptile be what reptilian is on rock lazily warming in the sun as my slow constitution has began After midday hiding in shadows with darting tongue, I smell my pray by their nest I wait till the last of day Then out they come in the cool of the night a feast frenzy for all yet this ***** lizard is so small By Christos Andreas Kourtis aka NeonSolaris

Lizard
She has freckles like little eyes boring a hole into your soul when she looks at you. She has a face as clear as crystal that when you look at her, you can see your own reflection—mirrorless, empty, and reserved. When you press your lips against hers, a flood of poisonous schemes awaits you, and you'll be lost like Alice in Wonderland. She's an important chess piece that cannot be easily moved; she's a queen, the ace, the king. A pawn may capture a queen, but she is also the king. Her throne reeks of gold and fortune, her mind flows with wisdom, and her body's attached like the goddess Aphrodite. She's the thunder in the rain. Her cries are a woe of revenge and power. Death can not capture a woman like her. She's Eve and she's Lilith. She's a spirit and she can be a snake—crawling with her reptile skin. Her eyes are as fierce shaped as the diamond's emerald and lastly, she's macabre surrealism that when you read her, her true self shows and pushes you to infinite possible dreams you can dream of.  Avary is the bird of thunder. In her cage, she's a young soul duplicated to bring misfortune every time it rains in the spring of Casmorville.

Thunder in the Spring of Casmorville
On her way to work one morning Down the path along side the lake A tender hearted woman saw a poor half frozen snake His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew "Poor thing," she cried, "I'll take you in and I'll take care of you" "Take me in tender woman Take me in, for heaven's sake Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake She wrapped him all cozy in a comforter of silk And laid him by her fireside with some honey and some milk She hurried home from work that night and soon as she arrived She found that pretty snake she'd taken to had bee revived "Take me in, tender woman Take me in, for heaven's sake Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake She clutched him to her ***** "You're so beautiful," she cried "But if I hadn't brought you in by now you might have died" She stroked his pretty skin again and kissed and held him tight Instead of saying thanks, the snake gave her a vicious bite "Take me in, tender woman Take me in, for heaven's sake Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake "I saved you," cried the woman "And you've bitten me, but why? You know your bite is poisonous and now I'm going to die" "Oh shut up, silly woman," said the reptile with a grin "You knew **** well I was a snake before you took me in "Take me in, tender woman Take me in, for heaven's sake Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake

The Snake by Oscar Brown Jr.
(For Thomas Davis) A reptile carved, a breath of language, one That one imagines to be real, like A lizard given life, pretend for fun, Perhaps, a supervening thought, so like A kite, but not airborne at all: We hold Its substance in our hands and come to think That this is all there is. We even hold It in our thoughts, still nameless, and we think That its vital beauty make it a part Of God. Soft, small, patina-rich, handmade From stone or bone, rhinoceros horn: its art Is in its existence, perfection paid For by its half-life in our hearts and hands. So reptilian, what poetry demands. © Jim Kleinhenz

My mind keeps pictures of you up on its walls                             again                                   and again I find my thoughts drifting down that river of memory orbiting around you, like forces of gravity drawn to the idea of us (if there even is an us) If I could then I’d lock you outside my brain, leave you out there to rot in the abyss, where your words couldn't penetrate me and your lips that work like anesthesia forbidden to numb me again I won't do you the injustice of romanticizing your imperfections You're no nebular, you're a black hole, a gaping flaw in creation Your eyes that held millenniums of history, now hold me no future You made me forget what it feels to have stability To not walk out of a room and forget why I left You make me want to shred the skin you touched Like a reptile, to become reborn, purified from my past. There never were any butterflies in your stomach, only parasites but you fed them to me readily like a disease So no, I won’t dedicate you another love poem                  no I want (deserve) better This isn't what love should be I’ll write you a poem where the words convulse on the page and you’ll forget to read it (you always do)

I Don't Want This To Be Another Love Poem
I cannot spare water or wine, Tobacco-leaf, or poppy, or rose; From the earth-poles to the Line, All between that works or grows, Every thing is kin of mine. Give me agates for my meat, Give me cantharids to eat, From air and ocean bring me foods, From all zones and altitudes. From all natures, sharp and slimy, Salt and basalt, wild and tame, Tree, and lichen, ape, sea-lion, Bird and reptile be my game. Ivy for my fillet band, Blinding dogwood in my hand, Hemlock for my sherbet cull me, And the prussic juice to lull me, Swing me in the upas boughs, Vampire-fanned, when I carouse. Too long shut in strait and few, Thinly dieted on dew, I will use the world, and sift it, To a thousand humors shift it, As you spin a cherry. O doleful ghosts, and goblins merry, O all you virtues, methods, mights; Means, appliances, delights; Reputed wrongs, and braggart rights; Smug routine, and things allowed; Minorities, things under cloud! Hither! take me, use me, fill me, Vein and artery, though ye **** me; God! I will not be an owl, But sun me in the Capitol.

I'm a Cowboy, a villain in black I drink whiskey as if it was going out of fashion and yell ye ha, as I ride wild creatures the coarseness of my words is the amour of my cold tipped heart My pain is reptilian and waiting for I have eyes so very steady and firm and no matter how you hide one slow as me will by numbers have the will and tongue to find you I may crawl on my belly on most days and evenings I may be a lost soul on a barren twig yet my name is rebellion and I don't give a fig I ride storms that are too much for most I push myself to the limit and when things go wrong my claws do dig deep and I never relinquish my prey By Christos Andreas Kourtis aka NeonSolaris © 2011 NeonSolaris (All rights reserved)

Turtles are amazing reptile species both resilient and wonderfully slow they endure all kinds of changes & survive in many kinds of weather Retracting their heads right inside when they sense danger is normal sort of like us when we feel threatened we run to our safety hiding zone Our hearts are attached to our bodies like the shell is attached to the turtle, the shells of most turtles are composed of layers of keratin resembling the protein on our finger nails. Take life slow and enjoy it, When you move quickly more is accomplished, more is diminished Slow-moving reptiles with cold-blooded metabolisms live longer lives we too can slow down life by looking at things & people differently Watch the way the light is cast on a flower, realize the value of looking Choose your footsteps with intent take them to your heart and breathe Even if turtles lay lots of eggs , we give birth one babe at a time so spend time with your children, let them know they're loved everyday Sign up for meditation, or just walk like a turtle in your favorite spot turtles are smart creatures that know life is short so please don't abbreviate it, LIVE IT WITH PURPOSE, NICE AND SLOW ...

Turtles And Humans Alike
The film starts with narration from Mother Nature herself, discussing an experiment with Father Time that went horribly wrong; On the fictional island of Wongo she has created a tribe where the men are brutish & ugly & the women exceedingly beautiful. She then creates another tribe on a nearby island called Goona where the women are repulsive & the men are strong and handsome; For years the two tribes lived unaware of each other's existence, until ape men from across the ocean attack the village of Goona. The tribe sends the son of their king to seek help against the invaders. The son finds the island of Wongo the day before the village men are to pick their brides & the women, seeing the handsome prince, begin questioning their life among the ugly brutes that dwell in their village. The men growing jealous of their visitor, plan to **** him. The women of Wongo, finding out about the plot, risk their lives to protect the handsome prince, in doing so offending the crocodile god of the Wongo people [portrayed by stock footage of a crocodile and rubber model]. The women are rounded up by the village men & sent into the wilderness until the reptile god has drawn blood for the slight; The women banding together, watch each other's backs until the ape men arrive at their village & the women dispatch the invaders to their god, the women then leave in search of the men that had abandoned the island of Wongo. In Goona, the men begin their rite of manhood, in which they go into the jungle without weapons for a month. The women of Wongo coming upon the weaponless men, decide to take advantage of their helplessness & one by one, claim them in marriage; The film concludes with all the beautiful men and women married & the ugly men with the ugly women.

Teenage reptile
Post-truth. Post-satire. Monsters celebrated as saviours. Wide-open, screaming ****** committed during every ad break. A dynamic new plan to power the national grid using snake oil. Hosts of remote-controlled, cybernetic angels raining down weapons-grade holy fire. Eternal peace declared between Eurasia and Eastasia. The trenches full up with poetic corpses. *** doll mouths breaking bad news to the bereaved. The orgiastic scarification of our own democracies. Blood sacrifices to the Black Friday Gods. The enactment of nursery rhyme into law. The Disneyfication of the human heart. Love only as legislated. Hate as currency and everyone a broker. Strange, reptile creatures ballroom dancing through the sludge-filled annals of imminent history. Endless war between Eastasia and Eurasia. A thousand candles lit in memory to all the moths that burnt to death.

November Epistle
-on a mummy whisperer encouraging an ancient,    dedicated servant to worship his mistress once again Come, rise, out of your bandages. Do not fear her reptile grin, those dead, cold, killing eyes, that lacerating tongue. Watch that glimmer of hope: the naivety of her simple feet, those loose phalanges calling for bonds. Come, kneel, kiss them tender! Those harmless toes, that innocence, clumsy and unspoiled. Now love, hope and fear can make you find yourself in bandages, again. Look upward, eyes shut... Loose yourself in cosmic lights: her toe tips brightly guide you through the night.

Constellation
A sharp tongue with shark teeth and a malicious smile with venomous saliva. The reptiles eyes are like an alien planet. It's soul lost within the depths of it's pupil. It's like seeing tectonic plates shift as they leave a black scar across a sandy red desert. A reptile's eyes. Dragon scales cover my skin. For this world is filled with shattered hearts, it is like stepping in broken glass, I should protect myself from all your scars! I've grown coldblooded from these cold emotions. Icy stares and frozen thoughts. Because your souls are trapped in arctic ice, drifting in the same tides every day of your cryogenic lives! Witness the fiery eye that is the Sun. It shines dimly behind radio active clouds. Particles of chemical ash act like a mirror spitting back solar rays in the face of God! The arrogance that is man! Earth radiates golden shadows and the reptile is denied of heat. I am forced to store my dragon's breath inside the belly of my beast.

Dragon's Wisdom
The Queen of Absentia rises from royal stool to watch the moon set sheathed in broiling cloud as she skips whirling adders that hiss in fat jagged coils, their hollow blades jutting death in sprinkler sprays of misting veils and her head is hypethral; a Gaudi shipping container soldered in reptile curves, licked by arrowheads of falcate flame as she rounds its laughing corners; an adderaled lab rat, eyes black funnels drinking electrodes pulsing crimson and the stars are crackling in the pan as she     sees planets torn shrieking down Hell’s hungry plughole as fallen Gods divide by zero and the clock’s skittering claws scratch prophecies of consequence of poorly sewn seams, but she smiles like a risen crocodile and says,      ‘you’re just jealous cos the              voices only talk to me.’ And again she dives as unwanted advice gibbers up out snapping drains, and power points shoot sharp blue spears lighting substrates of ancient horror, inchoate but fattening before her eyes as she sits, wrapped in ghosts, guarding her ochre tea in its chalice of steaming bone, trying to sell herself a ticket to tomorrow’s sunrise, staring at thunderheads bunching up satin over sodden ninjas sprouting cardboard hair, slicing down legions of roaring pearl as death hunts hollow-eyed below. Her Majesty holds court, amid the percussion of steel and plate, a matador to shadows that clasp their hands and dance around, as clouds hammer rain to the ground.

it was a dry mojave afternoon, with crows cursing shrilly the streetlamps bearing broken bulbs and the striped cat sleeping in the sun. the wind drew frantic breaths, exhaling dead leaves over the hill and sending the blackbirds spiraling into the sky. a lizard stirred, somniferous almond eyes gazing lethargically over his rock and at the old man on the porch leaning back- impossibly uncomfortable in his rickety wooden chair. his name was Jackson. gnarled gray hair mixed with gnarled gray beard appropriately framing a pinched, ornery visage and tattered clothes adorned his whisper of a body. it was his sixty-fourth year here in the desert- on the fifty-second he'd lost his wife on the fifty-eighth he'd gained a kitten named him Waldrop and let him **** the mice and lizards. 'sixty four years is a long time,' a thought murmured in the back of his head eyelids peeling back to give a cursory glance to Waldrop who was stalking the reptile watching him. he remembered his twentieth birthday when Edna had first said she loved him and he remembered that glorious July morning where she said she was his forever. he remembered the pain of labor down in the factory, and the camaderie with his fellows chewing tobacco and cursing the bosses. he remembered the time spent weeping, but remembered more the time spent laughing in places miles and miles away that now seemed imaginary. exhaustion echoed through tired bones and he wondered who would feed the cat, drooping eyes closing one last time to await the warmth of sunset.

Such a snake you are, poisonous words dripping like venom from fangs under bitten lips, striking at the ever-so slightest nudge of your tail, retreating and hissing for help from those you belittle; Do I really seem like such a foolish little mouse, slave and prey to your every whim, every change of mind? I'd like to think not; For your cussing and fussing, screaming and shouting, while throwing a little hissy fit, is not proper etiquette, even for a reptile such as yourself. Such a tiny wriggling thing must be put in its natural place, relocated to where it cannot bite the children to where it can go find others like itself, away from the big scary predators that might hurt it; Humans, cars, bikes, cats, dogs, oh the possibilities are endless, but you wound up in my path, unlucky you, a demonic and unforgiving rage personified; If you are a snake, I am a dragon, if you are a fish, I'm a bloodthirsty shark, darling don't you see how this works? I've dealt with you long enough, you pest, you ungrateful little thing, my mercy is off, our truce is through, now God only knows what'll happen to you, did you think me to be a kind human being? Well, I guess you're mistaken, so take a number, sweetie, I'll call for you when I'm done sending others to the graveyard, for if you think I'd even hold you at the top of my list, you're sadly mistaken, yet again; You should probably stop trying to predict me, stop blaming me for each little thing, for a predator can't be blamed for taking out pests, nor animal control for relocating vicious creatures; You silly little snake, do you think yourself to be a viper, when really you're just a common garter?

A drop of deep green struggling on the tar  black of asphalt, scorched by the cruel summer sun; allowing just enough time to make me realize the kinship with a hapless reptile, sure to meet it's maker, in the absense of  an alacritous  intervention. Stopping my speeding car, I  allow that chameleon to cross the road; all green, coiled tail, its swaying gait became confident, **the hurried escape was a ' thank you' note, written  in another form.** 0O0

By chance,I realize my kinship with a chameleon
"Don't you ache from all you carry? It could be light, easy." A little kiss on the spine. A fractured sigh in the blue dark. "Its become my whole body. Where on earth could I set it down?" Thunder rolls up her silk stockings. Rain lets down the fringe of her hair. Somewhere, a reptile is unwinding, its old skin left in the long grass. "Love, let it loose. Give it to me."
