As you fanned me and fed me grapes, you let the sweat drip down your lobe. On a night as wet as this, slip off your robe, expose. my fingertips scaled your knuckles, fumbling the thing you held out to me, burning so brightly. All before you stopped to talk to someone more important than me. You moved so candidly. You sat down at the bench In a dress all black and backless. I've seen it in a dream. With the moonlight flowing down the river, your neck, and spilling onto the banks, your shoulder blades, your hand crept across the keys like the most beautiful spider I had ever seen.

Keeping Up With the Corinthians
Step one, the first steps... So Joyful was I of every single stride, Impossible for me to hold back my teary eyed fatherly pride... Not much more through the years could I have said with genuine adulation, At times though a fathers words unspoken, will express volumes about his deepest hearts jubilation... A balance of tenderness tempered with sympathy, things that have to take first place. Discipline... must come in a way that will heal without any harmful trace. To be a father is sincerely like nothing else, To actually understand what our heavenly father feels and makes his heart melt... Fatherhood, Fatherhood to me please be kind, I beg you make the memories of my child's heart always desire to rewind... J.I.F. 1 Corinthians 13:8a 8 Love never fails.

Mad Angry and disturbed Perturbed by your absurd words Their rhythm ring sing songs on & on Wrongly depicting me as the beast who depletes we Condemned and prosecuted for convoluted convictions Incarcerated despite fair trial meanwhile Defendant roams free, though guilty So I suffer when her rough mood cannot bebuffered And somehow the blame is on me, what a shame it would be If I had a fair trial, and you were beguiled by my vengeance But Corinthians bestowed on me that love hold no grudge So I won't budge, This time.

Guilty yet guilt-free
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it  will pass away. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is
Often I wonder which is harder 'Singleness or Marriage' How do we do it? The struggles of being with someone and remain purified sexually The focus we must attain in this manner The mindset of suppressing lust and passion Remaining without touch till the set time Our partners how they seemingly accept the challenge but later deviate; With talks like ‘am only human’. How we look innocent but crave deep down for a tiny piece The chain of celibacy a slavery we were made to follow Or else anguish and chastising Am broken and torn The lessons I learnt I hold dearly Corinthians stated worries Oh my fate! When whilst thou end, this status I cross around my neck Wait! but don’t look waiting The side talks and jest, the respect long lost Yours will be the latest I know Happen already! Wait on God permanent anthems now Smile and wave don’t show it Or you are jealous. Be happy and suppress Be hopeful and pray For how long! Be patient, kind, God’s time is the best Oh when! It’s been 3 decades and counting No judging authority I only want to be loved Now I live for myself alone no deviation from love and service I will do not just right but the right way With God before me.

Love is tacky. Love is cheap. Love is scrolling through an endless amount of ****** online dating profiles on a Saturday night. Love is not subtle. Love is two people bargaining, lying to each other, lying to themselves. Love keeps track of every misstep so as to hold it against their partner in an ongoing war of attrition so that they get to pick what to watch on Net-Flix. Love does not rejoice in itself, but does so on Facebook, so that you can rub it in the face of your ex, and all those friends that just really want to watch you fail. Love is cheap. *** with a price tag marked to sell. Love is dead.

I regard what calls itself "Christianity" today, as so much RELIGIOUS **** Why? The Apostle Paul wrote this in his second letter to the Corinthians 2nd Cor 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. KJV Some earmarks of "another Jesus" · He was borne on Christmas · His "Triumphal Entry" was on Palm Sunday · His Crucifixion was on Good Friday · His Resurrection was on Easter · He turned water into grape juice · He inspired the NIV (or anything other than the KJV) · He prays the Lord's Prayer "...thy will be done on earth..." · His "gospel" is John 3:16 · If he didn't have brothers and sisters · If he loves EVERYBODY · If his mother makes apparitions · If he builds his church upon Peter (Matt 16:18) · If you have to say the "Sinner's Prayer" to be saved (John 6:44) · If some "Reverend Doctor" preaches about him · If a ThD "Theologian" explains him · If his ministers call themselves "Reverend" of "Father" · His followers refer to the 3rd Person of the Godhead as "Holy Spirit" Go tell your Lovey-Dovey jESUS: he can take his salvation and shove it up his ass...AND TELL HIM THAT I SAID SO! If your opinion of ANY of the above is: "It doesn't matter", then YOU, your church your pastor, your denomination, your jESUS, your gOD - are so much RELIGIOUS SHIT...ask Nadab and Abihu how much it matters! (that is of course, if your stupid *** even knows who they are) Also, if you still think it doesn't matter, because one day you're going to fly away to meet your lovey-dovey lord in the lovey-dovey clouds...your dumb *** will wonder why you are still here when the FIRST SEAL BREAKS There are 7 years soon to commence, it's called the Great Tribulation. All you lovey-dovey ***** Chunk "christians" will have an opportunity to PROVE that you REALLY ARE what you claim to be. ++++ Do you think you will survive? The coming Seven Years It's called the Tribulation, a time of and pain and tears - Chances are not good, that you'll live to see it through You'll probably be killed, your not the chosen few - You will greet the Antichrist, and you'll take his Mark This guarantees you'll burn in Hell, the warnings were so stark - For 1000 years you'll burn, before you stand before the Throne The Great White Throne of God, you He will disown - Then you'll be cast alive, into The Lake of Fire With all RELIGIOUS **** and every other liar

Treasure...in earthen vessels
Let me entirely clear, As clear as crystal, As clear as the sky On a summer's day. It has come to my attention That I was a fraud, Just as you were. I have recently realized, It was never you I loved. It was your potential. Who you could become. Who I thought you were. And now going over it all in my head, I realized I fell for sweet nothings, And soft tones, And ginger touches, And brash conversations About politics Where you were just agreeing To appease me. And I am still a firm believer That you can love someone Because of their flaws, Not despite them, Because that is true love in itself. But I did not love your flaws. I feared them. All of them. And in hindsight I regret Confessing my soulmate philosophy. And explaining the red strings of fate, And telling you of my synesthesia and demisexuality. Because my being demisexual made you feel special. You aren't, by the way. And you used, Almost constantly, My synesthesia against me. Even when I told you "It is not an ability, Nor a power. I cannot read minds." I also told you "It is not a party trick." And you pressured me into using it for the latter Due to your selfish desire To use my as a ploy and a conversation piece, Among other things. I never loved you. No, I loved who I thought you were. Because you are not good, Nor kind, Nor gentle, And no where near loyal. You are selfish And cruel. Judgmental glances And cruel tones, Harsh words, And selfish intentions Made up our relationship. Your mother wrote Upon her wall What love is. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 It was literally written on the wall. And we weren't any of that for each other. If they had heard your words, And if I had seen my own actions, All would have known from the start That we were toxic. So keep fooling the world, I'm going to be A better me. And upon these feelings for a Bluebird Born under Mercury, And the light of the star Spica, I have come to see The fear I have For falling for anyone. But maybe it's a risk I'll be willing to take, The closer I get, The more sure I feel.

I am more than a conqueror through Him who loves me(Romans 8:37). I am an overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony(Revelation 12:11). I am a peacemaker of His divine nature(2 Peter 1:3,4). I am an ambassador for Christ(2 Corinthians 5:20). I am part of a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased person(1 Peter 2:9). I am the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ(2 Corinthians 5:12). I am his elect, full of memory, kindness, humility, and long suffering(Romans 8:33; Colossions 3:12). I am forgiven of all my sins and washed in the Blood (Ephesians 1:7). I am redeemed from the course of sin, sickness, and poverty(Detronomy 28:15-68; Galations 3:13). I am called of God to be the voice of His praise (Pslam 66:8; Timothy 1:9). I am healed by the stripes of Jesus(Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24). I am raised up with Christ and seated in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:6; Colossions 2:12). I am greatly loved by God (Romans 1:7; Ephesians 2:4; Colossions 3:12; 1 Thessalonians 1:4). I am strengthened with all might according to His glorious power (Colossians 1:11).

I believe in love. Love has the power to heal and create. There’s hopeless love, family love, friend love, and love for everyone, especially those with four furry feet. My family has taught me the beginning of how to love. Even deeper, my grandparent’s have shown me complete unconditional and raw love. From sickness and health, to rich and poor, they’ve been glued together for 38 years now. The pets I’ve owned taught me love isn’t just restricted to humans. Often, animals stick around longer to comfort and love than friends do. However, friends and lovers teach a whole new level of love. I’ve realized that love can be just temporary. Being the hopeless romantic I am, I search for love everywhere and find love in every dusty corner. I’ve seen that sometimes you’re only meant to love someone for a limited amount of time until you feel the need to move on to someone else and fill their life with the power of it. Friends, family, lovers, pets, they all come and go, but love is forever. I believe in love because I’ve been hurt. I’m happy to lose by caring more for someone as long as it means i get the chance to show them what it’s like to be loved by fire. I’m not afraid to feel. Love isn’t just one feeling to me, it comes in many different feelings. It’s in all feelings. Without hate there’d be no love and vice versa. Love creates beauty, love creates hate, love creates people, love lets the world go around. When we learn to love, we learn how to make things better. Three years ago my Uncle was killed unexpectedly in an accident and that loss of love in my family has completely changed the way we loved since. We learned how to love each other stronger, how to love ourselves more, and most importantly how to love life. Our family bond is unbreakable now. The devastating loss and going through the grief and learning more about love has made me more of myself than anything in the world ever could. Love comes to us in many different ways. Love is action, love is emotion, love is expressed. Love is free and binds us all. Without love, we wouldn’t be people. It’s what defines us. You can’t have anything without it. Not a career, not passion, nothing, because nothing would matter without love. There is absolutely nothing you can’t love. Flowers, food, kids, sleeping, puzzles, it’s okay to love it all and all is deservant of love. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” Corinthians 13:4-8

I don't want no mediocre love, give me more of a 1 corinthians 13. I need to know you'll draw nearer when heavy or small storms come, not lose your sh*t, get scared of the thunder and leave. See, love is a learning thing and we'll need water for it to grow, we can't just plant our seed, walk away and expect it to grow on its own. We've gotta clear the pathways, rewire and connect inside our domes, because without communication we'll both feel as if we're all alone. But if forever can be seen within the roots, then no storm will ever be hard to get through. I said it's all about forever, it's all about the roots. If they're deep enough then there's no storm that will be too rough, and love will not be moved. So give me that 1 corinthians 13 and we'll till the ground and build from a strong foundation. Any other type just won't feel right, and will only be wasting our time.

No mediocre love
Salvation means different things to many people Reared by a single mother Abandoned by a deadbeat absentee dad I am confused and angry Now am I supposed to feel them I have no mentors Or anyone in my life That cares enough to teach me How to be a woman My life didn't come equipped With an automatic pilot For a successful life What I had growing up was Religion Not beliefs but principles 1Kings 2Kings James Ecclesiastics From Genesis to Revelation To the 1 and 2 Chronicles Corinthians, Peter, John From sunrise service To afternoon fellowship To young to realize That mother's salvation Isn't mine Sitting in church 8 hours each Sunday Praising the Lord At the top of my lungs To the top of my voice Being baptized at the age of 5 Well before I even understood why Didn't make me a saint No amount of bible study Ushering or participation in church Could save me Or the congregation From sin and all evil The chasing of the wind Repentance What was the point in asking Seeking and praying For forgiveness Yet not changing ones ways Or taking on bad habits That were sinful There was no point Everything is meaningless

Everything is meaningless
Space and the bright galaxy has always been my escape. I’m not my own creator, And the untamed monster I make, To be believable and harsh. So kind hearted and fine art, Renewable human cycle, my role model use to be Michael, The way he moved, Swift and light, is the exact same way I would move In the bright space and galaxy; Light and smooth Marijuana and Corinthians; My problems I soothe. Last night I hugged and kissed the moon. It smoked my marijuana and nodded Its head with my groove. You’ll think I’m delusional with a few loose screws, But I feel perfectly normal, For this on spare times is all I Do. #Lord Knows -Marci Henderson

God’s heavenly desires and ways are much higher than our own. Spiritual maturity is required to reach towards His holy throne. Hidden within the Scriptures is a common, universal theme – Application of Biblical principles is needed to achieve our earthly dreams. Under guidance of the Spirit, prophets captured God’s intended plan; laid out to see was Yahweh’s vision – for the true success of Man. The written Word of God can be our scriptural soap; regular cleansing of the mind reveals the promise of our hope. This collection of ‘love letters’ is connected by a ‘scarlet thread’; Christ’s fulfillment of the Law was sealed by the redemptive blood that He shed. Author Notes: Loosely based on: Isaiah 55:8-9; Isaiah 11:2; Proverbs 3:1-26; Romans 12:12; Ephesians 4:22-23; 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 Learn more about me and my poetry at: http://www.squidoo.com/book-isbn-1419650513/ By Joseph J. Poem: Enabling Success
"And he created out of one man every nation of men, to dwell upon the entire surface of the earth, and he decreed the appointed times and set limits of the dwelling of man." (Acts 17: 26) (New World Translation Study Edition) When I look in the mirror, a doughty warrior, an oracle, an Olympian gazes back at me. The caramel-tinge of my skin tells of the colored pedigree from whence I came. Every ebony-tendril that bursts from my epidermis is as impregnable as the Sacred Lotus. The history of my Mind's Sky has been tried by the Ancient African Sun of my ancestors. It is my hope, that I have passed the trials decreed by the ordinances of the Moon & Sun. Moreover, the Arbiter of Fates, Jah, dawns upon our fleshly vessel at each twilight, assaying our entities. (Isaiah 60: 19, 20) (New World Translation Study Edition) So many intrepid souls have compassed me about. The Chalice of my Heart burgeons with esprit d' amour. The meaning of life is ne' er about intellect, is ne' er about achievement, is in part, about creativity; wholly, about Love. (John 13: 34, 35) (New World Translation Study Edition) For this reason, strength cascades upon me every moment as I witness the brilliance, the resilience of my beneficent matriarch, Stacy Amanda Foulke. In life, I have learned that being a person of color in America is not only a wonderful privilege, but a responsibility. Why? The afflictions brought upon this skin only make it glisten brighter after convalescence. Our people have suffered inordinately so, but this is conducive to cultivating surpassing empathy. Therefore, I believe that history, as begotten through the colored legacy, shall be one of ultimate victory. If and only if, we unfetter ourselves from the onerous burdens of the past, then Monarchical Wings shall burgeon from our Astral Chrysalis. "For though the tribulation is momentary and light, it works out for us a glory that is of more and more surpassing weight and is everlasting." (1st Corinthians 4: 17) (New World Translation Study Edition) Se' lah.

1 If ever I wrote a thousand gospels of Hope, but meanwhile did not love,         I am the empty words of politicians and sycophants. 2 And if ever I knew the world in fine and time and with all shared my mind,         but so burn in hate that I bar any Faith, my words are cinders. 3  And if ever I laid down my life for a friend or died so that you all might live.         If I do not have the Love that did it, the deed meant nothing. 4 Because Love feels far, feels deep, and feels forever.         Love is kind; and it does not whine, chime, or shine. 5  Love is grace. Love sets free.         Love is gentle. Love let’s be. 6  Love is a repletion, the completion of joy despite of,         because of the shared, dark Truths of our twilit souls. 7 "For Love beareth all things, hopeth all things,         endureth all things. 8 Love never faileth:" But when these prophetic words pass,         Love shall live where life and strife wither. 9 For fiery stars we will never see whose light has not come,         And any act, however fierce, is only the orbits of atoms. 10 But when Love came in our lives, all the littlest in         the drowning dark embraced as (w)hol(l)y One. 11 When I was small, I thought and felt and feared small;         but my heart has grown and now can no longer. 12 Anything meant nothing until Love came and         bade us recognize the I in You and You in Me. 13 And where all else fails, there is three: Hope, Faith, and Love.         And greatest of these - Binding Hinge of Life - is Love.

A reading from the First Letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians According to St. Philip

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
