"egocentric" poems
My leg hurts
The jaws of this inhumane trap engulf my lower shin
I have the tool to disarm it and free myself
But I muttle in my adolescent egocentric pain
Caught within monotonous routine and self interest I rot like my peers
I've sunk to a level of self loathing, that I enjoy pulling myself down
I
Am
Disgusting.
I
Need
Help.
I cry for things I can give myself but alas I withhold it to feel sorry for myself
Me and my fellow youth
Equally as useful, equally as useless
Although I am free of the crowd I am still blinded by my adolescence
Purpose
Interest
Intellect
Great-fullness
Peacefulness
Generosity
Love
PURPOSE
all I've know is I am here to be a vessel for knowledge and indoctrination
I am here to have an opinion I voice, but does not matter.
I do not matter.
This function is welded to me
However...
The voice of destiny reasons with me again and I hear:
Seek what's within
Garrot it.
Place yourself into the walls of meaning and the murals upon't
Serve others in selflessness. Share with others in selflessness. Learn from others in selflessness. Teach others in selflessness.
Your a pawn in the samsara. Do your duty within its game.
Gain higher consciousness so you can share the path to it. Become a giver, not a taker.
Interest
Intellect
Great-fullness
Peacefulness
Generosity
Love
Six lessons left, define yourself within them. Or perish within your self indulgent pitiful hole.

The Mind-Slaves
***Obedience is not a ******* substitute for Critical Thinking.***
Why do we treat Obedience with more reverence than we do Critical Thinking?
(CONTROL)
***Obedience is not a ******* acceptable substitute for Critical Thinking.***
Obedience is not inherently bad, but unquestioning Obedience is tantamount to Fascism.
To Terrorism. To Americanism. To Consumerism. To Militarism. To Racism. To Sexism.
Obedience can never, ever stand in place of Critical Thinking.
If you want to get immersed
in a true story:
live your own life.
That is, of course,
unless you've allowed it to be set up
in such a way
that it is no longer
a true story.

When brothers go to war there are no captives/
When brothers go to war we find only casualties/
The in explicable war between Palestine and Israel,/
In this poem i hope that peace would prevail/
Countries at the crossroads of heaven and hell/
Their war has lasted for ages/
Pain and revenge bitterness and hate/
When brothers go to war who dares to mediate/
Who knows of their fate who knows whose right/
Its bee like this for so many years/
Who will be there to wipe their tears/
Who will be there to give hope to those in fear/
Who will dare to go and interfere/
When brothers go to war know that the end is near/
Hold on and sanctify your soul in prayer/
When brothers go to war who is the villain who is the saint/
The war of Israel and Palestine stained in red paint/
A revelation to the faint hearted/
A lesson to the boastful and egocentric/
Innocent lives lost when brothers go to war/
A gentle answer turns away wrath/
But a harsh word stirs up anger/
A hot tempered man stirs up dissension/
But a patient man calms a quarrel/
When brothers go to war who dares mediate

I feel so out-of-touch and small talk seems out of reach.
Are my thoughts worth airing? Maybe its better to not speak.
See, lately I've been thinking. More so than usual.
And its come to my attention that my attention is unusual.
I can't believe it took me this long to realize
just how egocentric I can be.
A fourth of my life is gone and its always been about me.
I know and acknowledge that you're a person too
but something has changed and I feel like I can't talk to you.
Where once it was effortless, now conversing is difficult.
Instead of truly listening I'm preparing my rebuttals.
It isn't that I don't care.
It isn't that I'm disinterested.
But it feels like my volume knobs got ****** up and I can barely listen.
Why is my head louder than reality?
It's exhausting to focus on anyone but me.
Truly a self-serving, self-centered friend I am.
Sorry.

It's not cute,
I don't find it funny.
The lack of concern for education,
And your glasses aren't cute either.
I'm growing quite tired of the lame leaders.
Expectation to teach the future generation.
The warriors, in a future of unknowing,
By the ignorant, traditionalist.
And I could sit here all day,
Catching glints of light off your hip glasses.
Peppered with egocentric, infantile remarks.
So cute
The lack of education
So cute
The lack of nutrition
So cute
The false profits; the obtuse teachers
So cute
Your hip glasses.

The world is a place of unreliability. There is no promise. There are no things to be assured. We can spew words and make them happen; but we can never be certain they will occur until executed. There are people that value themselves more than they value others; although there are people that have the capability to value others over themselves.
We all walk around like we know everything. Like we know God. Like we know death. Like we know love…but we don't know anything. Our feeble minds aren't willing to tell us that. They let us think narcissistic, egocentric and arrogant thoughts; while dismissing the ignorance of it all. All of us aspire highly. Dreaming for success. Hoping one day we can get there.
Then what?
Everyone will forget.
Everyone will be gone, along with the memory of you.

The body goes through changes.
The mind grows.
Eventually goes.
There is time spent knowing...
knowing about one's existence,
what love is,
what it isn't.
Feeling
With feet firmly planted on the ground,
it becomes frightful to think of being beneath it.
Food for the Earth, we are.
We populate our planet,
and we have come far.
We've documented man's evolution.
The evolution.
The enlightenment.
The ecosystem.
However, we forget about the gift we are given.
Spinning on an axis.
We're egocentric.
We put ego over eco.
We're contained.
Entomology, of sorts.
Maybe Darwin was right.

She
stops at the isle of gold lane and haze
holding her head up whine and gaze
that haughty look wander in space
She
Frowns
unhappily
on a bench across the street
intense perplexity
under her clouds
in a dark city
She
pouring arrogance
egocentric maiden
fear her own imperfection
He
"She's in manufacturing business"
"What does she manufacture?"
Unhappiness

My eyes see nothing but tears
Tears of a million suffering souls
Souls that are swimming in the pool of poverty
Poverty created by a few egocentric individuals
My ears hear nothing but the tone of grievances
Grievances blossoming from excessive suffering
Suffering because of the alarming levels of idleness
Idleness because the lot is controlled by a few
My nose smells nothing but pungent poverty
A poverty that has become a national disaster
A disaster which has become a national emblem
An emblem that the world identifies us with
My mouth has become a floodgate of lamentations
Lamentations that blossoms from excessive pain
Pain which has become an inseparable part of everyone
Everyone has lost hope of seeing a brighter day

She is
A cackling old
Bird
Who undermines me
Regularly.
She wears a very
Pretty white dress,
And a big egocentric
‘S’
necklace
that reflects perfectly
in the globe of my tears
like a diamond snake.
“I’m going to ruin your life!”
She laughs.
“I’m going to make your father
hate you!
I’m going to make you cry
All the time,
When you see a lonely
Person
Or a shivering dog
Or when someone gets a
Really easy question wrong on
The Chase.”
**** off, S!
I’m trying to be tough
******* it!
Can’t you see what I’m
Trying to do with
my black converse
And my leather jacket?
(Ten pm,
Leather jacket shed,
Blank Word Document open
Teetering on the tip of a poem.
I look around the room.
S leans against a wall.
“Well well well.
Look who’s come crawling back.”

Confide in me
the irony
of laughter as a crutch to keep
with self descriptive Bildungsroman
in view of Schadenfreude's Ad hominem
Mask the image, compensate, compensate
Power struggle, shift division, relegate, relegate
Egocentric discharges inhabited by identity crisis
Circumstantial Deus ex machina, plastered on by streams of vices
No wreck, no head on, but a path beset by tolls and diversions
Somehow I must find a way to make these scattered routes converge
Dead and othered language roams the fields of pomposity
More ironic self aggrandizement, an appropriation of ferocity
Paint them a picture in the mind's eye of your blurred forward vision
I want to see the target marked, but attention is a competition
I'm Viable, I'm Jovial, I have the means to take these chances
I'm lying now, it's one or the other, let's hope I make the right advances

I lost myself a century ago, you enchanted me with your egocentric smile and your eyes that glimmer, only to leave me hanging like your favorite movie you gave away because you already knew every line from tip to toe, you replaced me and I was too broken and blurred to even hesitate so I just walked away but kept looking back because anyone whose ever loved you or has the slightest idea of how truly fascinating you are is aware of how absolutely twisted it would be to let go of you.
My biggest desire is for me to be half as incredible as you know you are and maybe then you would think twice before letting me go into my own tomb.
You signed my death sentence when you uttered the words that burned my throat smashed my bones and left me wishing I was somewhere in Mars.
And not even there, in that deserted planet that inhales awkward girl's dreams and exhales them because they are far too ridiculous for the real world while dying from the lack of oxygen and the intense heat that came in through the lips you once kissed and made a tour through my broken self only to permanently stay in my shattered lonely heart, not even then had I preferred to be conscious when you chose her over me, rejecting me forever.

She is his
You can see it just from a glance
It can't be chance
that he sits so rigid
Their PDA almost frigid
in it's clockwork execution
we kiss now, here, then, when we should
Their public nature behind a hood
of do's and don'ts,
should, could so would,
but never must
never need.
I don't feel she's ever breathed
just for you, she
feels too insular.
Too
Egocentric
His posture is pride,
A look; a challenge
A touch: assurance
This one is mine
Look, don't touch
Envy me
But find your own
In his arms his serpent glows
and coils around his throat
dote
Their words are whispers of
solidarity
A secret society
who's key they ate,
their touches tempt fate.
You're going to hurt him
But for now she coils, and
boils his blood
and throws his rudder out of
control.
And he sits, a deadbolted frame,
clinging to a paper Mona Lisa
which could flap away
or, at any moment,
bore and
stray
But for now,
they're proud and
loud with public love.

A gaze.
A silver line between
love
and terror.
A silver line of contentment,
of complacency,
of humdrum mediocrity.
A gaze,
too afraid to gaze
lest we acquaint ourselves
with gold
or bronze.
Too egocentric,
too self defeating.
A silver line of contentment,
of complacency,
of humdrum mediocrity.
A silver safety belt,
clip the lines,
halt the grinds,
lest we acquaint ourselves
with loving gold,
or terrifying bronze.
Lest we stray
from the silver line,
the safety belt,
of contentment,
of complacency,
of humdrum mediocrity.
Lest we stray,
forever shall we stay.
A silver gaze,
humdrum days.
Neither here, nor there,
forever
and perpetually,
'ere'.
A gaze.

"I got them old bones man"
There shakin’
And there rattlin’
These demons
I’m battlin’
Time
Is unraveled in
Sin, desperation, disbelief
Misconduct and mischief
Stretching
Feels like a prison camp
For old men
Where all those old men do
Is stretch
My body is a concern as my mind
wanders,
And ponders,
And potentially acts, on
large acts of
greatness
and I bear witness
to future bewilderment
that has already past
but lingers,
and fingers,
the ******* blame
on my ***
I wanna live a life of positive affirmations
That’s what I feel is happenin’ you know what im’ sayin
And I keep playin
Games I love and things that I believe
Goals not yet not accomplished
And new one’s I wanna achieve
And a New year brings new things
Don’t break your dreams
Don’t undervalue and don’t leave
Places you don’t want to be
Don’t be a double negative
Take advantages of openings and opportunities
Don’t be a hypocrite and you will completely agree
All those good things
Your gonna do more of in a new year
No matter how niave, egocentric or misadvised…
… in someone else’s eyes
Have no fear
share your gifts
and create your gifts
don’t buy them,
and if you buy them
don’t buy them at walmart
or in malls or in big cities
Everything I ever wish to write
Is an anthem to change the world
And the revolution starts
As soon as I change
As soon as I arrange my priorities
**** the majority
Start a brother/sister sorority,
And I will put down this beer,
Quit a job that doesn’t matter
And put my energy
Into passions and emergencies
And change the world
By meditating
Saying some kind words about myself
With my eyes closed
While deeply breathing
And exploring galaxies with ease
The entire universe…
… I think I Am going back to university

The sage spoke with calmness facing the peaceful sea. Son I keep Wondering where the next war would be, who else would R.I.P before we embrace wisdom. Everyday, tears plague my eyes but fail to fall. Where would it fall? No soil to bury deep this pain for even the earth is full, Like a pregnant woman begging for rest.
I have seen so many dreams fall apart and dreamed so many falls on parts built of spikes and fear. These days I await the awaking for what has become has become. Our thoughts for the future looks bleak and sad. This freedom we so speak of, this norm, this equality in time, far from near.
For as long as this village boils every second while we sleep in silence and our care to our pocket of comfort like a drought in sight, there would be fire burning our egocentric self. Look at the ones we spat on, look at the cemeteries. Wisdom no longer thrive our fantasy. We dream of selfish division more than closeness in this cold world. We call it black, we call it white, but we forget these colors stream and will always stream from the same source of life. The plight of humans is not money, but wisdom and the strength and courage to act in love.

Conscious how below self awareness motives can be.
Subconscious no matter the state.
The density remains linear; all drawn in pen
to attend to these feuding desciples
of being “super” and the instinctive relliance on idioms,
of actions portrayed further than words,
finding balance on this epicenter
of egocentric dreams coined all along the same metaphor.
Sides- to what ever shape of form of the matter ,
linear at point we all eventually
dive/urge finding another
point above or below
convergence in light
to change focus in volume/mass
equaling (1)ndividuality / decreasing the density of situations

Inside your head
Behind your jaded smile?
Hollowed out
Of personal belief
Do you really give a ****
Egocentric
Sadistic narcissist
How far can and will you go?
Every last thing
That I love and believe
Why must you tear it down?

We live on huge planet
Constantly circulating the sun
Along with all the other planets.
Who knows what madness is going on out there.
But we’re too familiar with the madness going on on Earth.
People going through Hell.
People being born everyday.
People dying everyday.
People having their best experiences.
People going through Hell.
Different realities.
Strange undiscovered tribes living in forests; Our reality is alien to them, theirs is surreal to us.
There’s still a lot more to be discovered in oceans, and in outer space, and on land, and in ourselves.
We’re ignorant, we destroy the earth.
We’re ignorant, we hurt each other.
We’re ignorant, we hurt other creatures.
We forget that we live on a huge planet circulating the sun, it doesn’t belong to us alone - it is to be shared with all the other seemingly insignificant organisms.
Nature going through hell too:
Poisoned polluted air.
Acid rain. Angry winds.
Thirsty plants.
Contaminated rivers.
Now they’re going against us, it’s time for revenge.
Hurricanes won’t have mercy on us.
Animals going through hell too:
Suffocating fish.
Elephants are viciously murdered just for their tusks.
Premature pigs lined up in slaughter houses.
Mass production.
Mass production.
We eat the tortured animals, now they’re against us.
Obesity, illnesses, over crowded hospitals.
There’s so much we don’t understand. But we throw around lots of opinions, little facts.
And the facts we have haven’t been been proven to be one hundred percent accurate.
So we go against each other.
We waste time debating.
We waste time pointing fingers.
Maybe no one knows, maybe we’ll never know.
We live in an insane planet that’s circulating around the sun along with all the other planets. Sometimes we forget that we are part of something extraordinary and mysterious - It’s mind blowing, why aren’t we humbled?
We continue to be egocentric; this huge planet will never stop circulating around the sun for any of us.
Be humble!

Metaphorical stringency
Idiotic transgression
Coat this democratic autocracy
Flailing capitalism slowly drowns
Splashing freedom in the face;
Obeying party goers
Stand as if a wall,
Indeed they are
A rich, extravagant barricade
Of outcasts
As pariahs under cloak
Stab the new age constitution;
Egocentric totalitarianism will sway
At the sight of a metaphysical blade
And the ghastly crown
Will topple to the bottom
The country has shed her lizard skin
Regurgitating for her new flock
Feeding a new set
Of avaricious minds

So long and overdue,
The time starting askew,
Everything reversing to previous,
Views of simply devious,
Creatures of the night,
Time is now plight,
Prepare the cold grounds,
Enemies scorn those around,
It is those weak,
Who will soon peak,
Top of the charts,
Of deaths new art,
Headless gutless warriors attest,
Really trying their best,
To survive and ****
It takes much skill,
To stomach the pain,
Not letting your brain,
See what is on,
You are a pawn,
A game called chess,
Your turn to address,
The move to take,
Decipher who is fake,
And who is real,
Background their a deal,
Waiting to be made,
By Bankers being overpaid,
While people being honest,
Will all soon protest,
If not soon enough,
It will be tough,
To stop an army,
Of ignorance will be,
Those who are controlled,
Many do as told,
What now lies ahead,
Civil obedience mindless dead,
Wandering the empty streets,
Looking for minor threats,
Yelling terrorist every corner,
More for the coroner,
Those who lived free,
In debt free society,
People traded not sold,
Their time being told,
To live meaningless life,
Throats pressed by knifes,
Told to live right,
According to someone bright,
As pile high ****
Being full of it,
This right that wrong,
What happened came along,
In form of kids,
Passed to more kids,
Information of all lies,
Except select few hide,
Snickering as we die,
Keeping everyone under control,
Knowing what is foretold,
Is mostly not know,
Minds are closely sewn,
Together with simple lies,
Mostly ignored but disguised,
As nothing but truth,
Just another common sleuth,
Slipping between the cracks,
Not aware to react,
Used to being told,
Not to stand bold,
Against what is done,
We are of one,
United States of Dumb,
Easily manipulated fat popularity,
Contest of egocentric masculinity,
Where everyone has problems,
None actual solves them,
Differences made to keep,
Everyone nice and neat,
Happy competitive argumentative discouraged,
Four bowls of porridge,
Hot cold just right,
Fourth not in sight,
In another hidden room,
Your name on tomb

Furnished from the beginning with superlative demeanor,
You sway no haughty elbows,
And ****** all colours of mockery,
Refrain from staring down the bridge of your nose,
As well as the egocentric adults
That bear the sharpness of a minotaur horn.

Is crafted from knife fissures and bullet nests,
The nightmare of cathedrals;
Though existence must be slain
In order to fashion birth, yet
existence is never slain for applause

Mirror mirror on the wall,
Who's the sanest of them all?
They say I'm mad and egocentric,
But you and I know I'm just wonderfully eccentric.
You've reflected my soul for many a year,
We've seen me shed many a tear
For they all have it in for me
As my beauty lives in infamy.
I know I'm stunning and uncrazy,
But, some days do get a little hazy;
If I forget to take my mild prescription
Then my beauty really does defy description!
