I S A A C Jun 2023
braided by burdens
hidden from the wandering sun
my cage was bronze, my voice frozen
only could stretch once i was
unbolted, unjolted, of all these poisons
soaking into my psyche at every moment
altering the shade of joy, door left open
reruns from the demons, another opponent
the drink so potent, my ego stolen
a wordy poet silenced to biological atonement

A gaze.
A silver line between
love
and terror.
A silver line of contentment,
of complacency,
of humdrum mediocrity.

A gaze,
too afraid to gaze
lest we acquaint ourselves
with gold
or bronze.
Too egocentric,
too self defeating.
A silver line of contentment,
of complacency,
of humdrum mediocrity.

A silver safety belt,
clip the lines,
halt the grinds,
lest we acquaint ourselves
with loving gold,
or terrifying bronze.
Lest we stray
from the silver line,
the safety belt,
of contentment,
of complacency,
of humdrum mediocrity.

Lest we stray,
forever shall we stay.
A silver gaze,
humdrum days.
Neither here, nor there,
forever
and perpetually,
'ere'.
A gaze.

trickling down cheeks
the beads of sweat gather on chins
jaw lines glisten
chalk on asphalt
contenders equidistant, soon to be unison
two of them
racing
each reach for the first to get
to the line
a place for few of them
bronze rusts, and silver runs
but nothing like us
off that starting gun
all at a chance
to watch the refs
wave the flags
and decide a winner
go for gold
outside the champion's circle
are shoulders cold
if you don't give it all
you're no pro
you're an amateur
a beginner, 1st in show
The sign of Moses is the sign of The Christ,
This to heal the world of its darkness,
The sign of Moses is the sign of The Christ,
This to heal the world of its darkness,
The sign of Moses is the sign of The Christ,
This to heal the world of its darkness,
But the inner Gnosis Light does lead to Christ Consciousness,
But the inner Gnosis Light does lead to Christ Consciousness,
But the inner Gnosis Light does lead to Christ Consciousness,
So turn your inner darkness into the light of Christ,
So turn your inner darkness into the light of Christ,
So turn your inner darkness into the light of Christ,
The sign of Moses is the sign of The Christ,
This to heal the world of its darkness,
The sign of Moses is the sign of The Christ,
This to heal the world of its darkness,
The sign of Moses is the sign of The Christ,
But the inner Gnosis Light does lead to Christ Consciousness,
But the inner Gnosis Light does lead to Christ Consciousness,
But the inner Gnosis Light does lead to Christ Consciousness,
So turn your night into day,
So turn your night into day,
So turn your night into day,
The sign of Moses is the sign of The Christ,
This to heal the world of its darkness,
The sign of Moses is the sign of The Christ,
This to heal the world of its darkness,
The sign of Moses is the sign of The Christ.

A heart of gold
Silver is sold

What diamonds behold
another ("populas")poem where each lines describes a person and then the last one kinda sums it up

Hand motions in the pattern of a cross
and a baptism from a few yards away.
Early morning in a suggestive state and he was
honest about what he saw, and how he feels.

Traps laid in the ether
long - long ago.
the bread crumbs are the blades of
serrated knife edges if the red shroud is
allowed to veil our vision.

But it is not
for the garment is worn loose.
And before the children of God
discovered blue dye,
the sky was a searing violet.

Eyes to the east and the keys of
death and Hades hung from his tongue
as his face burned with the fire of 10,000 suns.
His flare for the drama is an American quality
and his feet were forged of bronze.

ah
do you remember when i was made of gold? these days i much more resemble tarnished silver, buried bronze...
i dont fill these shoes anymore, i barely remember how they felt to walk in
these old words dont stick to me anymore
praise lives in the past, and i wonder
what am i worth now?

Gold shines just as brilliantly as silver or bronze
achievements for the greatest of them all
standing on podiums, they show-off their medals.
Well gold, silver, and bronze shine
just as much as tin or iron
even the cheapest of plastics can be made to reflect light.
Will your champion know what is really gold
or will they be distracted by how it glitters?
No, not all winners are fools.
But the best of them all can determine
the metal of their medals.

There's no real structure to these poems, but that's okay. I like them just fine.

i fell in love with you because you were gold,
dazzling, brilliant, a comfort few can afford.
and i also fell in love with a silver heart,
a few less stars in their shine, but soul glimmering with humility.
i settled for second because i believed i was bronze;
the last place in a race, the dull brown of pennies
but where you saw me as tarnished brass,
i was their fool’s gold.
and you grew ever so dim that day
when they proved their weight
in so much more than you.

I wear a medal
received in the Olympics of life.
Gold for family
who has run the mile with me.
Silver for my perseverance through
challengers of self-worth.
And Bronze for my gifts
of writing that has expanded over the years.

Yes I wear my medals proudly
as winner in life
moving in the breath of gratitude.
