Your lovely eyes(widened by a surgeon's knife) in happiness shine,
those pouting lips sure contain some fillers,to make them lusciously full,
and the make up that creates an aura,I can't fail to notice , is subtle,
yet, I hope the beauty invisible is pristine still in your tranquil soul.
All these efforts make you look nice; yes I like it and appreciate it.
But I am so  amazed how your inner beauty holds me in thrall
that too with such effortless ease!

the parting kiss
K Balachandran Jan 2012
her pocket book of woes,
was left behind, for now, in her room
i presume,
near water she was a nymph
yearning to swim.
the moment rushing wave
kissed the sands
she fell over me, tumbling.
we rolled in the foamy
waves, rollicking .
we were heart beat close,
-for few more hours-
i was painfully aware,
strands of hair displaced,  added allure to her face,
grains of gleaming mineral sand
on her lips, invited,
greedy for the salty sweet
of her partly open pouty lips,
i lunged, she met me half way
we kissed in a feverish pitch
still not forgetting
that her cup of woes awaits,
expecting us to part

left without a word;

a beginning(and the end)
K Balachandran Nov 2011
like the pink sun rising
the beginning was very kind,
and pleased every one's mind.
a fine start, ensuring
that things are half done
(yet the other half is worrying)
            the irony is this,
the moment it was begun,
the beginning itself has become
insignificant.
the lone thought
took possession then
of everyone
was the concern about ending
or rather,
the worry, how it would all  end.
the short lived euphoria of beginning
gave way to the angst
regarding the end.
the sun  then, goes in to an eclipse.

the end was
just the opposite, rightly so,
of the beginning.
it was  imminent too.
no beginning could stand
without the inevitable end.
-it could be extended, may be,
just a little.

the end was very rude
only fair, counting the kind beginning;
it could only be that
--and the cycle continues....

Psychedelic flight!
K Balachandran Nov 2015
The ethereal transactions of two pairs of eyes,
has happened at the speed of lightening.
A decision was struck in a moment, at a secret space
for communion,  far beyond the conscious mind,
with the precision of a chemical reaction orchestrated,
where past, present and the unknown, miraculously converged.

A deal is done effortlessly; the desired finish of a chain reaction.
Nucleic acid double helix strummed tunes, for the composition,
the commerce two bodies have transacted for nature, has echoes
beyond the scope of mathematical equations to explain the event,
it zooms to the beyond, in to the secret accounts of cosmos eternal,
where the matter assumes the blissful form of "pure consciousness".
"Whatever you do would echo in eternity"
Imagine what love is capable of doing

THE SWIMMER
K Balachandran Oct 2011
Water is an eager woman,
in wanton abandon,
when I swim, lunging
deep, deep, deep in to her
like in an ancient, pleasant anger,
she rolled around with me,
then sitting astride, atop
perfectly in control
her fingers deftly play
in ways I can't imagine.

Like the one in my teens
one of slender fingers
-and curiosity that kept eyes wide,
like sun flowers -  that made her explore.

She wouldn't yield
when I desperately
tried to stop her when
wriggling with pain
of intense pleasure, though
that's what one wanted.

The excruciating pleasure
the elder woman first introduced,
the red petals of secret flowers of passion,
in a wood across the river we bathed
absorbed  in each other's body
when we went to collect
the hanging nests of birds
they abandoned.

She taught me to swim
in her lovely stream
that was in spate
when we together
began to walk waterward.

A long forgotten art,  needed to reinvent it from the days past,
making a clay ***, the size of my heart, where everything started,
with my bare hands; I felt like a man in the primeval times.
The act but brought a sense of satisfaction, it seemed like a ritual
with therapeutic effects, but couldn't delineate what it was.
Was the red clay *** in my hand, a yearning, in symbolic form?

Was I trying to capture the elusive meaning of  life, in a way wrong?
life throws questions after questions at one, not wanting any answers!
And then one stumbles upon symbols, morphed in the depth of emotions,
with these forms, answering to the enigmas of life is done with ease.

A vessel perfect, it seemed to collect one's tears, wasting not even a drop
on the pool of tears, reflects my face, than any of the surfaces  before,
why then, her face too floats along with mine,  out of nowhere?
a nowhere called past, which never goes anywhere, even if charms are tried.

The Dance with the elements
K Balachandran Jun 2017
1.
The wind swooping down from the mountains,
swirled around, made the central courtyard,
open to the sky, that brought the nature in all seasons
in to our lives, comes alive with it's signature tune.
Pouring profuse rain, splashing golden wash
of sun shine, smoky mist; around the changing ebb
and flow of seasons we built that house
under  tall ancient trees.the memories of which
we kept, within the strands of double helix
for many generations to come.
2.
The earth, fertile, red, waiting to be  ploughed
and sowed, called to us aloud," A toiler's life
is the best, never would one of you'd  regret,
sow the grains, plant the fruit trees, you are blessed"
We did as the earth wished , wasn't it what we did best?
3.
Wind swept dry leaves, heaped in a far corner
fire, with gentle anger turned, all in to grey ash and dust
we swept  it across the plouged land, ready for new cycle.
Jumping in to the ravine,we swam,it made our beings fresh
then we watered the plants, trees and crops of every kind,
water quenched our thirst, it's cool waves made us calm.
4.
In the night's play, marred with animal calls and owl songs
vast green spaces dominated my extended dreams.
We rode the horses of waves at high seas, the space within
mind was most to be explored,we set about conquering that.

I float in a dream,
Full of rain’s amorous sighs;
In fecund earth’s hugs!
K Balachandran Apr 2016
Not dreaming anything tonight,

tired of perambulations I decide.

Just want to sleep in your bed

forgetting every thing except

the starlit sky and cosmic clouds,

from where I and you did descend,

on the wings of a mystery, that still continues.

Your bed is soft,  the best healing spot

I have ever known, in this troubled planet,

I roll on to the soft heat from your body permeates,

and yet again become aware that you are the best thing

that  happened in this wanderer's journeys through moors.

Remember the first time I heard your name whispered,

resounded  within my bone marrow

and wondered about the magic it carries with it.

We walked a million miles in a second,

and crossed a life time in a day sometimes,

we are calibrated in perfect synchronization,

we understand with a smile, with  our souls it  resonates.

The sunset whispers the secret: go in to the light, eternal.
at the culmination of the dream, eternity beacons.

Further down the river
is a quiet island,
my hideout in days of yore
when love as a narcotic
seeped in to my blood streams
coursing wildly to the beat
of my thumping heart.
Tides from the estuary
never touch its shores
waters are wave-less there,
nature is at her fecund best.

We rowed and rowed
but found nothing there,
turbulently lashing waves
told us a story different
from the one  for long
in my mind encapsulated.
I stood for a moment, accepting defeat
and felt  the maelstrom of time
swirling around, emphasizing on
the irrevocability of  the things past.

From where does this pain come?

Once close to my heart,
the island in my mind's stream,
though I left behind and
swam forward not to look back,
is still there, though not here in space.

Game changer
K Balachandran Jun 2017
Ardently you sought me, your perfect partner
in the planned, ****** crime extraordinaire,
all I needed to say,was "yes I am game"
Nothing more than our bodies commanded,
yet, I did that because it is you, who'd be in
the other side of the bed, that pleases me a lot.

You were an unknown and rare perfume
that I long sought, but failed to lay my hands on,
every amorous eye, falling on you, would attempt
fornication, vicarious, but all were in vein, of course
then, your eyes fell on mine, though you'd have loved
it to happen the other way round for more perfection.

Both of us are, those ones who walk that extra mile
in any kind of ****** adventure, without inhibition
if the idea originally occurred without instigation.
for us "Kamasutra"in it's real potential,is yet to be invented.
You always had thought that you were the game changer,
but now realize, things aren't  the way you expected!

How could you imagine, I still am uninitiated
in this genre, passion play we put our body and mind
a flaw you should have avoided, in  the  first place.
Now,make up for the lost time.Do the thing in earnest,
why don't you ascertain the facts before begining?
One presumes that things  move the way one plans
with out considering the significant other playing!
playground of cupid remains a field of pleasant surprises.

from banana flowers fresh,

in busy bee childhood days
at my tropical green paradise.

gently seducing the wanton wind,
the surge of love makes you
drenched in dew all over
the fragrance will soon floor me
if I don't lean over your trunk
and gently sway with the wind

Your supple tongue displays
an intimacy,that goes far
it explores the interior secrets
of my mouth's sensuous softness
blessed creature, you've a
special gift to make me melt
my heart instantly skips beat
amorous i become, get stiff and my face
receives the dark flow of your tumbled hair
that smells jasmine and feminine fragrance,

long fingers entwine with mine,
tell hurriedly on wants and heart's design
my slow fingers trace the contours
of your shapely hips, lips respond,
that makes you tell me the story
the moon told mist, making it melt and mingle
with the moon beams till the night lasts.

The insane man with uncommon zen,
I encounter now and then near the city center
poses a nonsensical question each quite different,
every time he and i come face to face by chance,
then shares a smile with a conspiratorial wink.
"Every one in this planet, even those ones
who are at war with themselves or others
inanely clamors'light, light, give us light'
they sincerely believe it or not, do you think
there is enough light, for all, assuming they all deserve it?"
I see the night getting  near and the electric lights started
opening their greedy eyes in quick succession,
I see a drop of it reflected in the well of his eyes,
He expects a "YES" or "NO"from me at once!
as if it's crucial to the survival of planet earth"

I look around and see light valiantly fights the army of darkness,
now tell me my friend, who now reads this, what would you advice?
I am waiting, I am all ears; darkness and light too listens.
I know you as a nice one,a good soul, balanced; come on tell me..,

When I say something,

when I walk, talk or listen,
the shadow of the other
falls too close.

The other is present

stealthily  like a sand clock,
the other drains drop by drop
eventually becomes larger.
