Twisted Poet
I used to think blue eyes were pretty,
his were not.
his were not cornflower, sapphire, baby, indigo, azure,
or cloudy sky blue.
His were midnight where the light pollution from the city blocks the stars.
Iceberg, squall, hypothermia, eventual death

How do I tell him
That heโ€™s the best thing thatโ€™s ever happened to me
And that I love him
Cause I really do love him
And have never met anyone like him ever before
When he wonโ€™t even talk to me

In the end
Light wins over dark
Love over hate
Goodness over evil
Freedom over oppression
Truth over lies
Integrity over corruption
Right over wrong
Kindness over cruelty
Healing over pain
Love is powerful energy
It can change the world
In an instant
Light up the world
With one small act
It can make a difference

It is beautiful;
was the sky always this blue
and lucid with creme lent away by
the heaven's tears?

It is beautiful;
Were the oceans always this vast
and dark with the mystique of the millennia
chipped away at stone, like a forsaken
mason?

It is beautiful;
Were the peaks and valleys always this detailed
wrinkled with strokes of cosmic paint, ridged like
a sheet of linen?

It is beautiful;
was the sky always as blue as the oceans?
Were the mountains always higher than the waves?
Was the snow always mingling with the clouds?

It is beautiful;
and, what a wonderful world
for us to borrow
for a just moment.

no revenge
only a copy of the poems i wrote of my side of our story
and a bag of the food iโ€™d bought for you
and your hoodie that i was wearing when i ended it
and a lingering sense of loss
because you never asked to read anything i wrote /the hoodie she wore first /and the last, i hope?

The air's too dry,
my lips chapped,
but no ordinary balm will do.

Why don't you wear it first,
let it melt into your warmth,
then let me steal it back,

until the taste of your lips
becomes my only addiction.

Iโ€™m bored now.
I donโ€™t want the calm before the storm
I want the storm,
right now.

break me,
burn me,
do whatever,
Iโ€™m ready.
I crave the storm that makes me feel alive again

I just grimaced

I still remember his hands on me
Touching me everywhere
Everywhere he shouldn't
I still live under the same roof as him
Acting like it never happened
Acting like a loving family
But still I feel his hands on me
I told my mom
She knew everything
Yet nothing ever happened
Yet I sleep crying cuz I feel his hands on me

I want to write
A little poetry book
Fitting in my pocket
To carry with me
With five little poems
One for each finger of your hand
Your hand that led me here
My muse
My blues
My cues
My heart tattoos
My infuse
So I will call it YOUs
I'm gonna do it. Watch me.

A clock in the mirror through a window
Walking my usual route
Seeing the same car parked
Headlights staring me down
The same old song on repeat

Been so long
Have seen the moon
Turn red and white
All this time has been heaven

Looking over my shoulder
Has only made things more eventful
Sitting on the wall where couples kissed
Making me miss you
And jealous too
Makes me feel like paradise

well, i know that traction means tension
sanction; full of obligation
mild litigation from my conducts of actions
so pick up the pace
or just let me phase
and just erase
ah! you little feeble
your dependency makes me dependent as well

here we are back again
in front of the medicine cabinet
with a brain full of yearning
and a heart full of sadness
my brain chemically ill making itself yearn for death
my heart full of sadness just wanting it all to stop
the only thing my mind and heart can agree on is that the sadness needs to end
this must be the only way right?
every other way I've tried never work long term
so if not this then what's the answer

Hidden truth buried deep inside
Feelings weren't enough
Bottled emotion like cigarette smoke
Fuming until you cough

Hiding inside a masquerade
Hoping to fit the mold
Until one day your bow breaks
And your crinkled truth unfolds

Fake happy till the smile fades
Until the once blue sky turns gray
And you wish one day it'll be over
The world will know you're gay

His words, like honey, stick to me,
Soft and sweet,
He melts my heart into a puddle at his feet.
Each phrase he speaks, a tender, warm glow is formed,
This glow ignites my soul into a gentle swarm.

With just a taste
With meaningful haste
Surely this love can't be erased
But time has past
The moment has passed
This love was never meant to last
With each day
Through each night
They can be seen looking in the past
For just that moment before the last

still not.

Baby blue skin.
I see you in my dreams.
I reach for you when you cry.
Baby blue skin.
Your last breath.
Stolen by fate, not by time.
Your hands so small.
Baby blue skin.
So cold, so very cold.
Sharp and rigid, now a faint echo in my chest.
Baby blue, nothing but a memory now.
This poem is written about the day I found my sister. She was a baby when she passed, as a little kid I would always ask why her skin looked so blue the last time I saw her.

Warm & comfortable
Feathers & cotton
I AM cooler then the other other side
Where ever I lay, it provides
A soft place my tears
It's absorbed them for years
Wrapped around my head
It protects my ears
Silly play fights
During the day & Dreams at night
I Love my pillow it's the best
For alleviating stress.
This poem was inspired by a recovering addict at the Tarzana Treatment Center.

Every wail of wind
Is a mournful dirge
Carrying off through the distance
Where tenebrous finger like branches sway,
And the moist air feels like a tearful eye.

The pale light wonโ€™t shine,
She hides her face in a cacophony of smoke and mirrors,
A majesty so shy she turns her back
As the wolves cry for her in loving sonnets.

Deeper is the black that darks the skies,
As veins of electric light quickly strobe the clouds,
Thereโ€™s a crack of a cackling giant,
And the tears fall from angels,
As a strident breeze breathes across the landscape
As the trees mosh in syncopated patternsโ€”
I calmly wait in the midst of storms.
Who doesnโ€™t love a thunderstorm, even if itโ€™s internally?

The blues affair

I met her where the light was weakening
an enduring twilight had settled on what
was re-lived in the memory of summer
moving out of the convention, tired leaves
in the soft breeze on its final breath.
We spoke of the past but not of the now
the present didnโ€™t matter.
I saw her as a disappearing holograph
dying in the mist of life lived
past emotions could not awaken
she had gone to a place I could not follow
as her face was erased.
