The day after
When the tears have all come out
The nearest sting
Lingers on with the pain
of mourning
Our minds race
as we allow time
to heal the disclosure
of how you left
Letting you go on
That was your own
request
Nothing can change
what you did
the day before

And you say you have your life together , But you were poor.
Whatever it is you've been through , I have been through it before.

The dream doesn't make the person , the person makes the dream,
Whatever it is you've been through , I've already seen.

I've crashed through so many doors,
Shame was coming from my poors,
Doing all these Payless chores,
I've been through it before,

I've been through it before,
I've been through it before,
I've been through it before,
But it's whatever.

Flowing through another human being's emotions like essential oils,
You could  possibly choose the fate that they set, or
Live like society's pet,
Or you could become the vet,
Or you could run up a check,
Getting the hell out of Dodge,
Facing problems always to an extent to be labeled savage in a world
Don't Even give you the care you asked for, but,
What dose it take to get respect?
See all we do is recollect,
Most of us are too blind to see in this dark country where the enemy
Is camouflaged.

As eyes turn skyward      and the lone wolf howls,
paw prints in the snow     pause amongst the pines.

State of mind: calm; rested.
Perspective: natural; philosophical.

Thoughts: from thinking - about rest and recovery. The soul sings best when it is well rested.

Unseen and deep within the dormant volcano, there is lava flowing.

Questions: none.

we built homes in eachother's hearts
hanging our favorite pictures
building forts
playing our favorite games
these homes keep us safe
whenever we are hurt
we run back to our homes
talk about our days
comfort eachother
in our little homes
before eachother, we didn't have homes
always running, always scared
always angry, always tired
once we met
we started to build
we started to open up
we started to feel safe and comforted
I now know what it is like to have a home
as do you
and I know we will never leave
our little homes

I want a hug
that stops wars
something like never before

A hug that
helps everyone sleep
doesn't even have to be quietly

A hug that
makes everyone smile
if even for a short while

A hug that
makes sure everyone is feed
and well kept

A hug that loves all
from shortest to tall

A hug that just makes everyone equal
to treat each other like people

I want that hug
and you give me a shrug

Mornings are unparalleled
When you didn't expect
To wake up
From the night before.

It's amazing what you find when you're looking
It's astounding what you see when you're not
And what you see when you're looking at me
Is nothing you've never seen before.

she sat there
with the disk whirring
in her laptop's DVD player.
the movie wouldn't play
because of some internal flaw
and she stared blankly
at the computer screen.
her bowl full
of potato salad
on the desk next to her frozen body.
her chest rising and falling
unsteadily
her eyes glassy
zoned out
to another place.

the pills she's supposed to take
to keep herself healthy
sit on the desk next to her bowl
of unfinished potato salad.

Save me
Before I fall
You enlightened my world
Don't be away now
I can heal myself
But only when you're here

Stay
My dear
If you go, I must too
The rage against death
Will invade for eternity
Why isn't it ever be peace
To conquer the world?
