mother's day
GaryFairy May 2016
all the things that a mother does
a loving touch, a hand that heals
I wouldn't know what that is like
I wouldn't know how that feels

she is just another stranger
though, the vessel of my birth
she never did what a mother does
though, she put me on this earth

I felt a bond when I was young
but that bond faded away
these words only burn my tongue
"happy mother's day"
GaryFairy May 2016
So many are filled with hostility
hostile world, we're living in
in a place of constant volatility
volatile minds, never giving in

this world needs new possibilities
possibly, we can fix this place
place me in a world of viability
viable living for the human race

will we ever sow the seeds of fertility?
fertile growth for all of mankind
mankind needs a brand new civility
civil ways should be re-defined
this style has different rules than my usual quantum loops. Viable - capable of working successfully; feasible.
BOTANY
(of a seed or spore) able to germinate.
BIOLOGY
(of a plant, animal, or cell) capable of surviving or living successfully, especially under particular environmental conditions.

predator control
GaryFairy Apr 2016
he held up a dead coyote
like he had just won first prize
smiling from ear to ear
a look of pride in his eyes

the caption said "predator control"
which brought a question to my mind
if we call survival being a predator
then what do we call our kind?
posted this a year ago, but it hardly got any attention...posting again to remind myself of why i write

i tell ya brother
it's a blessing and a curse
sorting one and another
deciding who comes first

"he who is without sin"
let him cast the first stone
will the faith or doubt win?
of a soul that's left alone

i tell ya brother
it's a heaven and a hell
the fate that belongs to others
it belongs to you as well

i thought that you were heaven sent
i had no idea of the hell you'd bring
thinking of all the time we spent
screaming when we should sing

you left me hurt, left me bent
left me feeling that bitter sting
wondering where the heaven went
struggling with a broken wing

GaryFairy Apr 2016
the hands of time will lift you up
higher than you've ever been
when they go back around
they might let you down again

the hands of time will let you live
while counting down your dying day
they are only meant to give
the time that they will take away

the hands of time will let you fall
six feet under coldest ground
they only answer to their call
to lift you up and bring you down

as good as it ever gets
GaryFairy Apr 2016
i have nothing left except my breath
a sunset means another night to obsess
we are all only vessels in distress
sending out our best S.O.S

i ask "in death can i progress"?
can the dead truly be heavenly blessed?
will i pass the test without regrets?
or is this as good as it ever gets?
I know, I have ended other poems with the same line.

community
GaryFairy Apr 2016
i tried to stay true to the unity
tuned to every opportunity
i found my ruins in the mutiny
loose stone of the community

such a crude and brutal fluency
the futile fruits of lunacy
the pulled roots of my truancy
grew away from my community
I am submitting this in a poetry contest. The theme must be "community". Ten prizes of 500 dollars. Somehow, I just don't think I will win. Lol.

i stay drunk all the time
on sweet berry wine
from the fruit of sublime
on the trees and the vine

i get high every day
by the way of the blaze
that's just my way
to break through the haze

i get by all the time
with these ways of mine
all I need is a dime
and sweet berry wine

i get high every day
by the way of the blaze
that's just my way

GaryFairy Apr 2016
up above and down below
there are forces of our control
waiting for strength or weakness to show
then you will reap the seeds you sow

if you choose down below
then hell will be your fate
if you choose up above
heavenly gates will await

up above and down below
there's a battle for your soul
every weakness and strength they know
only you can choose which way to go

another poem about a poet
another poem about a poem
another poem about poetry
i feel so much alone

finding depth in the shallows
by hiding under stones
dying without any oxygen
now i am drifting bones

another poem about a poet
another poem about a poem
another poem about poetry
i feel so far from home

(i promise that this will be my last poem about poetry, or a poetry site.)
When I log in, it goes to a page called "home". I think that this is self explanatory. Poetry "communities" ruin poetry, by alienating new members, and embracing being the same. Not to mention all of the drama and *******. Maybe we are all in the same boat, but some choose to paddle, and some choose to ride along. You might ask why I am here, but don't bother.

oh, why should i even try
when i'm just biding time

i think about it all the time
of why i should never try
my life defies my mind
i just want to die
i have never been suicidal, but this is about a real life friend. i feel her emotions and i tried to put them into poetic words.

animus - acrostic poem
GaryFairy Mar 2016
Anger builds, like a fire
Neglected flames only grow higher
In the heart, the intention burns
Making smoke with dark concerns
Undulating through and through
Scorching only, the inside of you
Animus is a word with the same meaning as animosity. Harboring animosity only hurts the one who harbors it.

Fickle feelings fuel your mind
Leaving you in a state of confusion
Inside you find your heart is blind
Perpetuating another conclusion

Feelings change once again
Leaning toward a different selection
Ongoing turnabout without end
Perpetuating a loss of direction
I can think of quite a few people who this relates to. From now on I will be glad to be rid of them...for good.

all my life, it's been nothing but the fear
living in a world where any peace is rare
when angels and demons whisper in my ear
not having what it takes, it makes it hard to bear

all my life, I've been walking in the steps
following a path that hasn't led to better yet
i'm taking bets about what might happen next
I wonder to myself, is this as good as it ever gets?
Sorry about the emo stuff. I think I will keep adding to this poem though. Hopefully with more positivity.

a bottle of wine and some cigarettes
I'm calling off all my bets
I pray for hope, ain't found it yet
I guess this is all I get

a pair of boots and a dusty trail
I walk alone and tell my tale
I do my best, but I don't prevail
I guess it's all a fairytale

some cigarettes and a bottle of wine
I will get along just fine
to try to defy what's in my mind
I guess sometimes I might be blind

a little smoke and a little drink
I'm no longer on the brink
a dying mind, it starts to stink
I guess I just need time to think

a bottle of wine and some cigarettes
I'm holding off on all my debts
I guess I'll live with my regrets
a guess is all a guess begets

darknet - the deep web
GaryFairy Jan 2016
somewhere out in cyberspace
there's a dark and hidden place
guns and drugs and twisted ways
and a picture of everyone's face

it's all there, and it's all free
there's stories about you and me
go a little deeper and you will see
pages of truth and misery
from Wikipedia - A darknet (or dark net) is an overlay network that can only be accessed with specific software, configurations, or authorization, often using non-standard communications protocols and ports. Use of darknets is motivated by hiding the content or even the existence of data and communication from competing business or government interests. The most widespread darknets are governmental and corporate intranets, the use of which is a standard security practice nowadays,[1] friend-to-friend[2] networks (usually used for file sharing with a peer-to-peer connection)[3] and privacy networks such as Tor.

It also contains a lot of info about people, illegal sites, and etc. It is said that the "surface web" is only 30% of the entire web.
