I always wondered what it would be like if,
suddenly,
one of those "famous internet people"
would start liking me,
hitting each and every one of my posts
with one of their virtual emoji reactions,
sharing my words
and my soul
all over their sordid walls,
making me trendy and clickable,
part of the same pretentious content
that they're always displaying.

Will I feel sick
(like I do every time I read what they're sayin' in their trendsetter social media universe)
or will I feel proud?

Will I think that is a terrible waste of good procrastination or will I smile?

Will I roll my eyes,
after looking at their "common garbage"
or will I take a deep smell of the "beautiful bit flower that they seeded in their garden"?

Will I ever find out?
Will I have the will?

Can't sleep. Wakeful for days. The pain starts.
Thought I could beat it. Thought again, wrong as ever.
The consequences take form shortly after my mistakes.
Already too far behind me. Already flown through.
My frantic fingers tremble, trying to close.
Reliable depression.

Shuffle. Shuffle my feet. Long dark streets.
Pit stops in bars for drinks in smoke. Cigarettes. Cigars.
Like I'd ever find love tucked in such slow dives.
If stimulants may save me, I'll smoke some more ****.
Against the outside building, heart open.
I hear your quiet words.

Over the traffic. Over the clubs. Their lines.
For once I follow the feeling. Not shy away.
The music singing from hidden lips.
I must see them.

Change can fall upon us gradually like leafs changing colors in the fall.
Other times it hits virtually out of nowhere and unexpectantly like a hurricane.
Sometimes it tosses us to and fro causing us to scramble to get a firmer foothold.
Other times change can appear more subtlely like a warm gentle breeze such as gradually falling in love.
Change can both bring about both fear or anticipation dependent upon  our perception of the outcome.
The winds of change will blow that is something over which we have no control it is part of life.
However, change can either strengthen us or weaken us the choice is up to us regarding our attitude and reaction to changes in our lives.

You lit a match within me,
but now I'm burning from
the inside
out.
I came up with this while talking to a friend today at a zoo. He's using it in a song, but I loved this and changed a few of the words around.

You look at me
And my head jerks back

What was that?!
It wasn’t me!
Why is my body trying
To torture me

The embarrassment
You must think I’m mental

It's like a knee-**** reaction..
But it's a head-**** reaction.
totally random thing that happened to me today. i don't know why it happens, but sometimes i'll look at something and my head will just **** back... super weird!

Misery is an unrelenting downward escalation.
The heaviness of trapped energy becomes real weight,
it drags you down and fastens you into position,
a relaxed position, though you are not relaxed.
Placed this way, you burn as unstable chemicals burn,
fall as heavy objects fall when dropped by those
who possess them.
You are abandoned.
Left to stew in this pit of flames.
Those you danced and laughed with stop holding you hand,
for who would wish to cling to a burning thing?
This is why you deal with The Issue alone.
Because those who claim not to need anybody are liars
who wish to justify their solitude,
who wish to bury the fact that their companions,
when proven incapable of helping, no longer wish to help.
Alone, you are disgusted with them.
But now you understand. You do not act as they do
when the black clouds part because you have gained more
alone than they ever will together. And when you see
the blue sky again and regain your ability to fly
you will forever leave them and theirs behind.

When others slam the door,
You close it with gentle hands.
When others scream at the air,
You focus on your plans.

Explosive anger consumes many,
They react in the most unenviable way,
It is disheartening that they can lose themselves so,
As they live immersed in their day-to-day.

Be higher, choose to concentrate,
Know that you are the key holder for your fate.

When others slam the door,
You close it with gentle hands.
When others scream at the air,
You focus on your plans.

If someone loved You,
With all the power of Their soul for a whole lifetime,
They couldn't Love You as much as I do in a single day.

And when I think of You I think of how there's:
No Growth without Resistance.
No Action without Reaction.
No Desire without Restraint.

One step at a time that Fear is receding.
You've assured me of this.

There are so many things one wishes to.
Simply.
Do.
Yet it is that word that destroys mentalities.
Or more so.
A lack in ability.
Leading to such.
Simple.
Ends.
As it always is in the aftermath.
But fall short even then.
For it was not your own hand that tipped the scale.
Or even knew of its presence to begin with.
Even if time has served no other purpose.
But to sharpen reaction time.
Coming about in the most ambiguous of ways.
Then reaching the destination might have just been as simple.
As forgetting the word entirely.

Sitting here,
not a clue,
how to feel,
what to think.

Emotions swirl my mind,
sending shocking signals,
just so my heart can know
to tighten, or beat fast.
So my gut can choose,
whether to go up, or down.
So my palms can decide
to stay dry, or get sweaty.

Sitting here,
not a clue,
how to feel,
what to think.

Emotions swirl my thoughts
as I am mindful.
So my energy can go
wherever it's needed.
So my intentions remain
purely in love.
So my heart shows gratitude
to all deserving.

Sitting here,
now I've got a clue,
how to feel,
what to think.
