i asked God to surround me with good company-
i lost all my 'friends'

i asked God for somewhere to call home-
*i found you.
-you are my prayer.
Who too? Who too? the owl cries,
As he sees all with his glowing eyes,
Death, Growth, and Life anew,
All the while crying, Who too? Who too?

Alone he sits, with his knowledge vast,
Seeing all wherever his eyes are cast,
But none can relate with his knowledge too,
So he continues to ask, Who too? Who too?

When I had two arms, I had ***.
When I had money, I had friends.
When I had two arms, I got invited out.
When I gave a performance, I had fans.
When I had two arms, I had careers.
When I had drugs, I had power.
When I had two arms, I could use a computer.
When I had something to steal, I had company.
When I had two arms, I got flirted with.
When I give free rides, I have passengers.
When I had two arms, men and women wanted to date me.
When I had fancy things, I was impressive.
When I had two arms, I had friends.
You can tell me that nothing is different, but it is  everything is.

The weight of your absence is so heavy
I can’t remember what it feels like to breathe without gasping.
This isn't my poem. The full version is lower down, with the same title. I have chosen to repost this snippet as it is one of my favourite lines. I highly recommend that you go give it a read.
Your absence weighs down on me like... Like atmosphere.
Yet being with you
Seems to absolutely crush me.
Why?

LIFE IS JUST A BOWL OF CHERRIES,
WHY NOT ORANGES, APPLES OR KIWI FRUIT ?
A PERSON IS KNOWN BY THE COMPANY HE KEEPS,
WHO  CHOOSES WHO? THERE MAY BE LITTLE YOU CAN DO.

BEWARE OF GREEKS BEARING GIFTS,
WITH THE STATE OF THEIR ECONOMY, THERE ARE NONE LEFT,
A WOMAN IS A WOMAN AND A CIGAR IS A SMOKE,
ANY TAKERS FOR THIS ONE - MUST HAVE BEEN A ***.

HE WHO CAN DOES, HE WHO CAN NOT TEACHES,
SO I DID MANY THINGS AND MY WIFE LECTURES ( ME ),
ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT,
WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, ENOUGH.

LIGHTNING NEVER STRIKES TWICE IN THE SAME PLACE,
IT DID, IT DOES AND THE SECOND TIME WAS WORSE.

I look back at our late-night conversation,
It was the first time I've heard your voice
I knew I was the slightest bit of anxiety
My fingers were a little cold
And I might have felt it trembling
But when you spoke,
Your voice lit up the fireplace in the room
And my hands began to grow warmer and warmer
As your airy words go fluttering from the speaker to my ear
I slowly felt cozy and the bit of alcohol from a while ago crawled back up
My words were unimpaired and free
The simple exchange of nonsensicality and infinite laughters
When we said good night,
I lay in bed looking at the ceiling
But all I see is pitch black
So I think about the look on your face
As we laughed at your stupid stories
and the pitter-pattering around your house
I wondered about the future events
If I pushed the green button again
But I just stayed there,
And waited
'Til I fell asleep

Not every lonely soul
Is looking for a saviour.
Sometimes,
A person's solitude
Is the only company
They need.

Dehydrated skin, like leather
You being here doesn't make it better

Forehead against forehead
I feel my temperature rise

You make me sick to my stomach
Dear -
Darling -
My little stomach bug

let us run fast into the light
unbeknownst of what lay ahead
holding hands and laughing
with no tomorrows to dread

let us run fast enough that
we leave a part of us behind
a part that slow us down,
a past that had us confined

let us not stop laughing
screaming in arrogant glee
let tears roll out of joy and
we will rewrite history

let us keep this journey up
its fun: do not bid adieu
let me tell you one more time,
PS: I love you!
