He awakens to a day of hope
after happy day of birth
attended by smiling parents proud
who know his priceless worth

He awakens to a day of hope
lying restless on his ***
after one move that surprises him
he ends up on his tum

He awakens to a day of hope
on his tum going nowhere fast
flailing arms and legs eventually push
now he's on all fours at last

He awakens to a day of hope
wobbling steadily as best he can
one hand forward followed by knee
then other knee and hand

He awakens to a day of hope
rising quickly on all fours
wide-eyed and giggling all the way
crawling fast across the floors

He awakens to a day of hope
finally standing on his own
weeks to months and months to years
now a family of his own

Them breaking and entering isn't because they seek some sort of hospitality,

Them breaking the law effortlessly, meaning; destroying humanity,

Became their drug, their simple way of gaining sanity,

Sickness is its base, they haven't seen health in this plea of insanity,

Since the world keeps her mouth shut, afraid to lose her own vanity.

Such a poor mentality.

And for the oppressor,
Who washes his hands with genocide, his head with immorality,

If reason doesn't reach you to stop this act of criminality,

Know, you've never earned what you took, but in the end of days you will earn for your act of brutality.
May Allah be with our brothers and sisters in Palestine.
you will never respect me
you do not know how to
i threw respect out the window
along with my dignity
along with my decency
the night that i left my prince charming
to spend a night
being the ***** in the wolf's den
you will never respect me
so i cannot respect you
you were never more than a monumental mistake
you were never my friend
you were never my friend

In the midst of the rise of Asian bullying during the COVID 19 pandemic,
Let us show them our sympathy.
Advocate against Asian hate.
Stand with their cause.
Give them warm greetings.
Treat them with more kindness and humanity.

Don't stand so tall and mighty
Under the weight of those you've wronged
For one day they might not be so helpless
And as the collective rises
You alone will fall

Let your face shine with a smile behind your COVID 19 mask.
Swathe your lips with kind words.
Focus on others with the eye of your heart.
Dress yourself with a garment of contentment.
Infuse your community with the fragrance of compassion.
Saturate your heart with tenderness.
Ignite  your soul with love.
Wear a crown of humanity.
Stand tall, as a role model for rendering services to others.

the pure hallowed souls
of tribes children behind us
we stand resolute

The sun does not rise and set on you.
It took you leaving for me to find that out.
I loved you from sunup to sundown.
But you were not a king, you refused to wear your crown.
What on earth did you have to stand for?
You didn’t see love standing right next to you.
You chose the easy way out, you left me standing alone
you didn’t once hear me out.

How do you think it makes me feel,
to see you walk away for no reason at all.
Man, I had you feeling like you were ten
feet tall, you told that at dinner one night.
Gosh, you held me close and made love to
me all night, you had me thinking that we’d
be alright.
What happened to you, or who happened to you?
Why did you change your mind and walked away?
Two years later, and I’m still feeling some type of way.
If even the lonely among you have someone,
Then where do I stand?
Tiled Walls
Body Sore
Memories from the night before

Bathtub
***** stains
Bruises on your throat are a dead give away

Empty bottles
****** wrapper
You were sure before but full of regret after

Bathroom
Past noon
Time to put your mask on and face the news
waking up in the bathroom after a drunken one night stand
