One way or another
Afrodita Nestor Feb 2014
Breathing in
breathing out
through the nose
through the mouth
Going north
going south
with a plan
or without

Speaking soft
screaming loud
blending  in
with the crowd
Hiding in
coming out
from the closet
with no doubt

One way
or another
we depend
from the other
From the one
behind our back
saving us
from the wreck

Breathing in
breathing out
standing up
looking proud
through the pain
crying loud
that is
what's
all about

all but us
Afrodita Nestor Sep 2016
Nothing lasts
nothing, Love
all is dust
all is, Love

Woke up hoping
morning flames
dozed off hopeless
with no name

Day by day
all the same
blinding light
drunken game

I try to be
try so hard
caught inside
have no luck

I know I can
you say so
but cannot take
another blow

So whisper gently
in my ear
what I want
so bad to hear

Whisper gently
let me breathe
to hear your voice
is all I need

Nothing lasts
nothing, Love
all is dust
all but us

Now
Afrodita Nestor Feb 2017
Now
It took billions of years and a big bang
To come where we are
Billions of stars were born and died
In the darkest hour on a canvass of light

Billions of people have walked this earth
Billions more will come and go
Billions of rainfalls and armies of clouds
But what are billions compared to now

I feel free
Free of you and every mad man
Pretending to be lonely
Free of all the demons
Haunting me at night
Free of dreams and burden
Dragged along for comfort
I feel free
Like the wind you cannot see
Flying close to earth
Like the leaves of the tallest trees
Flying as they fall
Like the birds born with wings
I can fly with open eyes
I can fly free
Free I am at last

Secret prayer
Afrodita Nestor Feb 2014
Just before the sun is giving its birth
and millions of stars are embracing the earth
When all of the senses are being alert
and our souls are fully unhurt
Fully undressed and ready to convert
Unaware and completely impaired
with eyes wide shut and bodies off guard
Prepared to sacrifice and give away the heart
Those are the feelings of people in love
Those are the moments to cherish for life
All alone under the light of the moon
Waiting for her loved one to come home soon
Praying for the one to find his way
To come to her and forever stays

Self-reflection
Afrodita Nestor Jun 2016
Who took the smile out of our eyes
As we walk down the street
Pushing luggage we don't need
Reading lies from the lips
Killing time as we please
Hearing voices lost in fears
Who turned our smile into tears

Who took the joy out of our lives
As we move hand in hand
With the one we love
Taking paths up the hill
Making things against our will
We move in pair but feel alone
Who turned our joy into stone

Who took the life out of our souls
As we drive ahead without control
Faking love for the show
Losing ground for the wrong reason
As we keep ourselves imprisoned
Like the pearls closed in a shell
Who turned our lives into hell

The bravest one
Afrodita Nestor Apr 2016
Oh how I wish I was at your side
So you could put your head on my lap
And I could hear your worries all night long
Till they disappear and are forever gone

Oh how I wish I was the bravest one
And let your heart dance around
Make your soul release the pain
Make your eyes smile again

Oh how I wish I was at your side
Oh how I wish I was the bravest one
Make your sorrow in an instant gone
Just for you my dearest one

Against all odds
Afrodita Nestor Sep 2016
Like pink flamingos
flame colored we were born
among the rest
colorless souls
Just me and you
miles apart
so we could see our flames

Like the bird of wonders
each day we die
and we rise again
from the ashes
so we could start anew
till we make it right
or till the end of our time

Like singing lovebirds
we call each other
during day and night
till we hear the song
or see the light
of a flame colored phoenix
shining brightly
before our eyes

Of flesh and flames
we were made
to burn down like the stars
Against all odds
we survived
and against them all
we are still alive

Shadows
Afrodita Nestor May 2014
Confusion all round, just screaming noises
While looking for peace we are forsaking the silence
Blurred thoughts,  the illusion feels real
The eyes could only see what the light allows
There was a time when we were in command
Now, the monotonous life kills even  the routine
There is no existence,  just survival
If we were human we would bleed
If we were human, but we are not
we are just shadows wondering around
and shadows…
Shadows cannot dream
Shadows cannot hope
Shadows cannot love
Shadows cannot live

When love leads the way
Afrodita Nestor Feb 2016
A change of roads brought her here
Took her reason for a while
Left her dreams lead the way
Thinking wishful day by day

Countless clouds, starry skies
passed her by during night
Shiny moon was her friend
When she dreamed with delight

She wondered life seeing leaves
growing back on the trees
Even naked they were bold
Fighting back through the cold

Lonely rivers were her heroes
Using sun to survive
Endless droughts could not stop them
Finding way to revive

If only humans could be like them
Crying Earth said one day
There is nothing to be afraid
When love leads the way

Facing the devil
Afrodita Nestor Mar 2014
Who are you and what are you up to?
The devil, The devil, The devil
Who are you and what is your plan?
The devil,The devil, The devil

I cannot tell if you are a con man or just a lost soul
I cannot tell this just yet oh, be the real and not the threat
I cannot hear my voice within, it got scared and faded away
I cannot hear your heart beat too, am I dead or is it you?

I cannot see if you are an illusion or just fake
I cannot see, I must be blind or the one that is left behind
I cannot tell what I have told, I cannot hear what I have heard
I cannot see what I have seen, I cannot be what I have been

Oh, it's just as I have foreseen!
The devil, The devil, The devil
Who are you and how did you find me?
The devil, The devil, I am facing the devil

Stop! You had enough of my soul
Now it's my turn to take the control
Now it's my turn to hold you in prison
I just killed the devil, the devil, the devil
but I had a **** good reason

Outside the labyrinth
Afrodita Nestor Sep 2016
Lost my way
With your lies
Lost my mind
Lost my pride
Never going
Back in time
Never going
In this life

I lost my way
In your maze
Full of dead ends
And misways
So goodbye
At long last
You belong
In the past

It's not a lie nor a dream
I am outside the labyrinth

From time to time
I drift away
Down by the sea
And let the waves
Break my shields
And set my spirit
Free

It's not that easy
But I like the way
They cleanse my soul
They wash away
My countless sins
And heal me
As I go

From time to time
I drift away
With my spirit free
And I take a flight
Just at night
For in my dreams
I could see

From time to time
I drift away
Wishing you were too
It would be nice
To share a dream
With a drifter
Such as you

A four-leaved clover
I found million years ago
When I pursued love
At the end of the world
Lies at the bottom of my drawer
Together with the ashes of a fairytale
I don’t need anymore
I have found peace for my soul
Faith for my mind
And a patch for my heart
Underneath the starry skies
I lie weightless

This is not a love letter
How could it be?
When I am in love
How could it be?

This is not a love letter
As I have hoped to be
The words of love
I have hoped you’d see

This is not a love letter
There is nothing else to say
Than to let you go
To let you fly away

This is not a love letter
How could it be?

What am I
When our lips are miles apart
And the words
you whisper
Are not for me
What am I
When you run your fingers
Through the hair
Of an unknown beauty
One of many
What am I
When you give me wings
To fly away
but cut them off
As you please
What am I
When your eyes are blind
To the pain you cause
When you call me love
What am I

In my dreams
Afrodita Nestor Apr 2016
The scent of you was not new to me
It has filled my heart
Long before we have met
Long before I knew you existed
Outside of my crazy head

It was there when life passed me by
And all I knew were the rainy days
That cleansed my soul so I could rise
Each day like Phoenix does

It took me back before I was born
When my mind was also just a soul
And smiled at life as children do
When it had a thought of me and you

The scent of you was not new to me
Cause you were always there in my dreams

The safest place
Afrodita Nestor Jun 2014
When my father’s hands touch me
I could feel the spirits of the past
When my father’s hands embrace me
It feels like the whole world is hugging me back

My father’s hands are not soft
There you could find every drop of sweat
Because he earned his bread
By working and not lying

My father’s hands  are not sinful
They hide the rightfulness
of everything he has done until now

My father’s hands have taught me
to love the freedom
My father’s hands have shown me
how to find the northern star
and that every way I took
could bring me back home

My father’s hands have taught me
To respect people by their efforts not their wealth
My father’s hands have taught me
To be honest and sincere

My father’s hands have taught me
To love the mornings
Because the day doesn’t start at noon
My father’s hands have taught me
To love the evening
Because every warrior needs his rest

My father’s hands gave me
My first allowance
My father’s hands gave me
My first lesson of life

My father’s hands were there
When I have made the first step
My father’s hands were
There when I first fall down
and every other time after that

And when I feel scared
I always look for my father’s hands
Because in my father’s hands
It’s the safest place to be

I am in jail
Afrodita Nestor Mar 2014
I am in jail in my own skin
Locked up inside, deep within

I am lonely and I am lost
Feeling like a strolling ghost

Flying around with no aim
Like a missing soul without a name

I am in jail in my own body
It’s not mine it’s too gaudy

Going around and around
Before getting drowned

Going up and away
‘till the end of the day

I am in jail in my own mind
Paying debts being fined

For being afraid of being me
For having eyes which could see

The smallest spark to make a change
To get far away out of the range

I am in jail in my self-esteem
I could cry, I could scream

I’m in jail in your careless heart
Making me fall apart

I am in jail with a blissful dream
Trying each day to get through the steam

I am in jail but I have an answer
To **** this feeling, prevent the cancer

I am in jail but I have a solution
I am starting today a new revolution

My dancing dream
Afrodita Nestor Aug 2016
Behind a wall of curtains
I slept longer
The night
I was supposed to be awake
The moonlight
Gave me warmth
To mend my wounds
And forget the ache
I felt weightless
Like the air
****** up
By a candle light
As the gate
Behind my shadow
Closed its wings
Deep in the night
A secret world
I thought at first
As I entered
With an empty heart
A meadow
Filled with dreams
Of Gods
Waiting to be picked up
A pleasure hunt
A voiceless whisper
Revealed the secret
I’ve kept so long
A rush of blood
To the head I felt
As I lost my body
To a distant song
Shameless truth
Made me blush
As the pleasure
Crawled down my spine
I felt alive
As I walked inside
This secret world
That was now mine
As I went on dancing
With the dream I’ve picked
From the fairest meadow
My eyes have seen
The empty heart
I took along
Started singing
The unknown song
As the sun came up
And the curtains fell
I closed my eyes
And turned my back
Took my heart
Filled with joy
And walked away
Step by step

Oh what a night this one has been
I danced embraced with my dream

Timeless silence
Afrodita Nestor Apr 2016
Timeless silence round his heart
Doesn't let him play the part
Drop by drop 'till is full
He pushes hard and then pulls

Hanging down from above
Ever-aching for more love
Trying, hoping then he misses
Ever-breaking into pieces

Wanting, wishing for quite some time
So much passion, it’s a crime
Standing up in the line
For affection, for a sign

He is a man with no past
With no present, outlast
Crawling down, looking for
Is he knocking at the door?

Is he trying to unlock
To come in and to talk?
Should he go in or should he wait
Should he lie or be straight?

With heart so broken who could feel
No one's made out of steel
He hopes the feeling is not for good
No one’s made out of wood

He stood there for a while
Waiting for his righteous trial
But the timeless silence round his heart
Made his spirit come apart

There was this man born with reason
So why the pain why the treason

Before the rain

Chasing smiles
Is like chasing rainbows
In a world
With no rain
Only those
Who are brave
Will take a step
On a thorny way
Crossing deserts
And mountains high
Until they reach
The starry sky
In the deepest seas
They will dive
Until they reach
The other side
Chasing rainbows
Is like chasing smiles
In a world
With no laughter
Only those
Who are brave
Will look for rainbows
Before the rain

Morning Glory
Afrodita Nestor Feb 2014
The morning glory unravels into blossoms in the early of the day
A real friend comes once in a lifetime and it’s destined to stay…
So how do you say goodbye to an eternal friend?
How do you say farewell  in the end?

I saw it coming, I heard the drumming
And felt the endless ache long before we got awake
It’s life itself that took us here
and that’s the one that will take us apart
but we could always come near
at least in our hearts

It’s not the same I know too well
But what else can be done, what else is to tell
The life is too short of a morning glory
and so is the life of this story

In order to survive I must say goodbye
long before it even ends
so goodbye my soul mate, farewell my friend!

I wish you all the best  in all your future quests
I wish you to be strong, it’s not us that are wrong
I wish you to be loved and set your soul free
I wish your life is kind, as you were with me

Goodbye my soul mate, farewell my friend
Our road ends here, this is the end
I am glad I was a part of such beautiful story
Though life was too short of our morning glory!

Then again life is too cruel to let go of a friend
and life is too hard to keep breaking my heart
So goodbye my friend until we meet again
on some other day, in another story
or until the new blossoms of our morning glory

When with you
I loose the ground beneath
I loose the feeling of time

You take me embraced
To a world of ours
Where time is not a matter
Where there is only me and you

Oh you haven’t been in love
I can see that in your eyes
Let me show you
Let me guide you
It’s the only place to be

I am your cloud
So start chasing me
Cause the wind is strong in my back
You don’t want to loose me
There is no place for fears
There is no time to postpone
To find your soul mate
Is finding yourself
Don’t get disturbed by the devil
He will disappear when our both hearts melt together
He is challenging us
Because he is not a believer
But we are

So take my hand and let us fly
We were born to find ourselves
And take that flight
Can’t you see
Can’t you feel
It’s not about the differences
We are all unique
It’s about you and me and what we can become
An Inseparable being

Think about it
Take your time
But you cannot hide behind your diligence
My thoughts are much too clear and much too honest not to feel them
Being in Love is the final destination not a station that you should miss
So free your soul of the fears because they are not real
When we are together we are the ones we should be
A mountain flower that finds refuge under the cloud
That will stay there forever to protect him
Love is what it is all about

Love equations
Afrodita Nestor Feb 2017
One plus one is never two
When we speak of me and you
When our hearts dance in step
There is only one in true romance

In time when love leaves the floor
The hate we foster shuts the door
One plus one stands alone
With a minus sign between two souls

Love equations are a simple thing
We either fly or we have no wings
One is one no matter what
There is no two, there is no none

Do not tell me
Afrodita Nestor Apr 2016
Standing before Love
We have to be barefoot and naked
We have to be honest and open
And  not be afraid of the pain
It will come anyway and it will cut us deep
But we will feel more present
And see the world as it is

So do not tell me I shouldn't love
Do not tell me I shouldn't fly
Do not tell me I shouldn't hear the music
The angels sing and
See them dance in the starry sky
And do not tell me I should't be true
I was born to love and so were you

Seedless grape
Afrodita Nestor Jul 2016
I stumbled over a perfect dream
As the moonlight made me feel
Like I was the only one
She wants to give a smile
And whisper in my ear
Tonight you are only mine

As an empty page to be filled
With sweetest stories and some dreams
I runned into the world
With the heart sawn onto my sleeve
Forgetting about the wounds
That made me feel so weak

Into seedless grape I changed that day
Not by wish but by my faith
Kissing with the rain
Smiling to the moon
Dancing with my soul
I never thought I would

I stumbled over a perfect dream
As the moonlight made me feel
Like I was the only one
He wants to give a smile
And whisper in my ear
Tonight you are only mine

This dream I never thought I had
Made me feel like seedless grape

How would you know
If you stay behind your shadow
As children do when they meet a stranger
How would you know
If you close your eyes to the beauties
This world has to offer
How would you know
If you never try

How would you know
If you close your heart
And just wait to be dead
How would you know
If you just stand in one place
And miss the crossroads life has to offer
How would you know
If you never try

How would you know
The colors of the sky
When the day is born
How would you know
If the scent of spring
Can make you smile
How would you know
If you never try

How would you know
How love is supposed to feel
If you live your life
Hidden behind a shield
How would you know
If you never try

What a day
Afrodita Nestor Apr 2016
I sang a song to a bird
With the wind I had a flirt
I took a ride on a cloud
Told a story out loud
I danced together with the leaves
Bowed my head to the trees
I took a picture with an ant
Made a silly face with a friend
I sealed my mouth with a glue
Saw a picture of a kangoroo
I saw the moons in the sky
Let my eyes tell a lie
I met an apple with a heart
And all of this wasn't hard
As I don't have any guard
I let my soul have fun today
Oh, what a feeling what a day

Full moon
Afrodita Nestor Feb 2014
The fullest of the moons it’s not enough
to lose this feeling to lose the rough
The shiniest of the suns might do the work
to put us out of misery out of lurk

Hiding or seeking it’s all the same
when running trough life without a shame
On the darkest of nights at the eternal flame
Who is the guilty? Who is to blame?

I once had a dream of my future life
Ready to bloom, ready to thrive
I opened my eyes deep in the night
The game was over and so was the fight

I closed my eyes hoping to see
to see my future and who I want to be
It wasn’t so clear as I would have hoped
I felt insane and little provoked

The deception is real as is this moon
capturing the light with it’s own harpoon
The truth does hurt when you say it loud
But brings you sanity, makes you so proud

So why do we hide from ourselves?
Why do we stash behind the shelves?
It is so easy to see the light
Even of the moon in the darkest of nights

And the language of love isn’t so hard
When you speak with your eyes at the lead of your heart
Even your lips will play along
Making the music of your favourite song

Write me a word
Afrodita Nestor Aug 2016
Pushing the door each morning
Makes me feel unsafe
Write me a word or two love
So I can get through the day

Wasting time is not that easy
When the days are so long
And all I do is pray boy
That the nights will make me strong

So write me a word or two love
Write me a word each day
Not more I cannot read love
Not more but a word a day
Dreaming about you love
Dreaming each day
Flying like bird love
Flying away

When you are not by my side love
Summer days are long and cold
Just like the winter love
They make me stay at home

Chasing clouds across the sky
Is what I do each day
Waiting for those sweet words love
Before I fade away

So write me a word or two love
Write me a word each day
Not more I cannot read love
Not more but a word a day
Dreaming about you love
Dreaming each day
Flying like bird love
Flying away

But chasing clouds across the sky
Is what I do each day
Long and cold no matter what
I want to fly away

So write me a word or two love
Write me a word each day
so I can grow my wings love
grow them and fly away

So write me a word or two love
Write me a word each day
Not more I cannot read love
Not more but a word a day
Dreaming about you love
Dreaming each day
Flying like bird love
Flying away

Let's fly away love
let's fly away
with a word or two love
let's fly away
just you and me love
let's fly away
write me a word or two love
before I fade away

The dream keepers
Afrodita Nestor Jun 2014
I love meeting with my childhood friends
because in their eyes I could see
the reflection of the child I once was
I could find the little spark I once had
And I lost it through the stormy times

And childhood friends, they are the best dream keepers

When I meet with them I see the dreams I then had
And I feel so happy to have entrusted them with this task
Because child’s dreams should never be lost

And we adults, we are constantly losing dreams
together with our keys, our phones,
our passwords and our identity

I love meeting with my childhood friends
They bring me back on my feet with just a smile
It seems as though they know
some secret passage to my happy face

And it’s not easy to have this task
Because we constantly change
Every year, every month, every week,
Every day, every hour, every minute
Every second and every moment
But childhood friends, they know best
how to keep your dreams safe
They know when to give your spark back

Dreams can change, they evolve, but the spark
for letting your dreams lead your life
She is safe in your friends eyes
And the moment you need her she just appears
Right there across the table while drinking a coffee

And the spark is all you need to follow a dream
Because dreams, they should never be lost

We can't go back in time
Afrodita Nestor Mar 2015
I remember days when it was darker outside
Only because the clouds were grey-er and thicker
I remember days when it was warmer inside
Only because of the fire in our hearts

But we can’t go back in time

I remember days when there where rainbows outside
Only because the sun followed a rain
I remember days with smiles in our eyes
Only because of stupid little things we’d say

But we can’t go back in time

I remember days when it was greener outside
Only because we weren't envious of nature
I remember days where we were soldiers of love
Only because we blindly believed

But we can’t go back in time

and your eyes… your eyes never lie
I left brokenhearted
You left disappointed
Pity, we could have had it all

Stop observing
Stop preserving
Stop the serving
and the curving
Start to see
Start to be
the one you want
so long to be
the one you want
so long to see

Only then will you do
the right things and let go
all the aching deep inside
Only then you’ll put aside
all the things that let you dried
Only then you’ll start to grow
in the dark you’ll start to glow
Only then you’ll start to live
the life that was meant
Only then my dear friend
Stop being afraid and start living

Untrue lovers
Afrodita Nestor May 2016
Keep in touch
With your soul she said
Before turning her back on me
Disappearing before my eyes
Was the last thing I could see

My eyes went blind
My ears gone deaf
My crippled heart refused to beat
The instant she left the door
I crumbled slowly on the floor

She must have felt it
But never shared
Or I have never listened to
To break a heart it takes two
Lovers being untrue

The seasons changed
The years went by
At times I’ve cried at others smiled
Life is a journey through good and bad
Before feeling sane you have to go mad

My soul sings now
Even in the rain
If asked, I’ll go the same road reliving every pain
Love is a story that unravels on the way
Some things we lose and some are here to stay

When love begins
Afrodita Nestor Jul 2014
The first day, the beginning
when two lovers play the first inning
when the stomach butterflies and
the joy that in us lies
never let go of the blue skies
When the world is flat and green
and has beauties never seen
When we all are kings and queens
and live in our dreams
only then our love begins

Completely empty
Afrodita Nestor Jan 2015
Dali's "The Persisting of Memory" makes me think of you
The melting watches start to make sense
while space and time start to lose meaning
I now know what Dali meant

Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa" makes me think of you
Engaging me in a silent communication
while constantly smiling
I now know what da Vinci meant

The empty room makes me think of you
Meaningless objects start to lose their purpose
while the scent of you slowly disappears
I now know how empty really feels

Instead of proper farewell
you left me exposed
breathless and
completely empty

Wrong words
Afrodita Nestor May 2017
Wrong words
Lead to wrong feelings
Wrong thoughts
Wrong turns
Wrong doings

Wrong words
Lead to dreamless sleep
Empty hearts
Empty eyes
Empty seats

Wrong words
Lead to nowhere
No man's land
No man's smile
No man's soul

Wrong words
Chain our minds
Prisoners of war
Prisoners of greed
Prisoners for life

Before we say them out loud
Close the mouth with both hands
And hold it tight until they disappear
Like dark does in presence of light

Lost freedom
Afrodita Nestor Jun 2016
Running over a bridge that falls apart behind us
With  no turning back
Nor a button for rewind
No magic pen
Nor eraser for the things we don’t like
Only forward hoping for
That the new day will bring us more
As we run over a bridge that falls apart

Walking over a bridge that falls apart behind us
Is what we do
As the pace gets slower
And we forget how to run
With no wind in our backs
Letting burden from our past
Take over our lives
As we walk over a bridge that falls apart

Crawling over a bridge that falls apart behind us
Is the only thing we know
As we take our lives to go
The good and the bad
The smiles and the tears
Every single moment
That has made us real
As we crawl over a bridge that falls apart

Flying over a bridge that falls apart behind us
Is something we are wishing for
As soon as we lose some of the burden
We drag with us
As a memento of a future
That has already passed
Dreaming about lost freedom
As we fly over a bridge that falls apart

Illusion
Afrodita Nestor Dec 2015
One we are
When our story finds its way
through the labyrinth of
Endless puzzles
We put together
Just to lose our way
One we are and yet we are not

Same we are
Though different by the laws
We devise to protect
The broken mind
That once was soul
Same we are and yet we are not

Whole we are
And still divided into pieces
More than stars
the sky could ever hold
If you count them all
Whole we are and yet we are not

We are born to love
Afrodita Nestor Apr 2016
Does Love has to make us happy
Yes!
Does Love has to occupy our mind
Yes!
Does Love has to hurt
Yes, Love hurts!

But the pain will let you feel the smallest toe on your left foot and the top of the hair that you never think about
Cause Love makes us complete
We are not born to fight each other
We are not born to **** each other
We are born to Love

Naked Love
Afrodita Nestor Sep 2014
I am yours Love
My heart is beating in your hands
You My Love
You are its owner now

If it is thirsty Love
Give it a potion of honest words
Because without it my Love
Without it will fade away

If it is hungry Love
Feed it with honest intentions
Because without them my Love
Without them it will stop beating

If it is sleepy Love
Sing to it a honest song
Because without it my Love
Without it will never wake up

Don't worry Love
My smile will be your guidance
I am not worried Love
Your eyes will be my guardians

Because they my Love
They are the door to your deepest secrets
And I my Love
I am holding the only key

Let us dream
Afrodita Nestor Apr 2016
I can feel your love
You are awaking too
It's such a good feeling
It's the dream that makes us fly
It's the dream my love
When I close my eyes and think of us
Let the image wake your soul
Let it put a big smile on your face
And fill your heart with the sweetest dream
Love is simple if you let it in
Love is simple so let us dream

Hosting your ghost
Afrodita Nestor Nov 2014
Ghosts can get into your body and soul
But they cannot touch you
I have touched you
You are not a ghost

How come I could feel you inside of my mind?

I am not afraid of ghosts
I am afraid of my thoughts
I am not their master anymore
Surrender was their only option

I like the ghost of you in me
It makes me feel alive

Devil's game
Afrodita Nestor Mar 2016
Illussion is what you are
An imagination
A fairy tale
A never ending story

You messed with my mind
melted my thoughts
raised my heartbeat and
killed my sanity

Illusion is what you are
and illusion is what I feel
when I am around you
though the pain is real

Be a better (wo)man
than the one
that stepped onto my heart
and crashed it

Never ever
Afrodita Nestor Mar 2016
Never ever doubt your dreams
They will guide you without your consent
Through the storms and rainy days
Trough the blue and starry skies
When the sun has gone away
On the other side of this world of ours
When the moon is all you see
In the countless lonesome hours
Never ever give up your search
There’ll be times when you think the hope is long gone
There’ll be times when you’ll need just a long rest
There’ll be times to give up your brain
There’ll be times when your heart will bleed through your nose
There’ll be times to wash the sorrow away
There’ll be times when you will have no friends
There’ll be times when they are all that you got
There’ll be times when you’ll feel like a fool
There’ll be times when you’ll crawl part of the way
But the sun is waiting for you
And the moon will smile at your face
The wind will kiss you so softly
The clouds will teach you to dance
The river will teach you to sing
Even the edelweiss will make you think
It is the most beautiful in the whole wild world
So never ever give up your dreams
and never ever give up yourself

All that jazz
Afrodita Nestor May 2016
Sounds like drops of rain
Following a perfect pattern
Are crawling up your broken body
As the scents of spring
Spread the joy
The trumpet slowly breaks your walls
The piano makes you find your peace
The clarinet starts to flirt
Your soul melts down
By the double bass
As you fall in love
With all that jazz

How much a life is worth
Afrodita Nestor Aug 2016
In a corner of a round room
Since the rebirth of the silver moon, I sit
Waiting for a righteous trial
Like a fallen soldier in denial

Hoping like a scared kitten
They’d be kind with their decision
They’d be human and not just men
As I was, when shooting at them

But how kind were my bullets
To the people who’d never done me wrong
Even those inside my gun
Waiting to be fired, one by one

In their eyes I am looking at
Seeking for forgiveness
Hoping for a teardrop
That will make my suffer stop

I call myself a man,
A human
I call myself names
Where I should be a no-name, a forgotten letter

How much a life is worth
On this sinful blackened earth
From our death and back to birth
How much a life is worth
