The choices you make, will lead your path
Neither gods nor ghosts
Neither parents nor teachers
Neither friends nor enemies
Neither love nor hatred

The choices you make, will lead your path
You will have no clue
No matter how much you knew

The choices you make, will lead your path
You are the only one to decide
Though there'll be very few to guide

The choices you make, will lead your path
Ever felt like it's your FATE? Well, you call it Fate, I call it as the CHOICE. You are, what you choose to become. Don't blame anyone for your choice. The choices you make, will lead your path.

Here, freedom lingers
Let’s get imprisoned,

Cage seems safe.
A close visit to the zoo. Applies everywhere too.

Where is my Angel?…by Jessie

Every child at its birth

Receives an Angel guide

To help them through there trying times

And stand right by their side

Here I stand now

Head hung down

The forgotten son

I’m entitled to my Angel

All the rest got one

I think perhaps ….that God forgot

I, might be in need

Give them one… but not to me?

Is that what he decreed?

Do I not cry?

Will I get lost?

Should I be all alone?

Oh where is my sweet Angel

To hear me when I moan?

Don’t send me down upon the earth

With out my Angel guide

Oh where is my sweet Angel

To stand right by my side?

With writer guide and heart
I scribe upon a blank screen.
My penned vision taking shape
as word after word becomes
steps for a readers eyes.

Breath attunes my connection
as focus and intention
is all I need for the prose to flow
like mighty river.

Sometimes a song or sound
will inspire me as I dive into a verse
trying to swim with pen as oar.

Other-times a person
will whisper a word or phase
and I am off like a graceful Appalachia
galloping across pasture white.

With writer guide and heart
I scribe divinely with gratitude
weaving the written word as a gift.

One to be unwrapped by a readers eyes
who is ready to receive my gift.

When your life gets dark
I will shine a light on the positive

When you feel empty
I will fill that void with laughter

When you feel weak
I will help you focus on your strengths

When you need guidance
I will help show you the way

When you are scared
I will be your protector

When you are down
I will be there to raise your spirits

When you are lost
I’ll be a compass to guide you

When you are sad
I’ll be your shoulder to cry on

No matter what life throws your way
I’ll be here anytime of day

Like a wave,
You crash over me,
Open my eyes with,
The calm of the sea.

Like a book,
Your pages read clear,
Sentences true,
Chapters sincere.

Like a wagon,
You carry the weight,
Of love, hold it up,
As your wheels rotate.

Like a compass,
I use you to guide,
My direction
I let you decide.
Another old one I edited. Much better now. I would love any critique or compliments.

does it tell the child how to develop

Come dear friend I must take you away,
to a place beyond sorrow and dreams.
Come dear friend we should not delay,
in this place of ephemeral remembrance.
Follow me dear friend I'll show the way,
past all the confusion and grief.
Do not weep dear friend you cannot stay,
or you'll be lost in your despair and pain.
Quiet dear friend you'll see them again someday,
when they too find their eternal piece.
Come dear friend we're nearly past the grey,
and soon you'll want no more.
Fear not the Reaper, for he is but the guide.

We’re motes of dust and stars that sparkle,
We’re cherry trees and busy bees,
We’re rays of light when it gets darker,
We blossom, finely, in the freeze.

We shimmer, warmly, in the void,
Defying odds and making friends.
We build when others are destroying,
We guide you past unlit dead-ends.

We’re rivers winding through the deserts,
We’re oceans, gentlest at the shore.
We are the snow, we are the claret…
When earth is parched, we let it pour.

We are the night, we are the morning,
We are the ticking of the clock.
We are the comfort in the times of mourning,
We are the feathers mild when you sleepwalk.

We are the sky, we are the thunder,
We are the sun, we are the rain.
We put the rapture in the wonder,
We put the slow in the fast lane.

We are the truth, we are the spirit,
We are the numbers and the runes.
…So take your life and boldly live it
While humming all those merry tunes.
