Sometimes it just rains all day.
the sun and the moon and the stars
all take the day off,
Get all gloomy and introspective and ****.
drop deep thoughts
and fill up puddles
and bring meaning to things like
windshield wipers,
and lackluster poetry.

I'm still sixteen,
out much too late,
perched up on the steps of the old bank.
searching for reason
in the glare of small town streetlight.
I'm still seven
when it would just pour down,
I mean literally pour down,
in buckets and all that.
it doesn't rain like that anymore.
Not here. Not anymore.

A storm-front has been working it's way
up out of the southwest
since i have existed.
certainly much longer than that.
it's carved a path from caveman to Kentucky.
and here we are
continuously inspired
by water from the sky.

I'm going to sleep.
it just feels right.
I hope that it will rain all night.
I sleep well.

to be distanced.
to be aloof.
to be that wolf.
with my pack,
who supports my back.
The days are long and arduous,
the drawn out afternoons
smoldering slowly in the expansive heat,
as the sweet taste of breathy breezes
sweep laboriously across the sky,
sinking deeply into the rich brown earth.
The sweat-soaked fields
sway wearily in the extravagant heat;
the golden grains glinting in the graceful rays
of the warm, mellow sunlight.
The trring-trring of bicycles ring all around,
the flashing metal brilliant in the noon day light.
Rivers sparkle,
teeming with life so overjoyed
at the return of better days,
better ways.
Dawn gives way to dusk,
the precious light fading at the corners now,
wiping the clouds down
with deep plums,
and dark blues,
until only night is left.
The star wink and shimmer,
casting silvery light onto solemn rooftops,
shrouding and holding their slumbering contents
in a Mid-summer's night dream.
As the season draws to its close-
its fading glory resplendent
in all the wonders of such a comforting season,
the world breaths in-
quietly content
to put the day
to rest.

They say that every cloud has a silver lining.
So I held onto that hope to keep from falling.
Only then did I realize that I'd been deceived.
When it sliced through my palms and and I fell to my knees.
The sun disappeared, silver turned to gray.
Unable to stand, I could only but pray.

They say that every cloud has a silver lining.
A precious mineral found in the dull of the stone.
I thought I had found it in dark once while mining.
The ceiling collapsed and broke every bone.

They say that every cloud has a silver lining.
I searched the smoke to find that light.
Thought I had found it piercing and blinding.
I stared far too long, now my day is night.

The nightingale gives way
to the ruddy dawn and foam blooms
overhead among the early watercolour
skies.

I hear a blue-*** (or robin) whistling it's tune
through the bulbs which rise bouncing
from the rippling sea of soil,
growing in seamless swathes beneath
the leaves silken pink.

The sun dapples through, reflecting
a rosy hue into the glass
dew drops fast melting
into the thirsty earth, and peeps
over the treetops before
gradually bowing his glinting head.

Old daffodils turn russet
in the golden day
and wrinkle
as the clouds blush.
Another one of the first poems I have written. I just love spring!

see the sky .....
cladding my dreams...
see the night...
hovering my thoughts....
see the stars...
smoothing my mane....
see the breeze...
shuffling my curls....
see the clouds....
tickling my feet....
see myself.....
gliding through them all...

They say
"Is it really worth it,
To read between the lines?
I've never really cared that much
And It's done me just fine!"

           I say
"To see something naturally deemed perfect?
With an eye always turned blind
           And comfortably concealed
Behind the clouded thoughts of kind -
Mothers and Fathers of times past by
That you've suffered and you've fought
           Sometimes left feeling distraught
There's nothing left to have faith in now
           No royal of the sort
To kneel before and hide your thoughts
Be loyal to yourself for once
You know that you're worth more, have pride
Morality is an ability of yours
There since birth and always will be
The reality is richer rather than poor

           So Yes! you should question
           Find out more open intentioned
           Open up and peak outside
Logic beckons you not to hide
           What answers may arise
Is far beside this point of mine
           Just swim the sea
           Just ride the tide
Earth is our own playing ground
           Look for things inside
If these discoveries could sing at you
           I think they surely would
Just waiting for knowledge to be took from them
           Beckoning to be found!".
This poem is about science and learning and how I think people should be enthusiastic to gain as much knowledge as possible in life, questioning everything that is put in front of you!
