The moon, shy and demure
In her peaches and cream finery
Appears into the faint blue sky
Glides up delicate and slow
As the sky turns midnight blue
Soon she changes hue
Rises in full glory
As she goes up the charcoal sky
amongst the twinkling stars to stay
Now in a fiery orange glow

Moonrise in Australia
The sun sits pretty, cradled in the palms of the clouds
Kissed goodnight to the moon and stars
Birds bathe in the seamless beams on the treetops
And do Sun salutations to the morning star
A morning walk
In my cherished park
Unkempt trees
Brown and green
Fallen leaves
A carpet of strewn black seeds
And the moist-gentle breeze
Rays of the mellow morning sun
Shine & reflect hope
On the blades of verdant grass

Had been away from HP for quite a few days
Was unwell,  and so was Hp
Thank you so much dear all for reading and liking my work in my absence
Always makes me feel loved and at home here  :)
Will soon respond to all the love and your lovely messages šŸ™ā™„ļø
Mortal andĀ Ā aware
The pigeon
Fought for its dear life
And perished
Left angel wings, grey, to the earth
In hopes to be welcomed at heavenā€™s door
Beauty in death defined
Where oleanders bloom through duskĀ Ā
And fall on the pavement grey
A salute to the first light
Where colours merge and separate in the sky
The early bird sings to the glory of the dawn
And prays for a meaty prey
Bougainvilleas and the sunshine
Together on the vine, sway on
The colours of independence, divine

Playful the breeze, sun dried peepal leaves
Break free of life so green
Brown, soon to be one with Mother Earth

Mortal and true their presence and essence
The leaves represent
Nature and the cycle of birth and death

šŸŒæšŸŒæ
Moulds and mold
Shape it right or let it rot
Meanings to words
As you seek

Mountain mist swirls up and curls in the air
With White puffy clouds as in Noddyā€™s toy town
Gold and green leaves upon the conical trees
Densely grew into the forest wild
Layers of withering leaves on the forest floor
Soon faded down into the earth, brown
Scenes change as seasons do
But the mountains blue
Stood ever so tall, as they should

The door was closed
Every step addressed
Clean and clear
No trace of dirt
All that was
Left
Faces , so many faces
Once, you knew the ones
Lost them to time and Grind.

Reminded of the Ones
Who've touched your heart
Bringing in memories of your
Younger days.

Mr and Mrs Joshi
The Octogenarian Couple
Dear friends of Mine.

My acquaintance with them
Is almost two decades old
Met them as a youngster

Felt a deep connect
One could not miss the warmth
Held in the eyes of both

Always greeted them
While on the way to College,
while running errands for my mother
Or while on a walk

Never paid them a visit
Home
Although

Full of wisdom
Sharing the same , with me
As and when time permitted Us.

Retired From Govt Services
Wanting to spend their golden years
In a place well known
For
temples and quiet .

A city ,
far removed from the hustle and bustle of the big city life .

A place to call home
With visitors few
But ,welcome all.
A chance meeting with Mr Joshi,
while , on the way to drop my boys to
'The summer cricket coaching class' , was pleasantly surprising.
Greeted him , he looked older, yet as always ,same, the kind and loving eyes , which cannot be missed, he took a little while to recognise me . However, he was as happy as I was to meet him.

Incidentally, had mentioned about him to my husband a few days back, before my visit to my hometown ,
fearing for his old age and not having met for years , I feared whether, I would ever see him again. Having lost contact in all these years.
It was a pleasure meeting them, both , Uncle and Aunty ,at their home, reconnecting with them as in the years gone by.
Took  their contact number, with a promise to keep in touch.

The school has reopened,
And ,with my naughty boys off to school,
Have been able to share this here:))
Loud Music
Music that soothes
Music that rejuvenates
Music that speaks to the souls

Loud music
Forget the lyrics
Its just the beats
On a repeat
For the amoeba thoughts
Swirling twirling Swimming in uncharted waters
Moulding them into set shapes
Queuing them up in rows
Taming down their pseudo waves

Music that has a feel
The  pebbles cascading
down the stream ,
A tremulous tippy tappy sweet sound
To the heart it appeals, heals

Music that is light and tender
Dim the lights
Close the  eyes
Let the music do the wonders

Music for the senses
That soothes rejuvenates
And speaks to the souls
In tongues ancient
Known ,yet unknown

The breeze made an impression through the night
That of a warrior back from a fight
The place all glorious by its precious presence
The winds had no say tonight
The breeze was gentle
Tenderly it spoke to the million leaves
The street lights glimmered
TheĀ crickets sung their song
Like the jingling anklets of a danseuse
On a musical night

Written 31st July
My dear poetry
My love for you is infallible
Endearingly, you colonize my mind
Undoubtedly lovable

But
Please oh please
Leave some part to me
Have to get back to the grind
Please never do mind
Have to keep time

My dear poetry
My love for you is infallible
In you I find my respite
Always be by my side
one of my earlier works here
On a little break , best wishes to all !!

It was a lovely morning and the day,
Special, my sonā€™s 16th birthday
Happy and busy with the preparations
But there was something amiss
Couldnā€™t put my hand or heart on
The day was fine, but by evening there were signs, sickness crept up its way

An out of this world experience
My jumpy heart raced between its place and fist, and the pulse on my wrist
Devoid of any feeling, my fingers numb

The lungs screamed
To be left alone, in silenceĀ Ā
With the painless calm
And the pain, unseen

The chaos outside was too much to bear
My heart weakened by the deafening noise
Wanted this break, from some, I prayed
Believe it or not, god listened to my prayer

Fear disillusioned
Too many places, invited
Never the one to travel
At loss, amidst the chaos

I felt a deep pull
In the eyes of my husband and children
They wanted me to be fit and fine
The other side allured me, twice
In my mind, I swayed on both the sides

I remembered the words and faces of my ageing parents
I knew they would be worried
Parents, never fail you
Wise and old, they have great advice

To stay safe from, I tried, but couldnā€™t
The virus and I took head on
Single combat, the family safe
No more on the battleground
Self isolation done

Home isolation worked well for me
Locked in my room, with the windows facing the road, my days, alone, duly spent
The room lights on during the nights
Been longing for a break since March
Albeit, in a beach resort

Music has the power to heal
Takes you to places, language free
Pre booking, no requisites
My quarantine sojourn complete

Physically I could be weak
But mentally I am strong
With infinite hope and love of the family
Yes from the clutches of the virus
Came back alive, I survived

If words could speak for themselves
Then they are best, written
Spoken, they are sinusoidal
Unless, the wavelengths match

Thank you so much, my dear friends at Hp
My family of poets and poetesses
For reading my words and sharing yours
Itā€™s always home here, I reckon

šŸŒæšŸŒæ
It tend to bare my heart here, thanks for bearing with me on HP :)
Was sick since August 26th, now quite fine

My symptoms were moderate
The medication, rest and writing,  together worked as a therapy :) šŸ™
Blue and white
Black and white
Monochromatic
Or rainbow like

Cold and numb
Warm to fuzzy
Systematic
Cognitive overdrive

Day and night
At will
Unflinching
Rhythmic
Serpentine
Different people
Characteristics same
The similarities distinctly evident
To the eyes
Evidently hidden
The mind agrees
Challenge
Hidden to be revealed
Whatā€™s the deal

You are being fed
As you please
Donā€™t forget
They store cookies

The beat of every heart
Felt same
Hurting
Crying
Smiling
Trying
Again

Meditation for the mind
Inhale the essence of nature
Feel it in every vein, relax
Exhale
Donā€™t forget
Try again
Rejuvenate

šŸŒæšŸŒæ
The sunbeams held the trees in a big embrace
The little plants and shrubs held hands
And smiled with grace
The sun set its focus on the mountains and the valleys
The river water flows through the rock crevices, a spray of mist, made a rainbow in sunshine
The clouds float over the mountains, one silken veil of white
The Sunlit valley, the tall mountains and the beautiful landscape, the rains keep them all spotlessly green
Inspired by ā€˜Chalay Thay Saathā€™ a movie I watched on Netflix
Nature has this innate ability to take in many sounds
both unpleasant and kind, insulated its core, penetrating deep, it unravels the mysteries, mysterious its ways, in dispersion to diversity
always bears and offers fruits, fair
Nature Inspiration moments
Drenched in diamonds
The Soaked silken necklace
Jewels of Nature
Nature makes its own art .
Nature sings a song, melodious and sweet
In colours brown, yellow, green and
blue
Resplendent the rainbow arcs
In every hue
Replenishes the soul
Joyous, the heart
DancesĀ to Natureā€™s Beats
The tall mountains, never alone
Puffy clouds and placid lake
Whistling birds in the trees
Bustling village
Candy Floss man sings at the foothills

āœØāœØ
Loud mouths and talks
Give me a headache
The mind in a lock
In an open room, blocked

In my seat I squirm
Wish I could wiggle out like a worm
Heart beats go boom
Wish I could teleport out of the room

No app on the phone
Which says
Skip escape delete
Walk out straight
Neither an option
Now itā€™s too late

Worse still,
The tormentor doesnā€™t know, of being one
The crazy mind blinks and thinks
Search database, use unwanted words
just like this extra verse

To be cruel is not an option
In my head thereā€™s always enough room
To be physically present and mentally lost
To be at peace and find solace
Never A Loss

Finish what you started
Think what you want
Steps taken, mistaken
Never forsaken

Lossless or with loss
The words, always well played
Thoughtfully or thoughtless, gained
Never tossed

Mild milieu
Boundlessly, unbound
Rigours and rumours
Rivers surpass

Never exhaust

šŸŒæšŸŒæ

I have been inspired
Not yet, to write
Happy thoughts begin
ButĀ Ā donā€™t end in words

Shimmy and shimmer
A wedding in the family
Reasons to smile, asunder
All that brings us together

Band Bajaa Baraat, and the celebrations unfold
Rituals followed through the midnight
Vows taken around the sacrosanct fire
Rose petals and blessings showered on the newly weds

Our boy, brings home his pretty wife
Happy thoughts
And new beginnings
Words donā€™t justify

The kittens grew in numbers
Found nesting behind the old coolers
His joy knew no bounds
New life, found, alive and kicking
The mourning of the little birdie
Was soon filled with acceptance of the new
There, in brown and black stripes
Quite like their mom
Sticking together as glue
Their bodies kept warm
The mother has a lot of feeding to do
She has milk and a warm place to sleep
Some old rugs to keep
Perceptions change
Every life, has to have a chance
In a glance
Acceptance and experience
Matter
Itā€™s life after all
You write the unwritten
Thinking it was
To discover
The lyrics of a melody old
You played in new words
Knew not
New no more
People live
Leave
Leave a legacy
Bound for a journey
Every body takes
Nobody returns
mere thoughts
You fill my Heart
With leaky sodden secrets , First
And Then
Question my Trust
Oh it does Hurt
The Mistrust

Yet
Without Hesitation
Will always help you Fix
Your runny overwhelming Emotions

Your presence in my Life
Time and Again
Will always be There
No Despair
But a place for You
In my Heart
Rare

Leave them be
Headphones on
Cancelling sounds
Yours and theirs
Equalisers on
Fine tuned within
Listen to the song
And truly belong
Perfection is being content in ones own world

Perfection is perceiving the cracks in the wall as a piece of art
Withered autumnal branches
Dreaming of blooms in spring

Perfection sought, to please the world
Leaves one imperfect and discontented
In this, perception oriented perfect world
Compare not
Do not come and pare down
What is not yours

In a courtroom
Judgments are fineĀ Ā
Out of that, keep it to yourself

Talent is to show
Come out and shine
Latent lost, never undermine
Couldnā€™t come up with a title
Been writing too much !!
Early morning fog
Winter smiles through the curtains
Dew on the flowers
The mornings are most pleasant around this time!
Finally winter smiles :))

Thank you so much, RK( Rita)
For the sunshine for my simple thoughts here :)

November has arrived
Embers of wordsĀ Ā
Gentle remembrance
It seeks, to stay warm

Past and beyond
These empty lines
A wish to fulfil
Thoughts to redefine

Hopeful it seems
A word a memory
Disassociated
With certain thoughts

Meaningless without words
Mundane defined
Lost thoughts
Connected lines
Now
Now
Moments of simplicity wasted not

To make hours of happiness

Why is light deep within
And in Darkness not seen

Line after line, the words follow
A ritual, every now and then

A heart in the cookie engraved
Beautiful still

Bold are the ones, with depth,
shallows stand, in test, for depth

Forever skies,
Nowhere words
Today as I try
I donā€™t have the words
Yet, canā€™t express
I call him and say
Happy Fatherā€™s Day
And wish him the best
As he has been to us
Thank you
Canā€™t express yet!!

The mind is infinite
The core of our inner being
The world it shows
Admirable and to truly believe
Like nobody knows
Need not know
Connected and righteous in its own rights
For the world to believe in you
The truth of being true to self
For the truth, does wrong to none

As the wild & wide ocean believes in self
Rumbles and roars
From the deepest part of its core
It never depletes
The sun, the moon and the wind
Eternally bound, the bond
Replete
The inner circle of life
Oceanic core infinite

Thatched roof gazebo, ocean air
The plastic of the chair
Tanned, beige to a tad bit brown
The sunning shows wear, but no tear

The view of the sea
From the highway
Foaming, white lather cream
A dreamerā€™s dream, within

The canoe, rightly placed
The blue of it juxtaposed
To the green of sea and the trees
A journey to begin
Bad it says
The gateway sad
Words to tow
The server slow

502, an error true
Leaves me blue
Lips are dry
smile wry
Week after weekĀ Ā
I put words to sleep
Today they haunt
My every thought

Bad it says
The gateway sad
Words to tow
The server slow

Hello Poetry says
You have a page
Home is where
The heart lies
Donā€™t you lie
When the page is stuck
Without any luck
Poetry dies

Bad it says
The gateway sad
Words to tow
The server slow
Yet another, error 502 inspired thoughts

Last one for the night :))
I don't care about what you said
Unhinged
Off the curb
To throw me off track
Trying hard to distract
The target
My unsuspecting heart

I will not care about what you will say
Cause I have learned
And
Learnt it well
From someone
Never to get distracted
While driving on the highway
But I will keep in check
What I speak
Try as you may
To throw me off track
Or distract

Please read at your own expense
The writer has not understood
What
Transpired between
The thoughts and words
The eyes with a voracious appetite
The tongue knows no thirst
The heart all sated
The mind, of all, knows the taste
There are reasons to smile
In gratitude for all the good times
Wrapped away in a warm blanket
Of summertime

Sweet sunshine of nostalgia streams
Through the growing years of memories
Unpacked and dusted through masks
The antiques got a golden makeover
Polished and restored to their prime

Ash from the sacred fire rose
Sandalwood incense lit close
Fragrance of the past lingers
On the sunlit doors

Harmoniously
Blending the old and new within
Hopes renewed and happiness felt
Laughter echoed through the corridors
Lighting up the eyes of old and wise

The old dusty path
Weather beaten roads

Lead to the farm
With an old barn

The sun shinesĀ
with a light afternoon
breeze

Orange cosmos flowers,
grow wild in the
green hills

Silvery white, slender fragrant flowers,
bloom on the Indian cork trees

The full moon glows through the night
On the old dusty path

šŸŒæšŸŒæ

One step right

Two steps back

What went wrong

No one has the right

To wrong anyone

What went up

Is the angry flame

brought it down

To ashes and pain

Two steps back

Up and right

What went down

In plain sight

Brought insight

Up and down

Right and wrong

Life is one big song
Too many thoughts, last to be worded tonight :)
In Solidarity
Limited , Not by Limitations
Confined , Not by Conformity

Sliced the onion

A pink heart popped out the core

All tears, my eyes sore
While slicing an onion
