A pure and genuine heart
in a masked world.
An honest rhythm
beating true.
Sending the blood of life
pulsing through my veins
Allowing my spirit and
body to rejuvenate and renew.
Thank you to all who love and support me.  Family and friends I would not be me without you.  Happy Thanksgiving!
for instance, I felt the yearn to feel love
an arm surrounds an unclear path of blue,
rejuvenating it is; I’m above,
yet unanswered questions linger; seek clue,
art thou afraid to love like juliet?
hands unclasped; bent knees and silent prayers.

In the stillness
I feel
I listen
I face my truth
In the stillness
I see
I acknowledge my needs
I let go
In the stillness
I receive
I rejuvenate
I heal
In the stillness
I reconnect
I am one with everything
My life changed the day I started sitting in stillness in nature.  Its a place I reconnect and heal.

he holds the galaxies in his eyes
my heart in his hands
and fragments of my soul in his

the galaxies are returned when he dreams
his hands tremble at the weight of my worries
and our souls rejuvenate upon intertwining
-our souls were meant to be united

When that sliver of daybreak tugs at your eyes
Wake up to unexplored possibilities
Stretch your body in gratitude
Embrace the gift of a new day
Open your heart to a compassionate view
Welcome the sun as she rises for you
Ground into this world and listen for what you need
There is work to be done
In the streets and in your own heart
Start from the root
This is the first poem in 'Start From The Root', my recently published book of illustrations and poetry.  After a year of polishing this book, I'm excited to have completed this goal. I have been writing poetry for most of my life, but only seriously in the past four years. After several people I loved died in just a few years, I began to write poetry as a way to heal. It has been some of the best medicine.

Enchanting blossoming of flowers
Rejuvenate in times of gloom and despair
Cherubic smile of my daughter!

Alarm resonates
By the bed side
A morning thirst
For a new spirit,
A dextrose crave,
With a contagious aroma,
Dark brown to light
Lost in the maze
Rejuvenate all wishes
Intoxicates blood flow
First sip, a door to a day

Until the end
But still,
Wish is for one more cup of awakening
From sunrise to sunset
To revive a breath
Which connect β€œyou” to β€œI”

A round of applause

Loud Music
Music that soothes
Music that rejuvenates
Music that speaks to the souls

Loud music
Forget the lyrics
Its just the beats
On a repeat
For the amoeba thoughts
Swirling twirling Swimming in uncharted waters
Moulding them into set shapes
Queuing them up in rows
Taming down their pseudo waves

Music that has a feel
The  pebbles cascading
down the stream ,
A tremulous tippy tappy sweet sound
To the heart it appeals, heals

Music that is light and tender
Dim the lights
Close the  eyes
Let the music do the wonders

Music for the senses
That soothes rejuvenates
And speaks to the souls
In tongues ancient
Known ,yet unknown

Anew  by…Jessie

Dawn of day’s…future days; the sun has shown
Emerge… shake off what scab still remains and wipe the sleep from your eyes
Stand tall; allow the encrusted quagmire to flake from your body
Resurrect; cleanse yourself in the acceptance of a rejuvenated self
Drink from the cup of prospect; fill your belly with optimism
Clothe yourself in skin more fitting, one that dose not reflect the scars of battles past
Stand out from the shadows, walk into the light, and immerse yourself in what is today
Yesterday was yesterday and is forgotten; tomorrow is waiting to be written
Breath in the possibilities, ink the quill and begin to write
