You said that you loved me
Last january
We stood outside covered in snow
I remember feeling happy
All of february
When we went for long walks in the cold
The wind was so harsh
Until we entered march
and the sky slowly changed from white to gold
It was very painful
when you left in April
Off to see the world a new way
and I waited for you
Every second of May
Looking up and down the road all afternoon
and the joy in my heart
When you came in June
Slowly faded with every lie
I barely recognized you in July
You asked for time to adjust
I gave you all of august
It passed in a confused blur
In September I saw you with her
Sorrow took me over
All of October
Losing you while wanting to remember
Having flashbacks all of November
The cold came back, more falling snow
In December I decided to let you go
You said you loved me
Last January
and I´ll never forget it I swear
Now I know love is never forever
A lot can change in  a year
Wrote this last night, wasn´t quite sure about it at first.. but adding it now. Feel free to tell me what you think.

I remember it as if were yesterday
VE Day...well, not exactly
but, close enough for me
The actual surrender of Italy
May 2, 1945....but the **** Americans
Always the Americans wanted May 8
So, it's May 8th, but I'll always remember the second
We were in Milan...I love Milan
****** was dead, Mussolini was dead
I was alive, and in Milan
Rumours were out that the war in Europe was almost done
Nobody had told the Gerry's that though
Word came from Lubeck that they'd surrendered
I was twenty one years old, going on 50
War ages you...and not in a good way
I was in 6th Airborne and ready to go back
When the word came down
I remember kissing the waitress at our cafe
I kissed her hard, and with as much passion as a 21 yr. old can have
I didn't want to let her go
It was over
I kissed her for myself, and everyone in Milan
I kissed her for my folks in Clapham
I kissed her for her folks, wherever they were
I kissed her because we were free, they were free
I kissed her for my Uncle, who we lost early in 1941
Lost him during the blitz in London
England lost 430 people, we lost Uncle Cyril
That was enough, I was signing up
Now, it was over and I was moving on
I kissed her for everyone still waiting for the news
But, most of all, I kissed her for Leslie Testro, Rfn (18yrs)
Lance Cpl Thomas Wray (22 yrs), Lt. Dennis Edmonds (21 yrs)
and all the others attached to 6th Airborne
Who wouldn't know it was Victory in Italy
They were lost, not forgotten, never forgotten
Forever in our minds, our roll of honour
We celebrate them annualy
Few of us left now, but, those that are
go back to Italy every two or three years
back to Milan, and we toast them all
My waitress, Rosa Testrini
She was there as well, every year
Until five years back, we lost her
Now we toast her as well
We all have our honour roll
She was on mine
I found her again in 1950
We were on our second trip back
She met my wife, and I her husband
He's still there, and we talk
My Italian is better than his English
But, we talk as well as we can
I miss her, and the others
But that day, that glorious day in May
I've never kissed like that since
And my wife knows it
Sometimes she reminds me...
I laugh, and remind her....
What that day means...if it hadn't happened
We may not be kissing now
so, she'll never get that kiss
Only Rosa
Rest In Peace my waitress

My heart aches
For the May that never came
The prettiest month
The prettiest name
Oh, whoever heard of the friend I've never met
But always miss
It's a strange old thing,
But by far the most true.
I love you, May,
In the friendliest of ways.

She finds something to cavil at in everything I say
Winter, summer; spring, autumn; night or day
I will love her, more than life; no matter what
Every April; June, July, August; even May

Mayapples grow as ones and twos.
Wherever they must, whenever they choose.
When they are young they rise as one
over the forest floor on a single stem.
When they ripen and are laden
with fruit and flower the one
becomes two
I becomes you.

From then on, we bloom together
not as one alone
but as two together
balanced
on a single stem.
And between us blooms a flower
neither alone could bloom before
and from us comes a fruit
to seed the forest floor.
Some creative biology here. My myth is May Apples first grow as 'bachelors' then self-separate into a couple which is when they flower and fruit.
Written with love for my dear bride Brittany on the occasion of our marriage, 5-15-15

I also like how center alignment almost turns this into a concrete poem, you can see it as a vase and flower.
Inside the silence,
there were voices.
Some just scratched the surface and that was all.
Whether it was the madness of the season,
or the chill running down her spine,
she left sometime in the Fall.

Her eyes glazed over with a silver lining,
lips vermilion like the cardinals in the trees,
cheeks rosy and very much alive yet,
she'd speak not a word to me.

Nor to anyone else who came to visit,
they sat, perplexed, much like myself.
No words, no cries, no, nothing at all,
could bring back the ******* the shelf.

So she sits there, just like me,
waiting for something to change.
Will flowers sprout,
and continue to grow,
in a cold month of May?

May
I may look strong
I may smile brightly
But Im just as fragile as the next person
Arcassin B May 2015

Static t.v's,
Stare at it 40 hours and tell me you don't feel them pulling at you,
Bringing you down,
Steal things you found,
Take what your names pronounced,
And for what!
So you could drink your sorrows away,
Devil's nectar eating at your face,
I got three words for you,
Leave me be,
Nor redirecting to you,
I swear Its just me,
Put away all the check books,
Words as blue as the sea,
Blue wine is what I drank,
It feels alright to me.

________

Conflicted,
Misused,
Abandoned,
A shot in the dark,
But except the sun reflects,
Off the waters only if you tell it no,
Never takes it for an answer, just a blur,
A lost figment,
So your imaginary friends will never accept,
Resentment is not a good thing to throw at anyone,
But if anyone is wrong,
Then they have every right to ignore everyone,
Tie your shoes and run,
Looking around town for a bit of thrill as in fun,
So while its may,
You may believe all your sentences are important,
Hoping writers block will stay,
Only for a couple of minutes and get lost in distant extortion.
I need a drink right about now.

I say I'll regret you till the end of time,
But truly I pray for one more minute of yours.

May
Your lies so killing,
This morning in May.
My screams internal.
I cannot stay away.

I must statue on,
Must parade this good day.
As your lies dismantle
This morning in May.
It was a Sunday.
