"tyrannosaurus" poems
I wasn't sure what to make of this intergalactic space war. With flying soldiers in old tobacco tins and bullets made out of fingers. I took it upon myself, I suppose to conscript to this chaos, upon the fluffy terrain. Some sort of tyrannous Tyrannosaurus, with a purple top hat had taken over the bunk bed fort. I'd made up my mind. The only thing for it was a straight "Neeeeee-owwwwwwww" into the back of the villainous lizard. My comrade in arms however, felt I wasn't quite suited for this rampant combat. Although, his reason I didn't quite agree with; "You're doing it wrong" he said, rather patronisingly. I guess my little cousin is less of the kamikaze type and more of the tactical warfare nature.

Are you serious? You can’t make this up. Like seriously. You can’t make this stuff up! You are not even trying anymore! So that’s the guy you have chosen for sure? Audacious. Your pure arrogance endures! A tyrannosaurus. You’re kidding me. Surely you could be more subtle than that. That guy? Couldn’t find a ******* diplomat? Politician? Lying through his teeth for nothing? Jeez Louise lemon squeeze. Right into my eyes. Starting to feel the pain from all your lies. No longer Mr. Freedom and bla blaaa. More like Mr. **** off. And la la la. La la la la la la la! Can’t hear you! I’ll never trust anything you say or do. *** I know you’re only looking out for you.

A Billion Years of Leadership
oh such few words are minded, no bravery apart from the homosexuals as skeletons in the chronicles of Narnia being discovered among the skeletons of tyrannosaurus rex making a bed with its wheelchair able paws - and the flag of the Cymru fire-breathing turtles before excavation   and the myths of the mandarin too; now tell me the sub-human plot with the Normans when the anglo-sax reigned to teach me to unlearn english to avoid assimilation, like you taught your former colonial subjects to integrate and to alievate keeping assimilation: which you taught to unlearn the mother's tongue and learn a discrimination against furthering the multi-cultural project... which you taught to integrate and keep at loss a sacred soul of never assimilating akin to jew...integrate i must, assimilate i care not for should i be totally albino or asserting bleached with peace: albino oder beteuern gebleicht mit frieden. integrate i must to utilise the coinage but to assimilate i must turn into a reggae african with roots in the Caribbean than the Ivory Coast... and god willing i will not claim to be an arab's brother to settle karma over uplifting the curse over Mecca with ibn Saud's clock-tower; burn!!!

Since the day I met You I knew You were no ordinary girl. It's not because your hair was more colourful than the northern lights or because your smile was so dorkishly adourable. You see I would never really get nervous around girls, and I already knew you for a couple of years so the thought of there ever being something died a long time ago. so I still cannot understand why when our hands interlocked that Wednesday morning, in that empty feild with nothing but us and the crickets, You managed to transform the butterflies in my stomach to pterodactyls, the frog that was once in my throat has been swallowed by a tyrannosaurus. You made the feelings of a first crush come back to life, I relived it over and over until first crush was changed to first love. But when you kissed me, when you kiss me the creatures in me became prehistoric. Their bodies burnt away with nothing but remains left behind, And their bones were used to build the foundation of the feeling that I still have today. You know most people say when they have a special kiss they see fireworks, but girl when I first kissed you I saw a meteor shower.

No ordinary girl
The curves on a brachiosaurus make Queen Latifah seem like a beach towel. The jaws on a tyrannosaurus rex make Jay Leno augment his chin. The spikes on a stegosaurus make Travis Barker shave his head. Latifah Leno Barker hunt for dino flesh like aboriginals chase mammoth with sticks stones and fire dances. Yeah, I'd pay to see that.

Surrealist Waltz in Echo Chamber, Op. 301
Wake up, stare out your jagged window at the yellow-green, creeping mist that pours through the suburbs. Taste darkness inside a spit shined, stream lined dank tank that your roommates call home. Shower and be appalled at just how unshapely you have gotten, your body a testament to your diet of Wendy’s and alcohol. Go to your dream crush, thankless job and stand at attention as the human flesh wave moves blankly through aisles and registers, even as they pretend that they are not the target market. Watch as they consume ferociously violent DVDs and smart devices at discount prices. Stand startlingly still and pray to God that they are like Tyrannosaurus and can’t see movement. Realize you are a ******* idiot because you get your facts from movies. Feel fear and dread make a shrapnel nest in your stomach when you understand that this might be the best that you can do. Frame count with fellow claustrophobic agoraphobics and call that pointless perfection pursuit escape. Desperately have twisted, quasi-acrobatic *** with every woman that is willing, but not so secretly wish they were that somewhat mousy, yet charming, grad student who makes your coffee every morning. Try to shrink into her pocket, invisible, only an absent touch away. Hope that someday you can intervene in her life positively so she notices you there. Go to sleep and breathe in that yellow-green vapor that reacts with your cells and becomes a clean cancer. Rinse, repeat and pray for that big break.

You're the knight I'm your steed There are signs I can't read There are things I can't be The choir sings When you see An engagement ring Will set me free But you turn into a beast And I'm your prey feast So I hide in the crease Between best and least Between sinner and priest Between molasses and grease I hide from a monster That looks like a lobster Mixed with a mobster Using a humanoid claw To impose martial law To avoid my small flaws You were my Goliath of reliance Until we collided with defiance And I didn't know how to cope With a lycanthrope You're a mixture of Jackie Chan and Jackie Kennedy You're in between human man and human centipede You walk through the quiet land as I hide in the trees The hourglass empties as the sand tickles like fleas You're a monster unreal When this way I must feel You have the power to give or take my heart And you've used that power from the start You're a Tyrannosaurus rex When you flex You're a scarab beetle When you're evil The combination of the two Is the reason my anxiety grew You're a demon That can ****** loneliness You're the reason I've become a bony mess When I get things off my chest To expose my organs And you call it just fun So I realize you're the one From the emotions you take And the emotions I can't fake So meet me in the shed And give me Pumpkinhead To forget the blood I've bled And the taste of mud I'm fed So you can be my monster I'm not worth

Elusive, you are. Like a Tyrannosaurus Rex chasing a butterfly. Destroyed. By a mad dragon trapped in a rat maze. Flailing, quaking, enraged, You crumble.

The Dream
From marble and granite to steel and glass, we were discussing Rhina Espaillat’s On the Avenue in class, was it 1950s or 1980s NYC and were the fifties the city’s halcyon days or is it now, the 2020s, the boroughs teeming with immigrants from the round earth’s imagined corners, Hasidim and Muslim, Haitian and Russian, as we Italians and Irish in an earlier era were. Everything will be ok or not, the recombinations which make prediction and intuition fortunately hopeless and each individual an experiment gone well or wrong. On the avenue God speaks by spewing toy and clothing stores, breakdancers and ice skaters, the Brooklyn Navy Yard seen from the Brooklyn Bridge, the skyline admired when my car broke down on the Triborough Bridge. The numbers of us overwhelm, there exist powers overwhelming for the human body and mind. I don’t mind but I can’t make sense of it. Gandhi said What you do may not seem important but it is very important that you do it. By that what is meant? Linda complained Why does God always have to be a man? I replied He could be a she but She’s probably really a Tyrannosaurus rex. I like to be in America!

On the Avenue
He is off to devour the babysitter No need for shoes in the summer heat No need for pants inside the house Three steps at a time, tiny claws awhir Tyrannosaurus teeth aching to crunch the bones of his Brazilian prey Sometimes I remember to move carefully around his loud, joyful willingness Or I don't remember And tear a fat chunk of adventure out of him with a stinging rebuke But he is a T-Rex with two tons to spare

Nate at Five
Maybe if my therapist was a Tyrannosaurus Rex I would feel more comfortable speaking out loud, Knowing that he wouldn't understand a word I'm saying, anyway "I wish someone had given me an instruction manual for myself... When I was 5 my mom was concerned because I had no friends and it didn't bother me at all... It would have been nice to know about my self-destruct button... One day, when I was 16, I forgot to put on my bullet-proof vest and a beautiful boy (who had my heart on a keychain) shot me straight through the skull. No mercy... Is there a mirror around so I can see if there's still a hole there? (I'd point to a picture) ... He hit me once. ... When I was 12, two girls who were supposed to be my friends held my head underwater in the swimming pool. And the adults just sat there and watched from the sidewalk as I struggled for air... You know, it would have been nice if someone could've explained the functions I was designed to perform... Because at this point It's all guesswork-- am I mentally unstable?" And the T-Rex would look up from his book, glasses shoved against his nose And he would say, "You've just spent the last 45 minutes talking to a dinosaur."

What I told you yesterday had an impact on tonight. Combined with what I said today makes it kind of frightening. I've been extra-sensitive to coincidences lately. My mind readily noticing when irony strikes. If I've told you twice, then I've might as well told you a thousand times: my friends are not good people, and I'm not very nice, So take a hike. What I said two thousand years ago just echoed back tonight. Recalled saying it just yesterday, back in a different life: My friends are all I have, and they make me feel alright, so if you've got a problem then go and take a hike. Ninety million years ago, dinosaurs roamed the earth. The bulky massive precursors to all of my friends' births. They say a man can be judged by the company he keeps, and these are all just metaphors, but we've got claws and jagged teeth, so come and get yours. I spend my time with predators learning to prey on the weak. They accept me because I know all of their secrets in a language I've spent two-hundred million years learning how to speak. I've been extra-sensitive to coincidences lately, like how all of my friends have such thick skin. I suppose it's got something to do with my past lives, the way they let me in. I said it yesterday and I'll say it again. Stegosaurus never stood a chance against Tyrannosaurus. A well known fact amongst my friends; Believers of evolution and survival of the fittest. One day we'll rule the earth again.

Toy Tyrannosaurus (10w)
I look around, I stand alone on a moonlight road, all my own, I light a candle, hovered in front of me, the fields of grass, warm, and overgrown, I follow the trail of broken stones, made of barren lights so far away, the rocks, they whisper tired moans, my feet pass over like tomorrow on yesterday, I listen to the trees breathing with vanity, I hear the leaves talking to the breeze, It swirls around me, Oh, my Humanity! The devil is close, can you feel him? on the breathe of the homeless, On the sweet taste of sin, Global warming will make us globeless, For you, me, everything in the sea, That and more is what the trees tell me, The path grows wider, with newer stone, The future is ours, and mine alone, We see things differently, across the table, across the sea, without us Earth would heal, just another fossil in a tomb, sent to doom like those before us, All of the long necks and Tyrannosaurus, rest in the ground see the reality? despicable delinquents of DNA Throwing away what Mother Earth gave birth War proves we don't know our worth, The path reaches a fork what will you choose? for something meaningful to happen, it starts with you

Counterbalance Beast
We knew T-Rex from its tiny claws Its hungry mouth, its toothy jaws. But how can we assess T-Rump When all our data’s from a stump And weekly polls that flinch and jump? The answer’s lying deep below Perhaps with Edgar Allen Poe Whose poetry is dark and slow. A creature walking o’er the earth In privilege stretching back to birth That claims ascendance overall And loves to brag and boast and brawl And sometimes recoils, sometimes howls (One sometimes wonders at its bowels— When watching active ****** scowls.) T-Rump is marching to consume What’s going on in the newsroom And feeds on minor predators, (Ignoring its own creditors). It likes to crouch and dance and pose While speaking in a broken prose And often wrinkling up its nose At anything that might oppose Or even worse, that might expose, Its streak of show-and-tell sideshows. Alas when sizing up T-Rump One hits a show-and-tell speed bump That’s not about its topmost clump Or its eternal ****** frump. We know, somehow, we’re each a chump In thinking that there was an ump Who’d put things on the ump and ump And so we lazed, and scrimped and scrumped Instead of what we’d need to do— To find what’s cleanly new and true, And redirect our Waterloo Away from its own cancerous lump And toward a far less spurious zoo. In other words, to dump T-Rump!

Tyrannosaurus-Rump
"Lo, tremble before my might Shatter ye, all trees blocking me I needn't pay heed to birds of flight Nor great beasts beneath the sea For my wings are powerful legs My wake the thunderous echoing Scatter beta predators, you dregs! As I give chase that's harrowing Dear prey, your futile efforts fail Beneath teeth, your meat I shall annex I am gigantic from teeth to tail The legend of Tyrannosaurus Rex" The small boy snarled and sat alone, the fearful quickly exiting the sandbox

Tyrannosaurus Rex
I am in a Illusion Floating in and out I drift into my heart and see who I really love Brothers, mom, Sister can’t lie that special ex that brought me out of darkness came to mind. Man I love that girl to death. But then swiftly the pain of the world creeped upon me. Showing me all that I have lost. Do I wanna live when the pain out weights the love that I have in my heart. I let go hoping this is the end of the road. I always believed in my heart I wanted to die like a soldier.   Pain in my body turn to pleasure. My soul drifts away... I think I see the flames of hell. Oh **** I guess it may exist...  hmph!! I did what I did, so Imma face it like a man. I’m incorporeal I keep moving seeing the flow that’s traveling me back in time. My childhood quick glimpse... I took a dip. Dinosaur Tyrannosaurus Styracosaurus Megalodon I can see thee Traveling this flow on the rhythm of time. I travel to a time where nothing existed. Only the earth Am I in a grave My heart cold I am alone Are we microbes Traveling this flow on the rhythm of time. I’m in space its a natural mystic vibe The stars Flow by me next the sun I’m a drift “ oh **** its a black pit ” I enter the pit I’m being crushed Gravity is crushing me It’s It’s all around me. I can’t escape... I let go As it crush me from my feet to my dome. This is the end I’m 23 It was fun while it lasted I’m dead I’m gone The young man who lost his love. Gave up in the mind, and his heart cried. I started to long this ending. I’m numb to pain i wanna love I can see the light again. I am an illusion floating in and out Traveling this flow on the rhythm of time I wake up nevermind I’m alive The lone wolf has risen
