STABILITY
What has become of you? Your missing from our homes, our families and our relationships. People are forced to work multiple jobs just to get by never mind keeping up with the Joneses. juggling the responsibilities of home and work. who is affected most by this but our children and who they become.

THANKFULNESS
Something we must remind ourselves on a daily basis that we live in a country that is free. Although there are cracks and flaws, we are blessed. We are all guilty of taking for granted all that we have and dare I say above and beyond our needs. Which seems to have become an epidemic of sorts. So lets not forget the word thankfulness and what it means.

OPEN
our hearts to those in need, not just as individuals but as a country. It could be used to describe transparency for our government. Open to new ideas and not close-minded, free of walls and obstructions and not just in the physical sense. It could mean so much more than just a sign hanging in a store front window.

POSITIVE
There's something to be said about the power of positive thinking. Sometimes it seems every word out of our mouths oozes negativity. Its a far to easy habit to fall into. We need to retrain our thought process and pay more attention to the words that we speak.  I'm reminded of that old misguided saying "sticks and stones..." Words can wound or words can heal, the choice is ours.

When the eternal night
once again wraps up the sun
the Moon opens the window
to the forever countless stars!
I guess I just dislike my hair
I keep saying how much shorter I want it
Even though I love my locks
They stole my keys
Literally
A misunderstanding
Standing in the middle of my life
Locks on the house
Double down the doorway
Cut them all I say
who put all of this here anyways

small minds tend to think alike
often neglecting the minor details
no one comes close to envisioning
the impossible image i fathom
once you learn to see the bigger picture
ill share this vast canvas with you
Falling in love is a beautiful thing

Those moments where you think he isn't looking,
Are the moments where he'll tell you
What he notices about you.

Your features
Quirks
The way you bite your cheek
Or play with your hair .

He'll tell you how he's always aware
That you're staring at him,
But pretend not to notice

When you argue,
And he points out something small you do,
Something charming and cute
Reminding you of how much he loves you

Those moments
Where he stares into your eyes,
Feeling how much he genuinely loves you

Caressing your face with his palm,
Ever so gently
Reaching in for a kiss
Soft, yet so passionate...

When a door closes
Knock on it a few times

But if it still does’t open
Let it stay closed

"The most important things are the hardest things to say.
They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them--words shrink things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out.
But it's more than living isn't it?
The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buries, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away.
And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not
to understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while you were saying it.
That's the worst, I think.
When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller
but for want of an understanding ear."
This quote helps me understand that whenever I feel emotions so strongly, I shouldn't diminish them. But to recognize them and know they are important, then just telling myself to shut them down because I'm a "teenager". Even if I feel little to no emotions, it's for a reason and it's okay. To just let myself feel how I feel.

We love the night
Because she holds no secret stars
Or fears no moonlit falling out
