Waiting doesn't stop with love
With responsibility, distraction, or understanding, no
We wait because we're human beings
And the "being" demands we do so
That and waiting. Be it for life or Christ.

Don't wake me darling
I have no worry once here
Where rushing life finds
Every flowing finger free
And contented rivers be
"Don't wake me from this dream, please"

I wanted this seventh verse to be a personal one. And it is, a visual representation of how I perceive being at peace with your own mind. With learning how to let thoughts pass you by, without care or concern. Be in the river, up to your waist,  and be free of thought or fear complete.

Evident, conscious
Are your curls aware of me?
As I am captured
By a gentle turning lock
A wave in the subtle trees
Some writes are truly as simplistic as this. The girl in front of me had curly hair. The kind that greets you with a turn of the head and shimmers like leaves in the earthy autumn.

Very pretty.

Short the conscious span
Clicks mere seconds on a clock
Which ticks and talks more
Quietly than by we know
No conversation lasts long
A lot of what I write and struggle with is just the basic human emotion of emptiness. The realization that the new car, new friend, or newly arrived Amazon package will not fulfill your true hearts desire. This is life. God is God. And no enticing conversation will ever last.

Look up like new day
Even in darkness before
Just as a promise
Holds no heat without fervence
So soon your sun warmth is born
Truth is, that the dawns first light will never let you down. Even if you cannot see it, due to the looming clouds, it is always there just waiting to warm your bones.

No god of grand heights
Nor the devils depth be mine
Know only stillness
When I let you rest never
For I am you and your mind
This one was an interesting question to me at the time. What if God isn't neglectful, nor the devil always moving? I guess sometimes all that the mind needs is to be woken up so that it can lead itself astray. Thus is humanity perhaps. Very imperfect in heart and head.

Distant as you are
Undiscovered yet in sense
And sensory ways
Known is no keeping us here
A part from these distinct days
The idea being that you could meet anyone, at just about any time. Provided that you're open to the connection and willing to try. To put yourself out there and speak first. That is bravery. Or mere extroversion at work.

No ocean neath falls
Or sand drops ere out of place
Beneath the cresting
Turning waves inadequate
All is home in tidal place
Originating from the idea that God knows the location of every single grain of sand in the ocean (and beyond). This one speaks to the idea that we are all homeless in mind, but that through trust in him, we can find a home just about anywhere.

Through faith, he makes our location home.

When the realization casts itself like a line or shadow in between
Be it falling fast or stretched out in front with steady meaning
There is no height too high, nor fear too great
No better time or opportune place
There is only this, the height, the fall
And those opposed who choose to jump from such a height
In truth, the fearless never notice their shadow
The fearless jump, they never fall
This one was a long time coming. It's the final verse of this small set of three and it deals with fearlessness. Not being afraid to ask, to shine, to be.

It's about leadership to a small degree. But it's mostly about not hesitating when the things which you want the most is near.

Don't wait. Don't give in to fear.

Jumping is a choice. Falling is reactive.

When you stand in the doorway
Beautifully outlined by its brightly lit rays
Your curves an eclipse of immaculate Dawn
The sight of you alone brings new contrast to day
Not all of these verses are about me. Like this one is about a simply beautiful sight. Quick and to the point like a passers-by.

Why is it that all of the prettiest sights never last for more than a few minutes?
