Poet X Nov 2019
I think I have begun to reach it,
the edge of the world.
whether it is flat or round
everything must come to an end
so I have begun to reach it,
the edge of
the world
of this world
of your world
of my world.
I'm **** near the end
im so close I can caress the stars
with my fingertips.
up here
the oceans have taken the size of a mere moon.
and I think what world
must lie beyond
but I how ready I am to leave his one,
or if there even is a world
regardless
I have reached the edge of my world
and I could not be more ready to
jump.

When the realization casts itself like a line or shadow in between
Be it falling fast or stretched out in front with steady meaning
There is no height too high, nor fear too great
No better time or opportune place
There is only this, the height, the fall
And those opposed who choose to jump from such a height
In truth, the fearless never notice their shadow
The fearless jump, they never fall
This one was a long time coming. It's the final verse of this small set of three and it deals with fearlessness. Not being afraid to ask, to shine, to be.

It's about leadership to a small degree. But it's mostly about not hesitating when the things which you want the most is near.

Don't wait. Don't give in to fear.

Jumping is a choice. Falling is reactive.

The moment right before.
That's THE moment.
What it's all about.
Will I? Won't I?
I know I will.
The breath in, deep
Before the leap!
Darkness. Falling, aaah; splash!
Pop. Glug glug, gulp; yumm!
Vasoconstriction and focus.
Followed immediately by
Vasodilation and calm.
Take the leap. Off the dock. Into love.

Dawn breaks
Eyelids struggle
Coffee smell
Awful but awakening
Slightly
So
Decisions made in seconds

Sometimes
You have to go through a little hell
To wake the hell up

Shake off the dream
Dance into the waking world
Twirl me around
Like a ribbon in the hands of a dancer
Spiraling towards nothing
Yet going somewhere of significance

Make me laugh
Make me smile
Make me move for a while
Just please keep me awake

Sometimes
You have to go through a little hell
To wake the hell up

So
Wake the hell up!
Jump out of your skin!
Let the dreams go!
Wake the hell up!

Shake off the dream
Dance into the waking world
Twirl me around
Like a ribbon in the hands of a dancer
Spiraling towards nothing
Yet going somewhere of significance

Sometimes
You have to go through a little hell
To wake the hell up

So…
Wake the hell up!
Jump out of your skin!
Let the dreams go!
Wake the hell up!

I’m outta control!
Just let it roll!
Oh, wake me up now!
Woah…

Spiraling somewhere
Falling around
Dancing like never before
Keep me awake
Make me laugh
But just don’t let me sleep!

So
Wake the hell up!
Jump out of your skin!
Let the dreams go!
Wake the hell up!

Wake the hell up!

I'm tired as hell, so this is to wake me the hell up.
It's about me pumping my leg to keep myself awake, then my friends making me laugh which wakes me up. Then I decided to just make myself laugh to stay awake. As some say, laughter is the best medicine.

It’s where we smoked our cigarettes
because we were already living for way too long
but we never jumped of the roof

we only let the smoke
burn our lungs from inside out
and wanted death to come closer slowly.

Loving you
Is like a moving train
I could jump off
But it would be painful
And I just
Don't
Want
To
I don't wanna get off

Standing on the edge of the bridge.
Breathe, just for the last time.
And jump for the last time.
I'm so not okay. I can't stop crying, lol

Yesterday is either a
                          regret.

Or a moment that
                      fills us with

contemplation that we

                 did something right.

But if a regret,
         we look into the
                  past.

So not to repeat the errors
that befell us,
and brought us to the cliff

of which we jumped from.

Landing anew to the realisation,
   that we may jump.

But we will
always land at a new point
                        of learning.

I remember a lot of really good things
Like the time I had my very own swing

It was rope and wood and hung from a tree
It was always there to help me be free

I would swing so high I could see the next street
Back and forth with my legs to go higher was a treat

Sometimes I would be brave and try a big jump
Flying through the air and land with a thump

Oftentimes, that trick would really really work
Sometimes, however, it really really hurt

I like looking back to simpler times
When the fun was fun and it wasn't a crime

When people we're people and jokes we're jokes
No one got mad at what life did provoke...
