all together
with numbers and rulers we form
circles in playgrounds like schoolgirls

with jump ropes and all with short sing song rhymes
short, and now shorter, now shorter
like ozone

with long life hum whispers and all with eyes
like lacking

Life is one big cosmic joke
But once you get it
It is infinitely funny

Dare to laugh at the joke nobody spoke
Laugh along
Play along

this is one of those
theatrical, midnight breakdowns
seen by the markers on my walls
and the cobwebs in the ceiling;
and there i was,
spilling my emotions —
like fragments of a dying star,
all over the place.

lightyears away,
some stars explode immaculately.

right here in my room,
the explosion
isn’t as beautiful;
it just hurts,
and hurts,
and hurts.

Somewhere under
The blue sky

You were
Therefore I was
You are
Therefore I am

I will

If you will

Every cosmic saga
Begins, and
Ends or holds forever

she is what
black holes look like
and in the deep space of her room,
she writes poems
made of meteorites
and sings to playlists
made of stars.
let me live Jun 2019
In this life, there is always dualities,
no simplicities,
nothing ever comes for free,
but we should be grateful for every breeze.

I cry blood tears for what the world has become,
our worries are not here,
but the higher cosmic powers,
Ephesians 6,

I'm a lover of all things,
but I always remember to embrace the shadow.

After all i've earned them
the subtle pull
and swift replacement,
    the golden gain gifted
     from a soul dentist
I accept the strange medicine and sense
Suddenly my core forever
chasing the great
sulfur in circles as I fall adrift
    The wanting sleep which
closes all eyes after end of sky
Behind mine observes a screen of
Out-knocked teeth and offput blood
Pft out in a porcelian sink
The glass just above
displays swollen
  tears and my
Soul transforming from
Learned lead and
cold iron into
August and
Nothing bleak like my
Now unique two front
It takes awhile but
I have a new smile at me
Twist the
Brass doorknob upside down
on it's axis and
Walk away from the abuse cycle owning
The tired metal middle
of earth cracking
Outer mold revealing a
Levitating ball of God who
Now unbound
Seeks six-thirty post midnight
High plains and
Holy painted solace
With bruises yellowing
I scream drive
into tunnels where the
warm streetlights racing in
my periphery
know I am the glowing go of life
And will never grow old despite
Losing a couple given ones
This is a vague story about someone who had their two front teeth knocked out by a punch from someone close to them, and now has two golden teeth. It is a poem about accepting their self as beautiful and worthy after an abusive relationship. It is about renewal and resplendant transformation. The subjects perspective has also expanded past their story and looks to the sky and universe for their source of love. I hope this inspires anyone who has been through physical abuse and knows the struggle of finding their peace again.

your soul
is on fire
every loss
is a flicker
sparking new
Light in you

with galaxies
for wound-beds
your scars form
Cosmic Truth

your darkness
was made for
dancing and
your soul was
born to groove

never can you
fall off track
when every
path leads
back to you

i stand
palms folded
in mute surrender
to the crescent bearing goddess,
whose fish shaped eyes
bear sole witness
to the final cosmic dance
into which
all beings
animate and inanimate
dissolve into

between
her sensuous orbs,
atoms and stars
music and cacophony
love and hate
consciousness and matter
all become one

I desperately want us to be the same person

I desperately love to cling

To every common
Reaching
Detail

And claim it

For the both of us
