When I'm on a field
I can be free

When I'm with my family
I can be free

When I'm with little children
I can be free

When I'm with animals
I can be free

When I write
I can be free

...

But when I'm anywhere else
I'm constrained by
a cage known as-
self consciousness
social anxiety
shyness
She comes by many names
...

By any chance,
are you familiar with her?
I understand that my free situations may not apply to everyone so when you're reading feel free to replace them with any place you feel free in.

In time I feel something new
The peace of life, life renewed
I see a glow of light it sees me and brings me sight
I am guided by natures call
oceans roar or rain’s fall
I fear separation from this feeling
I fear the cage of a forced life
Give me a hope a feeling that I can hang onto,
a great awakening so I can do what I want to,
No, so I can do what you want to.
Peace is greater than fear and yet I find the greatest peace mixed with the latter.
Oh, all of my creativity,
Why does it seem to give me anonymity?

I want to be free
Like a bird.

I want to spread my wings
And fly away.
I would fly so high
The stars would whisper my name.

I want to be free
Like a bird.
But I’m scared to leave my cage
Because a ghost blocks the way.
Yet again, another one of my past poems. I found it only half finished, though, so I suppose you can say it’s also new.

Dear Heart, I can hear your silence, I feel it screaming,
without any defense, poisoned by wounds and smoke,
dressed up only with pain and numbness, as a stroke,
without an umbrella, in the summer rain weeping.

You are chained into the rough cage of fear,
on your shoulders, I can feel the pressure,
after all this time, the betrayal still hurts, it's still so clear,
in your boutique are not just delights and pleasure.

There are also fiery words, thrown into the wind,
causing a devastating drought in the soul, begging
the malicious smiles that spread ruthlessly thinned
flames on their nostrils, like a bleeding dragon.

Promise yourself that the drought will not dry your will
to feel once more the sweet scent of love given by a golden fish,
with your heart in your palm you will light endlessly, as you wish,
without the eternal dilemma. That is my only thrill!

My heart is trapped in the cage
Of your silhouette.
Chasing you through the shadows
And darkness

Another love poem,
All the roses,
And the 'I love you's,
The 'I wish you were mine's,
And the sweet messages behind.

Another love poem,
With you as the sun,
To my cloudy sky,
With you as the life,
To my lifeless body.

Another love poem,
All the foolishness,
Of letting you go,
And all the hoping,
That you haven't forgotten.

Another love poem,
Why did you leave me,
Why did you choose her over me,
Was I destined for loneliness,
Or is it just my luck?

Another love poem,
With you as the dove,
Leaving my cage of a heart,
With you as the water,
Running away from my stream.

Another love poem,
And I can't promise you,
It's going to be the last one,
Because it's not.

Because love is so wide,
And so complicated,
That one poem doesn't cut it,
Ten poems don't cut it,
It's continuous.

Another love poem,
That's really,
All we need.

Decay marks my soul

Locked in cage
Hung above the waves

Despair coming in wavelets
A yearn that aches
Smitten by rotten stench

Guys like broken girls
because they are no pillow princesses.
They are raging animals in cages
waiting for any bite
of raw meat they can put their claws in.
