Stringing them in a garland
Of compassion for all

Mellow, a touch of gold

Sunsets remind me of the beaches
A place and time, I long to revisit

A lone kingfisher
Meditates on lotus bud
Fish in the pond springs

Tigress walks her cubs
Ferocious, in her ways
Grooms with love, to prey

A stag in the woods
Flies with swiftness of the wind
Sacred its antlers

The Cremains
Shall find
A Resting Place

The Tranquil Godavari

Marking The End

Packing before the travel
Assembling things, dumping on the bed
Not missing any ,check list marked
Managing the household chores and the outdoors
All that frenzy ,Makes me go dizzy
Arranging the suitcase
Well
My husband has an expertise

At the Airport
The flight delayed by good 45 minutes
Time enough to calm down the nerves
Took the aisle seat and got hooked to the phone
A little later
Raised my eyes to look around
A man walked past ,dressed in colours
Amused I grinned
Nothing right, that I did
Caught by a fellow flyer
Embarrassed, didn't know which way to gaze
Thankfully boarding call announced
Made a quick exit to the departures

Reached the destination
In an hour's time
For the pickup
My brother arrived
My little niece ,excited
happy to see us all

A brief stay
Visiting a few places
Spending quality time with the family
The moments precious and timely
The visit short and sweet
Time for departure again

Last of its remains, hung
The yellow leaf
precariously strung on the the tender yellowed stem
As the yellow copper pod flowers
Came down along with the rains
On the vibrant green leaves
And fell on the pavement clean

The sunbeams held the trees in a big embrace
The little plants and shrubs held hands
And smiled with grace
The sun set its focus on the mountains and the valleys
The river water flows through the rock crevices, a spray of mist, made a rainbow in sunshine
The clouds float over the mountains, one silken veil of white
The Sunlit valley, the tall mountains and the beautiful landscape, the rains keep them all spotlessly green

I saw a lavender ladder
Parked against a freshly painted ivory-beige wall

Wonder how many men climbed
Up the lavender ladder
In blue overalls

Wonder what the lavender ladder saw
At the top
Was it witness to any falls

The choice to choose the complexity of truth forever difficult different from the rest
sure it tests
in nature, it is natural for the rivers to flow,
trees to grow, as naturally as they can
  how do you plant a melon seed and wish for an apple to grow
no two fruits can taste same but they come from a family of greens, part of the earth
so are we, different in our ways as we naturally grow
how does it change the truth
hard as it may sound the truth can find its way up wherever it plants and grows roots, albeit,
if the humankind allows
Where there is a flow a natural progression of what is, no cutting down, distortion or clipping in parts, as it changes the whole
it makes sense as is

And there can be one

Todays bought off tomorrow’s shelf
Overburdened Yesterdays
Bear the brunt

Rain’s on a day’s break
Clear blue sky, sun and shade
Warm sunlight shines through the curtains  sheer blue
Last night’s rain bathed the baby leaves, now gurgle with glee, atop the trees
The pigeons tap dance on the window ledge to the soft sighs of the breeze
It's beautiful when the rain’s on a day’s break

Framed Pretty into the four walls
All suited up
Not stepping out of the house

Golden sandy beach
Pink sunsets, grey silhouettes
Rare gems washed ashore

Every day is today
Until it turns into yesterday or tomorrow

Every day I think, I will do the tasks
I had planned
But then, yesterday and tomorrow take over again

Is it ok dear Everyday
If you keep changing attires
Cause new and old
Is what seems to be your fate every day

Everyday yesterday
Today or tomorrow
Each of them forever
From each other do borrow

Time lost
Never regained
Thoughts lost
The essence
No words can retain

Health is wealth
Powerless bench
No reason to rhyme

Time will seal all, with a word called heal

Times to reminisce
Promises deceased
A new born hope
In its wishful steps
Frolicked to future
No time to rest

Dreams to seek
Promises to keep
Wishes unfulfilled
Uncertainty is a treat

Each day unveils

Charming or tedious

A delight,  it can be

The villages have an old world charm
Vast greens and farmlands

The cattle in the shed, sounds of rustic trucks
The tractor on the farm
Farmers in uniforms, toil and till their land
Fresh and pure the air to breathe

Long stood erased in the sun

Until, rains washed away the pain of sunburns
The stone lay cold

In between
what you take
What you give
Living with the residue

Silver wings, magical bird
No flapping around
High fives the clouds
Nautical miles it scales
Many aboard, feel safe
In the bluest of blue skies, it peaks
Amongst the fluffy clouds
Freedom it seeks
Nose dives like a song

Clarity in mind
Purity in heart

Revel in the revelation
Of weaknesses and strengths
