The midnight voice that sings me to sleep
I hear is often accompanied by coffee stained eyes
Her nights end with a mug full of water and a sleepless tongue broken with sighs

She rattles at my door in the wee hours of the night, and I talk to her quiet till I don't hear a peep
She becomes the shepherd and I the sheep, as I jump over fences to get her to sleep

She wakes up every day with her nights forgotten and her days brand new
What she doesn't remember is out of the corner of her mouth slipped "I love you"
Pain, and heartbreak.

I know people who are
afraid of being a thought

For what happens to a thought
once it's all forgotten?
Sad how people will do anything and everything for a bit of attention now...
I hate this generation so much...
Be back soon.

When did I stop trusting you?
I didn't even notice it.
When did I stop listening,
start thinking you were full of it?

Convinced I'd heard it all before,
read all the writing on the wall.
I'd smile, and nod, then close the door.
I won't believe you anymore.

Why did I stop trusting you?
I never even wanted to.
The sky, it just turned inside out
when I first lent my ear to doubt.
'Full of it' is an English phrase which means full of **** btw

Cries for help
Are not cries for attention
I mean
Sometimes
A little attention
Is all that person
Ever really needed
Just to know
You're not alone
You're not the only one
Who lies awake at night
And waits to die
I'd be a lie
If I said
I haven't tried
And these people
With their masks on
They tell me
All you ever write about
Is suicide
But they're wrong
I write
For hope
I write
To cope
I write
To let you know
You're not alone

It's ok not to be ok

She used to call me by my sister's name,
I guess I can see how we look the same.
But now she looks at me with pain on her face
As she can't find a single name to place.
I'm almost afraid to see her again.
Forgetting me is no longer an "if" but a  "when".
I thought it would take longer but it's getting worse,
Mistaking her home for a hospital and me for a nurse.
I can see her eyes are full of fear.
She blinks. She's forgotten I'm here.

A house forgotten in the wind
A girl the only one to enter its depths
Until today when a friend climbs the steps

Inside comes the friend
The girls heart starts to race
A friend in her waters
A friend in her place

But soon the friend leaves
And the girls heart won't slow
So she's left with the beat
And her thoughts that unroll

Why is it that nobody comes to her home
That they take it for granted
That it's there she will go

Do they hate her home
Or the person within
A girl who is boredom
Whose potential is thin

Do not misinterpret my silence
As an absence of fortitude
I choose to raise my pen
Instead of my voice
Your spoken words
Will fade with time
My words will remain
Ink stained imprints on your mind
Long after I’m forgotten

Forgotten memories
remnants of which reside in the corners of my mind
A foreign tongue
unable to decipher there meanings
fragments of misshapen information
discoloured images
depicting silhouettes of strangers
who have since left
departing the land which I call home
their faces becoming obscured
by a child's eyes
Forever encased in the past

A stagnant pond
It would be nice
Apply slight effort and it might sustain life.
Two lilies, a goldfish maybe.
Over two years it's been sitting here
The lining is intact
The pump will work once cleared of its leaves.
But don't touch the water-
It might **** you
