i see you everywhere
but i enjoy the most
seeing you in my dreams
because that's where you love me

The rain taps
on my window.

                             It asks me
                             if it can
                             sing in my ear.

Until I
fell asleep.

                                                                          I wish the rain,
                                                                          was you.
Not my own, found this on tumblr, thought of sharing because it is wonderful!

you've left me breathless.
no, seriously,
you almost killed me once.

it happened about a year ago,
i was on my bed
and it was hot.
the kinda hot
that also makes it
difficult to breathe.
and i thought of you
and one thing led to another...
anyways,
i had tied a belt around my neck
to make it
as if you were really present
there in the hot hot room.
and the experience was A+
until i was almost there
at the finish line
and i couldn't get the belt off
and i rolled around on the bed
desperate for a way outta that mess.
i fell off the bed
onto those dusty floors i never sweep.
the belt buckle cracked.
so did my back but it was fine,
a bit sore though.
and then the race was finished
and the teammates
had shot outta the pen to celebrate.
and i'd run out of tissues.
i was crying.
it had been a terrifying thing
but for the second time in my short life
i'd felt like i loved someone.
of course
that wasn't true.
but it was a nice feeling.
one i'll never forget.
so thank you for all that.
(i bought a new belt later on
that week if you were wondering).
Heehee old too. This actually happened.

blasphemy,
is no doubt my intention
for every word I add
will be seen as profligate
there are no blanks to be filled,
but I will fill them
with guilt--not remorse
(or neither, or both)

for sale,
the dead sign
hanging in the window
keeping the sun out,
the whispers in

baby shoes,
ethereally white,
never to be bronzed
or filled with awkward
pink feet, never to be
outgrown or passed down,
with a few sublime scuffs,
to a brother

never worn,
left sitting on
a sky blue sheet
awaiting the feel of feet
stared upon, with rapt attention
by four faithful, faithless eyes
that would wait while words
of comfort  fell on deaf ears
but never be filled with tears
as long as the sign read
for sale

blasphemy,
I have committed thee
along with he who convoluted hope, with
six bold words
**Hemingway's "shortest story ever written" was: for sale, baby shoes, never worn
