I would always
feel some kind of
sharp item
slicing through my heart

over
and over again

but today it is particularly sharper

Someone made flowers bloom in my chest,
I'm choking
I wish the flowers were yellow,
Not red.

I felt the silver touch
On my back
As I laid there
Undead.

You held me tight,
Until I closed my eyes,
I watched the sky,
The last thing on my sight.

Suddenly,
Everything went black,
And the last thing I felt
Was a kiss on the forehead.

I am sharp and dreaded
Blood is dripping from me
Not my blood, no
Someone else's blood
They use me for stabbing.

I am sharp and hidden
Under her pillow
Like a gun
Constantly firing
Keeping her from sleeping.

I am sharp and I like it
Out of her reach
Safely kept in your kitchen drawer
Waiting for you to come home
To slice her open again
I am yours and I am vindictive.

I am sharp and I am your words.

You were a dagger
Plunged to the depths of my soul,
Numbing me since then;
The rest of the sharp arrows
That found their mark are painless.

Me
Jagged edges, you were sharp sharp sharp
Baby, have you ever seen me look so dark?
I love you, don't you mind mind mind
**** me
Is love blind?

The universe surrenders only to a mind that is still,
and my thoughts often wander off the edge of the world.

My lust
        Was found living
At the end of your leash

          Leaving me to wonder
if I was ever free

        I needed you
   And you used me

But I screamed I loved it
   And let you be

Shards of glass on the floor
I swear to god I love you more

With every knife you'd twisted and tore
Its the pain you give me I adore

Trust came as a blade catapulting through the air
          Unsure of its trajectory
Unsure of where it may land
Unsure of where it was even thrown from
But it was so gorgeous rotating in its path, pushing light from its edges
          I had to have it
          That feeling of utter security

I reached and in half a second my hand was gone
Trust had sliced every ligament and sinew away
         Carved muscle from bone

         And I felt weak
I quite literally could not grasp the double edged blade that was trust, and now

I think I may not ever even reach for it again

she whispered to me
while bodies lay asleep
under the cool crumbly dirt

"I sharpened my knife
especially for your back.
I hope you appreciate it,
my dear."

Remain until
until the sharp edge
breaks the flesh
Gliding smoothly in an oblique line across the beige
the fluid line will be wiped and concealed soon
everything pours out, but all that is seen is

scarlet beige
scarlet beige

Then.

Oh how it makes me feel at ease.
I breathe. I breathe.
