the song This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us by Sparks was thoroughly stuck in my head at the time of the writing of this and a few other poems.

They call it a gift,
this body of mine,
but every month it gnaws at itself,
chews the lining of my womb,
spits out blood like a sacrifice
to a world that does not care.

I step outside,
eyes crawl up my skin like ants,
like maggots,
like fingers that never asked for permission.
A whistle slits the air—
a razor against my spine—
I swallow the bile, keep walking.

Mother said, don’t wear that
Father said, boys will be boys
I say nothing—
only dig my nails into my palms,
so deep the crescent moons bloom red.

I dream of shedding this skin,
peeling it back like an overripe fruit,
scraping out the parts that feel *****,
that feel weak,
that feel like they do not belong to me.
I want to be new,
to be sharp,
to be something they cannot touch.

But even in dreams,
they chase me.
Even in dreams,
I run.

the sun is as hot as spaghetti
steaming with a sauce
served with a side of sizzling hot cherries.

my tie is so tight I cough in silent h's
and I'm sweating
my pores shooting out like a fountain
and my face, like an umbrella in the rain.

no time to think
no time to reason
"Ding, Ding DIING!"
I jump like I was slapped on the cheek
my beard itches, my right eye twitches
"What the F* is this?"
I write out the first words that come to me
"Ding, Ding, DIING!"
but I'm not done writing
I look at the bell,  "you f*king ****"
and I jump again, like there was a puddle before me
my head is as hot as popcorn
no, even hotter
and you can hear it pop
from the front and from the back
"Ding, Ding, DIING!"
i jump again
it's me vs. a bell.

Listen,
his music shattered stars,
ripped apart constellations,
and the universe crumbled.

King or Queen,
he bowed to none,
severed his piano legs,
to feel the vibrations through the floor,
he bowed to music.

Some called him mad,
others called him genius.
But in the end,
he became the music.
Fun fact- Ludwig van Beethoven was deaf and had abusive childhood.
True inspiration, to never give up on your dreams...
Evangeline, on the soulless night of February, I continue growing my broken wings. I remain sentimental, wasting my tears away. When I look at you, all I sense is the growing impatience that I will never be able to sit with you.

Even if I bloom with these wings and my graceful tears, I don't believe you will hear my silent pleas and whimsical, hopeful yearnings.

I am a tree with seeds of sadness buried deep in the earth. A rotting fruit of desires. I could never be as majestic as you, chère Evangeline. I am eloquently silent, with my lips tightly shut; I am a crumbling mountain, and madness slowly decapitates my light—but make it poetical.

Make my sadness profoundly graceful. Make my body arch like the slipper orchids. Make me a beautiful yet distant star, Evangeline.
princess and the frog was one of my favorite disney films, and I can't help but also wish on the evening star, evangeline, in hopes my wishes will come true too.

The Scent Of Her Sweat
Intoxicates Me
Pulling Me Into Her World
I Forget To Live
Lost In The Warmth Of Her Essence
Breathing Her In
Droplets Of Her Nectar Glisten
Tracing Desire Upon Her Soft Skin
They ****** My Soul
Whispering Secrets
Only She Can Awaken
My Heart
Follows Her Rhythm
Drawn To The Music Of Her Pulse
I Long To Taste
HER LIPS
To Drink The Sweetness Of Her Breath
To Dissolve Into Her
Where Boundaries Blur
And
I Cease To Be

Beauty, soft as morning light,
a golden glow, a breath so bright.
It lingers sweet on petals fair,
a whispered song that stirs the air.

It rests in laughter, light and free,
the way the waves embrace the sea.
In fleeting glimpses, lovers’ sighs,
the stars reflected in one’s eyes.

It lives in youth, in uncreased skin,
the way a tale of love begins.
It hums in silks, in mirrored glass,
a spell we chase but cannot grasp.

But beauty’s hands are laced with thread,
of woven myths and words unsaid.
The colors shift, the echoes fade,
and shadows creep where light once played.

They carve the lines upon our face,
remind us all: this is a race.
The painted lips, the powdered cheeks,
a mask we wear, afraid to speak.

The whispers turn to cries at night,
"Be softer, smaller, more polite."
"Be brighter, bolder, never old."
"Be worth the weight of all this gold."

The hunger grows, the mirror calls,
distorted truth in silver walls.
The scales, the numbers, counting sins,
a war where no one truly wins.

The rose is crushed beneath the hand
that once adored its beauty grand.
What once was soft turns sharp and cruel,
a hollow voice, a hollow rule.

And so the petals drift away,
the laughter lost in yesterday.
But beauty never learned to stay—
it flits, it fades, it slips away.

Yet in the ruin, something new,
beyond the glass, beyond the view—
a beauty raw, untouched by chains,
not drawn by hands, nor bound by names.

A beauty real, unshaped, unscorned,
not bought, nor sold, nor torn, nor worn.
Not weight, nor skin, nor youth, nor face—
but fire, wild, and full of grace.

Thinking and writing
and writing about thinking
While sitting and thinking
And thinking while sitting
about the feelings
(I feel)
when sinking in the seeking.

An umbilical cord
Grown from my backbone
To assure a structure, a stronghold
In humanity's songs

Holds me from eternal darkness
To halt me from expanding nothingness
Yet to sight the stars' brightness
Their uniqueness

It holds me from behind
Makes sure I don't fall in line
The darkness amongst light
The foul upon the stars

The empathy of an everlasting night
To keep me from an unimaginable fright
Away from gaze of awful heights
Never ending falls, suspensionary freights

A body full of thoughts
Hollow mind cuts out draughts
Only if time could be stopped
I'll build an horloge in my head's clock

Steer me to a fantasy
Hold me for an eternity
Back down for a better me
I try to keep my sanity

For him
Me
The better me
The almost me

That could do better than I could think
Better than I would think
That would act at the thoughts to blink
Probably I shouldn't blink

Rehearse my fidelity
Work on my infidelity
A plane to eternity
For an end to a better me

An umbilical cord
That strucks my bones
Hard as a stone
I think it's trying to make me whole

Or to erase me
To think like everything
So I could become a sibling
To this cloned society

To accept the poverty
To fall for the beverages
To hold accountable the rich and the wealthy
For all problems that comes to think

My head is its own place
Not an ordinary place
A fantasy type of heaven place
Where only I belong place

The umbilical cord can't reach
My thoughts, mind, how I think
But it reacts Every time I blink
That I may act like everyone I see
I was thinking of the world, and trends and how everyone wants to be alike and we refuse our uniqueness
