I tried to escape you
But your scent lingers on my skin
And makes me hate
All the things I once loved,
Because they're merely fireflies
In your moonlit sky
And I waste amongst the stars
Waiting for you to come back around.
What a waste.

I'll linger
Like the smell of ***
Like the taste of their breath
Their mark left in your mouth
And there I'll stay
In case I want to
Come again

Fingers brush upon skin, So soft and delicate. Let it linger.

Eyes closed, My heart races as your lips touch mine. Let it linger.

Your hands curved around my face. Eyes locked and no words need to be said. Let it linger.

Body's pressed together, Passion electrified. Let it linger.

The time fades out, There is no one in the world but us. Please just, Let it linger.

I scribbled your number over, over and over again
on a piece of paper, hoping it would make you call
me once more and linger over a conversation longer
than two minutes and I swear I wasn't superstitious
like my mother who hated it whenever I broke mirrors
and walked under ladders; she said I was such an idiot,
I think it's catching up with me like the salty wind to our
skin during the first night you kissed me and said I was
pretty decent and it's okay if I scribble your number a thousand
more times just to hear you say that again.

Remain until
until the sharp edge
breaks the flesh
Gliding smoothly in an oblique line across the beige
the fluid line will be wiped and concealed soon
everything pours out, but all that is seen is

scarlet beige
scarlet beige

Then.

Oh how it makes me feel at ease.
I breathe. I breathe.

A life is made of moments
Of both good and bad

In your present,
On your lips

All our conversations linger

If you could not
Mention her
Just for a while
I'm sick of the stories
I feel so vile
For lingering on it
But I guess you are too
Why are you with me?
Are you sure your over her?
The questions
The worries
I don't tell you about
But please don't mention it
It hurts to be compared
Or to feel compared
I could be wrong
I hope I am
But the demons inside
Don't understand
So please
Could you not
Linger

the notes that linger on the rooftop
the shapes that she drew
the shapes that you colored in
the notes that were written
the notes that were written
and erased.

the absence is not new,
though rises like a dull sun in winter
in search of somewhere
less white.
The brimstones golden hunger, and leaking thoughts, the creeping delver lingers, haunts. Swelling faith, like flame to moths, truth re echoes like the sting of wasps. Cloaked man, from another land, faultlessly faithful in dying truth. Unhappy sinner, begs for refuge. Stirring again his thin sole shoes.
