this species
that has done so much for itself,
has done so much to itself
and offered so little
is it worth this all?
the planet and it's treasures
galapagos and great reefs
swamps, bulging with reeds
the birds, the trees, the bees
african sahara,
the amazon's green green leaves
would you believe it
that it is?
we will pay tenfold
with hindsight 20^∞
looking back in regret
but with a bittersweet affinity

Heaven’s just too high above.
How will I be able to reach you
If my arms aren’t long enough?
Do you hear me when I call to you?

Is it not enough to pray?
Take my pain away!

No one should have to go through this.
Lay this burden to rest.
Why’d you come down and take her?
In death do your hands grow gentler?

This cross is far too heavy.
Watch as it breaks my body.
Returning me to the dirt,
Delivering me to the cradle of earth.
Where the pain can not reach me.

When I close my eyes for the last time
And open them, will I see her again?
There is a lie in believe,
So why should I believe you
When you say
That if I pray
You will take my pain away?
Note: This was written a while back. My mind set has changed.

Hello, hi! I'm Spike C. Ovid and
I was born in Somewhere in 2019.
Yes, I'm the one you would have never wanted to hear from.

Don't panic!

I'm not the evil one; I'm here because I only want to live;
just like you.

Let me tell you straightaway: this is a knock out match.
I'm invisible to the naked eye but you're not so gullible:
you have science and technology and sometimes common sense and, on special occasions, even a spirit of brotherhood.

I want to be really outspoken: my best weapons in this battle are:
your fears, your selfishness, your clinging to private wealth, your individualism and narcissism, as  well as, your conflicting political, religious, and ethnic identifications.

Please don't play the indignant card;

just remember that you are here, by chance, because a meteorite hit this planet and wiped out dinosaurs; but, soon after that, you wiped out the Neanderthals and so many other species, later on, including your own kind.

I’ve already told you, I won't be a hypocrite!
I want you to work for me, free.
I'm copying this from you.
However the final price for this tug of war will only be
something you don't care that much for:

EARTH!

Why did I write you this letter?
Let’s make a deal to end this clash!
Hand all the old and very ill ones over to me - They’re only a burden for you - and then I’ll leave.
A fair agreement: no more fear, no more casualties, on both sides.

Please make up your mind quickly.
I Look forward to meeting you soon.
Good luck!

P.S.

Remember that I was born to dominate: I was born crowned!

Thunder and rain
Dark clouds roll over the earth
Not quickly as in a storm
The heavens stand almost still
The rain not slanted but straight down
No lighting but only thunder
So much known to now be lost
Most of it for the better
For knowing all evil
Only multiplies evil
And the deep truths
Obscure the simple ones
Let the rain come
To wash us all away
That those who come after
May be better than we
Though it is not intended
Nor can ever been
Until all things pass away

Death only has power  when entwined with flesh;
as it is the pathological.. and its need to be propped up
--which is all there is   to embrace the illusion.
Yet, no flesh can stand  before the Face
and so  is burned-off  in an instant.

Now, with nowhere left to hide--
the hidden..  becomes, fully known.
                   (the illusion,  and it's deception)

And so  separated,  (but not really)
all things  known
will eventually be brought  back home--

A boat, now empty of its captives~
the last to step off;

                shining  as  bright

                         as the Morning Star

Pleased to meet you--
hope you guessed my name,  ah yeah
'Cause what's confusing you,
is just the nature of my game

Mm.

My mind is a forest
Of vast sweeping pine
A continent of conifers
In this head of mine

Contemplation arrives as thin soapy clouds
Silent rivers trickle feeling
In the bush, trails of thought
Go for miles freewheeling

There are no people in these silent woods
No creature makes a sound
This is where I can be safe
In a place I can't be found
This poem is about contemplation and thought.

I sunk my fingers down
into the loam of an ancient
buffalo wallow and the
land that had quietly
prepared for their species
untold millennia before me.

I held the buffalo’s
mourning in my heart,
and felt the Buffalo Nations’
cry rattle against my ribs.

I opened myself to the
Earth and it spoke
sorrowfully to me
of its broken home.
