It was showing on his blushing skin and shaking hands.
His insecurity was running through his veins.
His eyes started wandering when I caught him looking.

It was showing on my blushing skin and shaking hands.
My insecurity was running through my veins.
My eyes started wandering when he caught me looking.

It was showing on our blushing skin and shaking hands.
Our insecurities was running through our veins.
Our eyes started wandering we caught each other looking.

Soft, blush skin,

Aches to sink into their rightful place,

Press into their fleshy counterpart,

Yearns to push their sweet companion,

Longs to touch, to taste,

Form into the contours of a mirrored feature.

And nervously dances slurred words about,

Just behind their surface,

To tell you to kiss them ever so gently.
I can feel the blood,

The surge of warm,

Involuntary blood,

Rush to my head,

Dizzy my thoughts,

Redden my cheeks.

Oh, what you do to me.

My Life Is An Apple Tree
And You’re The Sole Fruit
You Bear The Seeds To Me
For A Bigger And Better Life

You Are So Sweet
You Are So Gentle
You Do Not Sin
When You Blush, It’s Like *Apple Skin

A small grin
turns into
a blush
as he makes
you
smile
from ear to ear
you can't help it
happiness overtakes
you
as your cheeks start to
burn
but you don't
mind
because he's the
one that made
you smile

You saw me first.

I was flattered to know,
I had an admirer.

I was told, "you thought I was warm like sunshine"
I knew then I wanted you as mine.

My walk changed,
my smile opened,
and I wore a little more perfume.

Then on day 1, I lite up
after seeing you in the classroom.

The nightingale gives way
to the ruddy dawn and foam blooms
overhead among the early watercolour
skies.

I hear a blue-*** (or robin) whistling it's tune
through the bulbs which rise bouncing
from the rippling sea of soil,
growing in seamless swathes beneath
the leaves silken pink.

The sun dapples through, reflecting
a rosy hue into the glass
dew drops fast melting
into the thirsty earth, and peeps
over the treetops before
gradually bowing his glinting head.

Old daffodils turn russet
in the golden day
and wrinkle
as the clouds blush.
Another one of the first poems I have written. I just love spring!

I am the tenderness in your eyes
When I hold your hands in mine.
I am the shiver down my spine
When your soft lips touch my skin.
I am the blush that colours your cheeks
When you smile at me in your special way.
I am the air of mysterious charm you carry
When you play with your enticing, enchanting tresses.
I am the hesitation in your voice
When you voice your deepest desires.
And I am your impulsive smile
When our eyes meet when its least expected.

I am all you are, I am all you feel
And yet, I'm nothing without you.
