I cannot seem to stop dropping your heart
I try my best to carry it with care
My shoulders loaded with guilt, shame, and fear,
The weight of it combined is too much to bear.
I am so weak sometimes

What will you do when your heart stops beating?
When you push sore limbs until they break?
I  am so worried it's making me crazy
Watching you battle everyday ache.

I am unable to pull even half my weight
I've not been the woman you need me to try and be
Each time I touch your weary shoulders
I feel the rain naked eye cannot see.
No one knows how hard it gets sometimes.

My shoulders a mountaintop
My mind a sky
Would you climb?
Will you fly?
Just a clever little thing to keep in mind.  Hue hue.  (:

I like the curves of your shoulders and the strength in your spine.
I like the softness in your lips but the roughness in your hands.
I like the sparkle in your eyes and the sarcasm in your smile.

I like the pieces of you that you hide away under layers of thick skin.
The sadness you try to hide when you bite your lip and look left.
The laughter you feel when you shake your head and glance down.
The irritations you know when you roll your eyes up and to the right.

I like those things more than you'll ever know. But the things I love about you could never be explained in poetry.
Head and Shoulders, knees and toes

That's the way the story goes

Here is something no one knows

To lepers...it's important

It's the inventory song

You may think that this is wrong

Put me back where I belong

But, lepers need to do this

Count your digits 'fore you leave

It's a fact you must believe

They're not out for to deceive

They need to inventory

If they count and all is there

They face the world without a care

They lose their parts, but not their hair

Their day will be successful

Head and Shoulders, Knees and toes

That's the way the old song goes

I've got four fingers and six toes

I guess I'll put some gloves on

The inventory song is neat

It teaches them, they need two feet

Or they can't walk down the street

It really is important

Gripping things is kind of tough

When digits...you've not enough

You know your fingers' with your stuff

You'll go and find it later

So, if you think that  this is wrong

And you do not like this song

Put me back where I belong

I think this song's a service

Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes

I've a friend with half a nose

Now you know what no one knows

Inventory is required.

If I could lie in bed, by my window
forever, I would. But only when
it’s dark and stormy outside and
the wind whistles by my side,
around the middle of November.

If I could listen to the trees roar
and growl, so peacefully loud,
not here with me, but still so
close, I would jump at every chance.

If I could feel the subtle draft
of chaotic darkness kiss my
cheeks and bare shoulders
for years and years, I would.

Desolation perches
              On my
                  Shoulders.
Fading whispering words scream.

Put me on the shoulders of men
and I will not fail
Rise up through the disastrous causes
and I will conquer

For my fellow man I will lead
and cast out madness
Survive now, in the moment
and bleed them with fear

Through the battlegrounds of anger
and civil disobedience
I will guide the willing
and soldier forward into this septic war
Tired of the fighting in the streets of this nation, everyday it's a different war on different street. Many have become septic to hate. What a shame!!

You
Drowned in confusion
trust in all
trust in you
trust in us

eyes are closed
hands are cold
sounds are surrounding
pain beside me

comfort in you
my head rest assures
shoulder like pillows
hands are warm

the dance of our hands
the rhythm of our fingers

two sunrises
nobody beside me
but warmth still lingering
