A bad day is like a rain storm,
It starts with one drop of rain.
It multiplies,
More drops keep falling,
Falling, falling, and falling,
Until everything has fallen,
All those raindrops have hit rock bottom,
But then in a few days everything is dry,
It's as if nothing had happened at all,
And life begins anew,
Warm and sunny without a care in the world.
Revenant Oct 2014
Raining and thunder and lightening and frightened
What happened to sunshine?
Cold and starving and desperate; hopeless and desolate
What happened to grace?
Drown me in the waves crashing about in your mind
Filet my heart with your calloused hands
Love me in the pit of your stomach, where hatred lies anything but dormant
Kiss me with everyone you are
Destroy me in your wake
You are a burning church, and I am
face-down in the Holy Water
screaming out hymns;
trying to drown out the flames.
I love you
My dearest love

Lock jawed.
Cuz when it rains it ******* pours.
Sleeping in dead fruit flies.
Choking on bug spray that killed said flies.
I need a job.

Praying for a god ****** miracle.
Im praying for a miracle.

I love this weather so much.
There's such a calm like no other
that descends
over the quiet, big house
when the sky outside means
we have to turn on the low lamps
even though it's the middle of
the day and
all you can hear
is distant classical music
upstairs and the soft,
crescendos of rain.
With chai and cinnamon
still on my lips
and heavy breath.
I always find it strange
How a clear sunny sky
Can turn to a dark cloudy rainstorm
In the blink of an eye

Now there's nothing I can see
Beyond one hundred feet
Just my dear surroundings
My belongings and me

Where did you come from?
What brings you here?
What do you want with me?
What are you doing here?

How long are you going to stay?
When are you going to leave?
I have plans for tomorrow
Don't ruin them for me please
This is a short poem I wrote two weeks ago regarding my thoughts on British weather these days.

buckets of water fell from the sky,
some would call it an angel's tears.
great booms struck the sky
vibrating in her toes
as if she were at a bowling alley.
the sky sometimes lit up
with crooked purple flashes.
the story weather
matched her stormy mood

Blanketed gray skies
rolling in,
Something bout the rain,
Raises goosebumps on my skin.
Yet were all inside under cover,
Cherishing the long nights,
Nights that cause me to write here and wonder.
As the wind whispers my heart does too,
Putting words to the paper,
Ink in hues of blue.
The quiet hum of the rain surrounds,
Dimmed lights,
Soothing sounds.

The leaf frays under chaste
turpentine which fractures
it's skeleton and tumbles
to bed whilst
raining silver strikes
air raids to the wind and fires
the sirened sun
who was soaking asleep
in a bath of roses as the moon blossom glided down the slippery *****.

Funny how when it storms,
You’re lying in bed,
The lightning cracks,
The thunder shakes your walls,
And yet,
You feel safe.

Funny how when you’re in love,
You’re lying in bed,
Your heart aches,
The pain rattles your bones,
And yet,
You feel safe.
