The name pops up on my screen
It's been months, but I never leave you on seen
It's a habit I just can't kick
And you're a person I hate to miss
I close my eyes and feel it all
The years of tears
From laughter and love
To heartbreak and hurt
All from you
And you always pop back up
Texting to talking to drives
To parking spots and rendezvous
It's always you
Then yelling and screams
More tearing at the seams
You'll never hear my name
And be able to close your eyes
And not see me
Or hear me
My words in your ear
Hands on your face
In love or pity
In passionate routine
A forever
That you thought was me
Is only a cycle of names on a screen
And I'm not the one that goes back
I'm the one that's gone back too
It's not me
It's you

Staying silent isn't an option
Rather it has became a habit for us,
The habit
That's letting blood , cries and greenhouse gases
To stain our world's beautiful canvas;
Let's raise our voices and let our actions speak for our world

my friends latch themselves to me
and love me

i take my bad habits
and cut them off
as if with a knife

they tried to change me
but i was forged of stone

they tried to help me
but now they can't
i've made myself lonely

There’s so much destruction in me
I’d like to make progress
I’d like to try and get clean
Just so it’ll feel worse
When I fall back into my habit
It’ll feel a lot better if you can hold off a little longer.....

my worst habits are those of biting fingernails, opening wounds and rubbing my eyes too strongly
and then
then there is you
and you,
oh boy,
you are my worst yet favorite habit

i was so used to people leaving
that it occurred to me like a habit
–a daily routine, a little less off my to do list

it was always bound to happen
like a messy bed after a night's sleep
then I will open my eyes
when the clock ticks at eight

i was used to people leaving
that i leave the front door open
and keep it unlocked as a habit
so ill have little less people to keep
just a prompt in progress.
Before I act, I’ll think to ask
Where each simple action leads
By looking ahead (a useful task)
I’ll plant some amazing seeds

Results do not come unaware
Blown in by whim or chance
They come by taking loving care
And by thinking in advance

So look ahead I gladly will
My just rewards I’ll reap
I’ll practice at this helpful skill
Form a habit that I’ll keep

Many mistakes I can prevent
By thinking where this leads
“Looking Ahead” is heaven sent
To help me choose my deeds

I'm happy to say that I quit smoking half a year ago.
It's been six months today since I last smoked tobacco.
When I was presented with the opportunity to quit, I decided to reach out and grab it.
All that I needed was some nicotine patches and faith in God to be able to kick the habit.
I quit smoking even though it's not an easy thing to do.
If you're a smoker who wants to quit, I believe in you.

tap
We treadmill experience
through the repetition of act
and retapping of memory

We loot from ourselves
trying to obtain
a moment absent from the self

We put essence to exhaustion
and wind ourselves ground

We have moulded a depression

Since WE have achieved this
surely
WE can muster an opposing goal ?
