Time is what we want most
We all need it
But time never waits
Time never stops

Years
Months
Weeks
Days
Hours
Minutes
Seconds

Use them
Live
Time is now
Q Feb 2020
someday, i will flee the echoes of finished years
and when my final breath is drawn,
i hope to slip into the fragile haven
located in between your fingers.

I thought I deleted you
Actually that's not true
It's been 6 years now
That I've been messing with you
When will one of us get another
To take the place as a lover
Because we aren't in love
We just kiss each other
Naseeha Ansari Jan 2020
A decade starts, leaving the previous one behind,
The whole world celebrates.
And the history’s put to rewind.
For the next ten years.

With so much lived in the past
And so much to live in the coming ones
I hope I don’t find myself aghast
Of the next ten years.

It’s definitely a long journey
And I’m ready to take off
To take up a different sojourn
In the next ten years.

Lives will be changed
And a turn will be taken
Leading to something strange
Up the next ten years.

Many new goals will be set
And people will thrive
And will do anything to get.
In those ten years.

All I am stuck thinking
Is how much I will change
Leaving my old self behind lurking
Through the next ten years.
I think this poem is self explanatory, yeah!

New Year’s Eve
and the clatter of suitcase handles
defying the quiet car
concerning the woman in the seat beside me
silently screaming
into her teeth.
Pop! Pop! The train is under attack
the assault we fled from our point of origin follows us as
chaos kids chuck
firecrackers on the rails,
new worries, same as old and
further furrowing the silent screamer.
The air is must, jacketed bodies still heaving
from the sprint to catch the train
now sweating in repose and slipping off their winter shells and
no one is comfortable
so you know we must be traveling.
Someone cracks a window to combat the stale air,
sliced bread eaten plain & crumbs crumble the floor
furrowing brows yet further.
We’re all going somewhere
as our minds trace where we’re coming from
collectively and silently screaming
“THIS YEAR WILL BE DIFFERENT”
and most of us now sporting
furrowed brows
as the train pulls us inevitably forward
towards the future.

The whole decade thing came at us fast
Or did it
Was it really, what, 10 years?
*** (where the f¥€k did it go)
Surprising that it passes and so many people missed it
DO NOT miss the next one
Jump right in and start it robustly

Just mumbling some morning banter.....
I didn't even realise it was Friday...****

Morning rant and banter...!

Since I didn’t get you a Christmas card
And you said I haven’t wrote you a poem in a while
I decided to put a little something together
And I hope it makes you smile

This time of the year is all about happiness and cheer
It’s about family, friends, and being for grateful for what you hold deer

Which is why l am so blessed to be able to celebrate our life together
I am so grateful that we make it a point to appreciate the outdoors in every type of weather

I am so grateful that with you I can be myself with all my different moods
I am grateful that even if you don’t know what to do, you usually try to cheer me up with your awesome dance moves

I am grateful that I end each of my days with your snuggly snugs
And that you were considerate enough to get me some custom ear plugs

I appreciate that I have you by side for all of life’s ups and downs
Especially since I know that sometimes I am not the easiest person to be around

I love that we have already named our future cat
And that we both get happy when we listen to purple hat

Thank you Teddy for everything that you do
And I promise I will continue to work on being the best version of myself for you

When I think about us, I am so proud of how we’ve grown
And I can’t wait to experience the future with all of its unknowns

I can’t wait until we move into our home with style
And for the day when we get to walk down the aisle

I can’t wait for putting the kids to bed
And ending the night with a beer and a glass of red

I can’t wait to continue to grow and adventure with you
I can’t wait to accomplish our goals as individuals and also as a pair of two

So with all that being said I love you with all my heart
And I look forward to many more date nights ending with you losing at darts

So I want to suggest that we raise our glasses and cheer
To adventure, to us, to love, to growth, to the future, and to the New Year

Today flipped through my 10th grade journal
Stumbled upon a list
My greatest desires at the time
Things for which I most wished

The first and only thing written
To find someone who loves me
Tells me I'm beautiful every day
When I look and act ugly

Here I am nine long years later
Blessed with that guy
I am still unhappy
Don't know why
True story

Winter is here
Yet it is not yet Christmas
Not yet Winter Solstice
Nor Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or the Essene New Year!
It is snowing in my heart
It feels like winter.
It must be winter!

Sitting, being warmed by the fire
Comforted by the touch of soft fur
Fur Babe, Habibie, I love you
Remembering
Aaron's, Stephan's, Connors, Kevin's, Maria's birthdays
Singing with the Christmas Choir
Silver Bells and Deck the Halls
Evergreen trees, popcorn garland
Snowman soup
Gingerbread Cookies hung
On the boughs with red and green ribbons
Sharing gifts, laughter, hugs and joy
Christmas morning stockings
Filled with an orange, cinnamon roll
A few simple pleasures
Pass the Ibarra, please....

Why all the fuss? Continue to keep it simple!
Wrapped up in my fuzzy, two sided warm blanket

The comfort of my kitten and tears
Lifting my heart from my feet
Yes, it is still in one piece.

Finding the  Christmas Cards and notes to write.
Creating, to  celebrate those close to us
It is time to create new memories
And keep the Holiday Spirit alive.
Today I am missing my adult children and grandchildren. We live far apart from each other and traveling is not as easy as I had once thought. Yet I gather myself together and get on with it.  By getting out of myself and invite the neighbors over to celebrate the season. Write Christmas  and create birthday posts to send.  It is helpful for me to  take a bit of time to grieve, and then celebrate life.
