Gravity and reality are one and the same. Both will bring you down regardless of your name. But staying grounded isn't the worst thing to happen in a world where people can clip your wings as they make you think they're help you fly to the heavens.

My insanity became her master piece, built on broken trust she's made an ocean between us.

Leave if you must, but my shores will be empty

It’s only a short straight hill
(First Poem.of the Year)

“I'm 69, newly homeless, and can't wait to start the journey of a creative life after being asleep for so long. It's only a short straight hill and I'll be on a path into a new life.”

Jeremiah B Xxxxxx Jr.

<?>

it is
4:11am
on the
first day
of a new
year.

a year
is a unit;
mathematically
measurable,
defined,
calculable,
divisible
by seconds,
minutes,
hours & days,
all artifices,
mutually
acknowledged.

you,
& others,
remind
me too easily,
that the
creative
is the only
path
to endless,
(a unit immeasurable)
reinvigorating
life.

your fragrant
optimium optimism
is stun
gun overpowering,
the ill defined,
but instantly
understood,
immeasurable
distance,
you foresee
to life better is
conquerable!

”only a short straight hill”

imbues me to lift
head, heart, arm
& unloved dried ink pen,
to pen,
to unpack,
to speak,
of all that
needs climbing,
over the
artificial lines
of the first unit
of time:

a new year.

thank you.

blushes
tips, brushes and spills and the willingness of physics
dip the quill
blending a full face of colours trippy
tipping my crown, my head,
my thinker becomes      creation winning
inks
i wink   faithfully lacy    into the universe    pirouettes and eddies
tinkering
i divide myself    couple and quad and oct..
flood my breeding into the cosmos
spoon-feeding      peddling out into the mutter
the great relax of the creative meddle

a grenade of sunlight
the morning is sharply taken
bathing off of shots    from the reflective snow

i wish
i could give you the earth,
because you mean so much more
than it to me.
at night,
skin-to-skin we lay
our souls unite,
we were meant to be

i was falling asleep
when i heard you say
“are you awake?
i love you.”
paralysed by comfort,
but still half-awake
i replied in my mind
“i love you too”
wrote this one a couple months ago, only just now remembered i had a hello poetry account tho, so hey yall im back! does anyone even use this site anymore? lol

feet first
into the treat of the night
the teating streets
         the neighbours pool
drunken fools the pair of uz
      dunked in unruly lust
drunk as fruit flies
                  for the science
we list about
                                     and stumble
fumbling lyrics
    in our dripping clothes

laughing like art gone temple

a mentally unstable template

that'll be fazed by the sunrise

My lover is a shorter than me by a foot.
Her: 5'2 1/2
Me: 6'1

Fruit by the foot, I can say. I love one that rolls with flavor. I am Hershey kisses and she's my delightful caramel filling 💖.

Are they responding to an electric hum ?
