I am an idea thought up.
I am an idea forgotten.
I was a thought heard.
I am a thought  forgotten.
I am what you could’ve been.
I am the song of your heart.
I am a song unheard.
I am erased and forgotten.
have you tried to count
all these grains?
do not bother; instead
count all the ways you
can put them together.

until then, I will
grab a handful
and a shovel and some
quiet splashes of water
to pass the time.

this one has long spires
pointing above with all its
might, as if showing me
that the only way
to go is up.

another has windows beside
windows and they invite
me to come take a look, yet
I keep distance in fear that
I see something painful.

over there has a drawbridge
a shortcut to go the easy way
in or easy way out; or maybe you
will pull it up when you've
let it more that you can handle.

that farthest one is actually
the same as the home of princes
with towers and balconies where
together they spend their days
watching the flowers bloom.

this right here is my favorite
the youngest one, still a flat
expanse of soft ground that
begs to be held and to be
formed and loved.

choose one. call it by name,
because now you shall own it.
Embrace it, but take care
that your elbows fit the spires
and your shins are at peace.

but sooner that you wish,
the water retreats with the
will of potential; until it
finally roars back with
the bellow of decision.

and alas,
it is clean again.

All your potential is to be
whatever you want to be
All your energy is to do
whatever you want to do
Don't listen to anyone;
be how you want to be
Doing what you want to do
But each day, take one
step towards your dream
Though at times it may
seem too difficult to continue
But don't forget your dream
One day you will reach
your goal
Touching every ones soul!

I know
She is a princess
she dosen't need a crown,
because..
she is a princess,
She only have to show
because..
She is a princess
so tell the world around
& **I know

There is a princess potential in every girl

this game of to and fro
ebb and flow
come and go
yes and no

its driving me to the depths of a sea of confusion
where i drown myself in doubt
blacking out and going towards a light
that appears to be unimaginably beautiful

so much so that i can't even recall it
a reality draped in a shroud of my own creation
a potential happiness that has been empowered
before it has even taken its true form

the empowerment of a blind emotion
much like russian roulette but with a dart in the chamber
which has either come straight from cupid's bow
or its dipped with poison of a familiar cardiotoxicity

You're unsure your potential is worth keeping around.
You love life enough to leave it and protect everyone from you.
**** your protection. You know how I feel about that.
"Everything will be okay"?
"It always is"?
Nothing in me will feel okay until I can wrap my arms around you and feel you again.

A single life can make all the difference
They didn't just die that day, but there remain each day hence
Too many closed caskets leave open seats at the table
and bicycle lessons from mom cause dad isn't able

True loss is in the blank canvases, empty pages with pencils sharp
And in the overgrown gardens and the silent harp
Potential never realized in the inventions never made
In the empty desk on the first day of sixth grade

Like a fish that doesn't know water exists
We add names like groceries to the list
Three letters mark every bullet in the clip
The "END" in someone's friendship

Count the cost of a conversation with a stone in the ground
In place of a daughter in a wedding gown?
For power, greed, hate, or just by mistake
We will never know the cost of the lives we take
Much precious life is unnecessarily taken.
Foreign emotions
Unwelcome thoughts
Cynical humans
Knuckled bones
Tempestuous relationships
Hardened hearts
Imprisoned potential
S*landerous tongues
She is trapped in her head filled with dreams and nightmares.
Sometimes she falls into a deep despair.
A life of happiness is what she craves;
Before she’s dug beneath her grave.
What was once a reality is now in the pass;
Yet it still suffocates her like a thick toxic gas.
She screams out in silence for her Utopia.
Hoping to escape all her phobias
Her dreams held so much potential.
But her nightmares were more confrontational
If only she knew what she was capable of
Maybe she would be able to fly up above
Up above all her nightmares
And conqueror all her fears
But instead she’s drowning
Drowning in tears.

On a polished oak desk
Wrapped in a thin dust-jacket
Lies an unused pen,
A blank sheet of paper,
And an empty pack of cigarettes.

I used to think that if these things could breathe, they would be loneliness personified.

But that's wrong.
If they lived, they wouldn't be lonely at all.
