like the plants

in my garden:

i breathe,

i live,

i exist.

i let the people who

pass by

admire me.

i grow slowly.

i climb quietly.

wait for me to bloom.
i bought a small succulent today, a zebra plant.

i called it debra dimagiba.

the word “dimagiba” is actually two words in filipino - “di magiba” which in english means, it can’t be broken down.

Farewell my lonely friend
Should I apologize?
As you welt and bend
You're dead now
Gone with my luck
burnt out

Farewell
For I did not care
But now I sense a difference
There's sadness in the air
You were alone most of the time
I'd complain to you
But never hear your desperate cries

I should have cared
But I was never even there
I'm sorry my little green friend
I'm sorry that this is how you meet your end.

this is my song of sorrows
where my heart weeps
and my body collapses
where i fall to the ground
and become one with the earth
where mother nature takes me in
and wraps her roots around me
making me feel safe and secure
but still my heart aches

stop watering it,
these roots are getting flooded and they have no life to withstand.

please don’t let any more words
drop out your sweet tongue,
my insides are expanding in agony.

this seed you planted,
I built a fence to protect it from your  rain
and harm,
so it  may slowly die.

yet life has broken into it,
and the wind was screaming last night.
I didn’t realise until now.

until I came to find your walls were shattered,
and to my realisation my fence was melted.

that’s when the pain has began
brewing, foaming.
leaking into each vein and intertwines around their blue tunnels.
I am sick at the thought.

these roots stream into my nerves,
closing my sleep, my words
as I only inhale yours through my pipe.
then engulfing this seed
that seems to shoot further up me,
when you are furtherst away.

this was what you once felt to me

A simple plant drew two together
Exchanges sparked conversations
He fell for her
She sought salvation

He
He wore black armor
The reflection off his soul gleaming off cold metal
Through gaps and vulnerabilities was raw flesh
Mauled and bruised

She
She garnered no armor
An aura of fire surged about her
A beauty challenging that of Helen
Dangerous in every sense

A goddess before him, she danced
Her flame burning brighter and brighter
The knight was cool in the shade of great armor
The two ran together; making love, slaying demons
Committing crime, torching innocents

In a past life, a child was sacrificed
In ritual to disturb spirits of fire
Rituals pleasing evils known by many mortals
Now, the Sun Goddess jokes and laughs
Leaving a path of smoldering, black ash

Basking in a fiery ball of passion
The duo holds each other
Until love ignites

A ball of flame unfolds from their hearts
A
Hell fires licked the skin of the lover
And left scars down to his heart

A once brilliant flame, lies smoldering in the rubble
The young knight drags himself beside Her
Rubies burning in ash and soil run through his fingers
Their soft glow fades to black

He weeps tears of lava
The goddess infected him
Filling his mortal body
With Her essence

Under the weight of losing Her
Under the weight of great misadventure
He decayed while a crimson spear burst from his heart

Through beams of red a flame is reborn
And from the torso of a black corpse
Rises a goddess of hate and corruption
Scorching the face of the Earth once more

Slo-
Ly,
In this,
Life,
Right here,
To break you.
I,
Could,
Be,
An Angel,
Planting secrets.
Just,
Can not,
Remove,
You like a tattoo,
You know,
That's not what you want me to be.
Not stressful,
Uncontrollable,
Bursting from the seams,
So comfortable,
Given the circumstances,  like more
Durable,
A passion,
Like an inspiration,
If we're still friends , I'll give you an
Invitation.

I imagine a biological plant,
I reach for It but can't touch It beacuse It's only my imagination.

I picture the same plant and reach to grab it but this time It's in 2D.

Now I am holding the plant. I can see and feel It got many features trying to prove itself being realistic but
It got no smell, no dirt, no life. It's just a prop.

Unlike your plant..

I can feel the warmth, the edgy imperfections, the good intentions of your plant.
I can see the healthy strains, the perfect ratio, the water flowing through your plant.
I can smell the unique aroma, the soul essence, natures soil all over your plant.

So I inject my plant with drugs, steriods and testoserone to match yours.
Look at my plant now world!
- Its just GMO'd.
Trying to be real made my plant more fake than It ever was.

How am I supposed to spread my seeds when my plant is so dysfunctional?
It would only create more confused and broken plants and eventually the world would be destroyed.

"Evolution could only come after a revolution"
Is a quote stuck in my brain.
Should I let my plant rot for the better
or should I keep watering It hoping for the best?
I really dont know anymore.
sweet tree
raised from
tropical
earth

to grow upright
and out
to sprout
from trunk
a bunch of
pink and
pointed pods

or perhaps
crimson or
yellow
aubergine
tangerine
green

scythed clean
from host
and hacked
in two
for getting at
seeds a-pulp
in white
and slimed

and spreading
them out under
the sun
to get hot
in their own
juices

to ferment
wild

to bake
dry

poured tinkling
by the
thousands into
sacks of hessian
for sending
‘cross seas

to furnace-cracked
futures
winnied and
conched
sweetened
melted
and hardened
into shapes
of other things

Cacao trees are spectacularly beautiful. They love the humid, mountainous air near the equator, and the regular washings of rain.

Nestled in the understory of bigger forest trees, they sprout these colourful, magical pods out of their trunks and drape them over with big, shady leaves. It’s truly other-worldly.

Only fitting for the most magical food on earth!

And the intricate process of coaxing their bitter seeds into luxurious chocolate is a great marvel of modern industrialism. From harvesting, fermenting and drying the beans to roasting, conching, sweetening and tempering, chocolate has become a true labor of love.
love is the sweetest seed
you'll ever plant in a heart
to make it enduringly flourish
tend it well from the start

love's blossom shall grow
into a beautiful array
an exquisite rouge rose
cherished for its display

Valentine the perpetual
gardener of endearedness
cares with a loving touch
profound in true closeness
