Frustrated Poet Sep 2014
Before I thought of doing it
My neck cradles itself sidewards
A strange glimpse
Stood out with radiance
And I knew it was different

I catch myself looking at you from afar
Your eyes meet mine
Is it just coincidence
Or an accident that happens too often?

Our glances hold messages
Of undefined feelings
Words become fathomless
For our eyes manifest.

Your eyes wandered through the crowd
And mine roamed around
We both know
This is just an excuse, a distraction
Not to seem obvious...
Until they locked
And I swear I won't let this moment pass

Oh, your eyes
Inviting me to see
Bidding me to come closer
Wanting to let me know you deeper.

I'd look at them all day of course;
Because of all the eyes staring
I only care for yours*.

All it took was a glance
a quick look out the corner of my eye
I was spiraling
I didn’t know
what to do
what to say
who to be
who you were
at that moment
so much time had passed
we were different you and I
both of us lost in this big world
not really sure what to do
one of us more so than the other
you seemed okay without me
but I wasn’t okay without you
You purposely hurt me
flirting with other girls in front of me
taking names, numbers
we were supposed to be “friends”
even though we could never be friends
we liked each other
or so I thought
It worked so well
but failed so hard
Im stuck on you
and a glance was all it took.
You are
the ink,
the page,
the poem.
"Surely you must've known, it was all for you." -Pride and Prejudice
It all started with a pain
Until there's nothing more to gain

All of this that I've felt
Is something that has to melt

All of this
One little glance, One last kiss
Is all a part of me

Forever.

Peace at first,
Seems like hurt,
When you let go of thought you find out what your worth,

It could be through teaching,
It could be through preaching,
As long as to the sky you're continously reaching,

The allegory of the cave,
For those who are saved,
Could be a road well traveled or one unpaved,

If you choose to pray,
Or with conscious you play,
We can go and grow together to start a new day,

Once separation can cease,
And on common ground we meet,
The sun will shine brighter and we shall all know new peace.
Cool down
Absorb by nature
To stay awhile
For a little bit longer

As the wind pass by
The Green Leaves of Natures
Dances through the rhyme
Bask of time

Get awe and wonder
Thrilled in trill
As you would admire
To climb the highest falls

A glance of it
For a foretaste of good time
Would not be a kiss goodbye
It’s a treasure of a lifetime

An hour of silence
Let your dreams remind
While you’ll be captivated
As yourself search inside

It’s beauty
It’s pride
As you are surrounded by
And embraced by nature

i can't help it,
everyday,
whatever I do,
we grow older.

i'd love to grow old with you,
but I'm not ready to give up my youth.

heavenly thoughts in you,
nostalgic thoughts untrue:
take me back to when
bike rides and ice cream ruled my land.

steak on the grill, corn on the cob,
fed my summer trance.

take me back to when
a simple sunset caught my glance.

my mom told me to explain
so i did, i explained every pain.
everything, but she didnt believe me again.
she said she knows im lying, im insane.

im telling you i was telling the truth.
but no one believed me.

she gave me a second chance
she said explain everything and tell me the truth
i just sat there
not even looking at her
she shouted im only gonna say that once
so i gave her a glance
i didnt bother to speak
for what?
even tho
i'll explain everything, the truth
she still wont believe me.

im over it, cause i said my sorrys
she said her sorrys too.
but still, i felt miserable.
cause *the one who i thought would always believe me
just told me that no one will believe me.
